I can tell you, Jean Pierre really does simple and hearty recipes. I've done more recipes from him than from all the other YT'ers I follow combined. And delicious recipes at that!
"Life is what you make out of it" and "Find the good" just shows why people like you so much, you are such a nice and heartwarming person and it shows. God bless your mother for teaching you like this.
I learn SO MANY tricks! And I pass them on to my grandkids. They LOVE cooking w/ grandma. And for the older ones, we sit down and have a video fest watching “The Chef”. That’s how they know you! THE CHEF! ❤
Enjoy your travels, and time with those you love this Summer... we all love you here, but understand you must have time for yourself and those you love.
You are your Mother's son, Chef. You find and spread joy in every video you make! And it shows in your recipes, prep and cooking. You and Jack make our day! ❤
Watching Jean always puts me in a good mood. Something about seeing someone so happy to be doing what they do gives me hope that this world is not completely broken.
There's so many recipes that you have shown that my grandmother makes, and I never thought people ate some of the things I did as a kid. Thank you for reminding me how special of a woman she is and how lucky I was to be exposed to so many different foods.
What most people don’t realize, is food brings back memories of our childhood. Most of the time, it’s what ‘Grandma’ made! We go back in time, in our memory bank, and want to cook the dishes our grandmother made! It’s all about the memories and where, in time, we wish to go back to! Chef, you are amazing!
TAT-ZEE-KEE. One of the best dips to any dish. Those pancakes were almost latkes! Isn't it great when so many cultures are presented on a single plate? I love food LOL.
Dear Chef Pierre, Those pancakes look good. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you properly you not only included a complete recipe for the pancakes on the same page is the recipe for the Tzatziki sauce you made this so easy
Made this last night. Delicious! My wife is now fully on board the Jean-Peirre train! I cut the recipe in half as there are only two of us- still made 4 massive pancakes, so be ready for leftovers! We served with a tahini sauce instead of the tzatziki, and it was great.
Thank you so much Chef, I really really enjoyed watching you create those delicious pancakes. I’ve saved the recipe and I’m. Going to create some for my family. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
I just made these for my mom and me. I used Herb De Providence instead of the oregano and cooked them using ghee. The best zucchini pancakes I've ever made.
I'm forever grateful for your recipies & sense of humor u bring to it & sharing with ur audience stories of your Mom. Thank you, please keep doing it. ❤ I enjoy watching you.❤😊❤
Fantastic way of looking at life Chef Jeann Pierre! Relevant to us all and a beautiful thing to say. Absolutely true! Huge fan of you're channel since the beginning.
We love you, Chief ❤️ Not only your food but you as a person just wonderful. You're great gift to this 🌎. Please, stay well and have a good time on your summer holiday!🎉
If I had a $1 for every time Chef Jean Pierre says “it’s amazing” when he cooks, I’d be $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Don’t you just love watching the chef do stuff that he obviously loves doing. Don’t worry I know onya always #1
I love this guy,I wish you had a your own tv show, you would be awesome.. I love techniques you explain, your such a great teacher.you don't just explain how to cook but explain the WHY, such as onions first, capturing the fragrance of the garlic. You remind me so much of my parents (RIP) who were from Calabria Italy. I'm fromLong Island NY. Wish I can meet u one day in Fl. I would love to see u do a recipe for NY Cheesecake or Cannolis. Thanks for making cooking fun!!!
Chef, they were a little oily cooked in the pan. My daughter suggested cooking them with a waffle iron and they turned out great. You’re the best Chef!
Chef! I made these today! And just like love making, I made many substitutions! I made the wonderful Greek Tzatziki sauce as well! I used milk bags to get the rest of the water out. I'm glad I keep those around, because I use them to make fresh ricotta and cashew milk from time to time. Thank you, Chef!
Made these last night to go with a crab salad they were great. Taking the water out really helps the texture, my wife had to admit they were better than her Mother's. Thanks for all you do I really enjoy learning from you.
John Pierre, please don’t get a hernia, lol you always make me laugh. You never cease to amaze me. You educate me and you make me smile. Have a blessed day.
Thank you, chef. Wonderful video and advice. I had a car accident two months ago and I am glad to be alive with 3 plates and a couple of screws. But I am well enough now to make food for my family and bake your potato bread and your brownies to my hubby and father. 🥰🥰🥰 You are a true inspiration. God bless.
My wife just has these (frozen and boxed) for the first time last night and LOVED them. So be it to my surprise when this came up today ! looking forward to making. Was introduced to your videos in culinary class. Cheers from Pennsylvania
You are AMAZING Chef!! A true inspiration to us all xx I love my life too, since I started watching your cooking lessons, I've been in the kitchen daily recreating your masterpieces.
😀 lots of spunk👍🏼 love it❣️ Myself, eating like a vegetarian, working my way to vegan, I like your recipes! Lots of vegetables in your recipes 👍🏼 very heart healthy! Keep it up, Sir 💘 Thank you 🙏🏼
You know Chef JP , you're not only an exeptional lovelble chef but also a philosopher too , thanks to your dear mother , bless her heart ♥ . I grew up on similar courgette pancakes , without the cheese , but with basil or sage & yogourt cucumber mint sauce 😋
Thank you for sharing. Just in time, I have fresh zucchini coming out of my garden. One thing on my bucket list is meeting you in person to thank you for making me a better cook. ❤❤
Perfect timing for this recipe from the best chef around. I couldn't think of things to do with the garden zucchininis that are going crazy in my yard. Thanks!!
Chef JP, I have a challenge for you. I am an over the road truck driver, with an 8 quart pot and a 10 inch fry pan. My ingredients include ground beef, clarified butter, 28 oz canned tomatoes, small cans of tomato paste, dry tyme, dry basil, dry terragon, and dry rosemary. Onyos, penne, Spaghetti noodles, macaroni noodles. Also have lots of butter and cream. I have 1 spatula and 1 chef knife. I love binge watching your videos Chef JP! looking forward to seeing your creation!
It’s not been a good day until now. You are the only chef that makes me laugh out loud. Thank you for sharing the lesson you learned from your mother. You’re a great teacher. Do you know how many countries you get comments from?
Thank you Chef Jean-Pier for this wonderful zucchini recipe.I also love cauliflower pancakes once a while, they taste amazing especially with a bit of bacon or smoked ham or just plain.
Thank you, Chef, we love you and thank you for all that you do!! A longshot request ... can you please make potato knish? I have not had one for years and have been craving it! If anyone can make it perfect, it would be you!
Thanks so much!!!! We are flooded with yellow squash and zucchini right now and none of our friends will come near us for fear that we will share with them. Now I know what to do with them!
Focusing on the hood Chef! That’s the secret to a long happy life!! Unfortunately that’s what a lot of French people forget to do… they’re always complaining and don’t realize how good they have it… ❤ I’m half Belgian, half Greek and live in the US and chef, you did a beautiful job with that Tzatziki sauce ❤️ thank you for sharing your love for food, your wonderful personality and your life philosophy ❤
Squash -- so easy to grow! And so so plentiful! Growing up, I remember having squash nearly every way possible (within reason, huh!?!), definitely trying to eliminate waste... and "garden" is so so good (truly things to appreciate)! De-watering can also be done simply by squeezing in the hand(s) over a bowl or in the sink! Very good combo pairing with the tzatziki --- goes very well together. Thanks Chef! Be Safe
To quote my other favorite TH-cam chef (Chef John) regarding the crust test with that fork: "Fork don't lie!" Another *EXCELLENT* video, just in time for the summer Zucchini invasion!
Hi Chef Jean-Pierre! I love zucchini, and am very happy to have this recipe. I let some of my zucchini get pretty big, slice in rounds, roll in flour, eggs, then flour and fry. I love them with spaghetti and garlic toast. These would be good with spaghetti, too. My zucchini are just coming on, so will save this in my Chef Jean-Pierre folder. It was nice hearing Jack at the end with the extra clip. Thank you and Jack for all you do and for sharing!
Thank you too, for sharing your Mom with us. I love hearing the stories. She must have been a beautiful person. Bless her heart. ❤
🙏🙏🙏❤️
I guarantee she was amazing, she was chefs mama 🤗❤️
You are amazing chef, love you always. I made your potato bread, and my family loved it ❤ thank you for being awesome

Chef cooks so good, even his oven looks impressed.
Lol, I was worried it was just me that thinks his oven looks like a big shocked robot face, he's even got a real "handlebar" moustache
Perfect timing to watch your new episode while eating breakfast
