They sound very close to the original, you also need to keep in mind how they record these cars which is a perspective you can never hear in real life. But the sounds do lack a bit in the dynamic range and the raw, dirty, crispy sounds of the cars.
Only complaint about the LFA is that it needs to be a tiny bit higher pitch, and that the shifts in Forza are too smooth, and the real LFA has a lot of delay, almost sounds like you’re driving stick
The subaru Impreza comparison was inaccurate because the IRL one had equal length headers and the one in game has unequal length, the sounds are different not because of quality but because of the parts used in each.
Impressive..really. Me as a Sound Sceptic i really like the way the car sound in fh5. Theres no comparison against Fh4. But theres a bit a lack of deph in the sounds. But they are good.
I think the reason why not all car sounds in Forza, in this video sound similar to those real one is because for example in case of the old Impreza WRX STI or the Lancer Evo the real counterparts were the tuned versions with little different engine after changes, the power and exhaust but if you take for example cars like Lexus LFA, Mustang Shelby even Ferrari 488 Pista or Lamborghini Urus, they didn't sound much different than real counterparts, very very accurate in the way you hear the engine itself screaming. It all has to do what video with real cars you take for comparision but also if it is easy and possible to find because it's not always that easy. :) Of course not every car sounds perfect or extremely accurate with the rough exhaust sounds etc. but they for sure sound quite good and accurate comparing to what it was in previous Forza or even in some of last years. After a time we will get only improved sounds in racing games i'm sure. :)

When you have 500+ cars to add in the game there ought to be compromises. I wouldn’t blame the developers, pretty sure they tried their best.
Exactly, and it’s only going to get better from here
500+ cars plus an entire world to make realistic with ray traced audio, 4k visuals and optimization for last gen consoles and cultural background knowledge with REAL time 7 day mexico skybox rendered in photorealistic manner in quality mode on an xbox series x?
If a racing game could get game of the year, look mo further, this is it
@@ernestochang1744 you couldn't have said it any better mate. I've seen it time and time again people complaining "this doesn't sound EXACTLY like it does in real life." some people just aren't appreciative of playground games' work
@@Zabud42 what many other people dont think about is that the next forza motorsport which comes next year focuses more heavily on the racing aspect and more realism, and uses a completely overhauled design, forza horizon 5 is running on the same engine as forza horizon 4 and to be fair what they have put out is pretty incredible if i do say so myself, so if the sounds are a little bit off, i dont think its a big deal
If they can just do about 3 variations of these recordings and combine them to make it feel " random", which will sound more realistic.
No what they should do is record the actual sound of the cars instead of giving people this shit.
@@vikingshpvs465 Lol
cars sound amazing!
It would have been even more interesting if you compared real life launch control to the game. Nevertheless, awesome video 🤘🏾
AMAZING!!!
It's close like how my BMW sounds😍
The LFA sounds so good
Please do one with all the corvettes
The subaru Impreza comparison was inaccurate because the IRL one had equal length headers and the one in game has unequal length, the sounds are different not because of quality but because of the parts used in each.
Also that Real Agera sounded so fukin angry and beautiful at the same time.
Is this with the race upgrade or stock exhaust
The LFA is literally real.
