Nice fix buddy, Nothing better than fixing up old junk. Those sodding pull starts are a pain. Almost had a new engine heater go up on me yesterday. A new SkyRC 12v.

Mines 25 years old and still runs beautiful, Ive put a rotstart on it cos the compression is so high, it loves the heat to, defo give it a blast they are powerful engines even in a 1/8th scale car Ive still got the instruction manual for my Thunder Tiger ST1 with a .28 pro engine and the factory settings are low speed 6 and a 1/2 turns out / High speed 2 and 3/4 turns out and throttle position 5mm, just in case you want them but knowing you you wont need them.
My sister does a similar thing, I lend her something and she holds on to it so long that when I ask for it back she thinks it's hers. I've started to make a note so I can show her - look I lent it to you on this date :)
The bloke I lent my puller to stopped talking to me a few years ago after he stole 100L of diesel from me. I’ve tried phoning him to get my puller back but he won’t answer.

I bought a thunder tiger st1 about 20yrs ago. It has a .28 pro in it and it still runs as good today as it ever did. Great little engine !
If you do find a good pullstart for it id love to know, ive been bump starting mine for months at this point ....

Can you still get liners and pistons for these engines? I can't seem to find any and I might need a set. Trying to revive a water damaged engine and the bearings are crusty as anything..

I picked up a Redcat earthquake that has no starter pin. There's a plate but no pin. Redcat is out of stock. Do you have a suggestion on what might work or am I just bullocks Out lol. @@HaggardRC

Still dont understand why the previous owner had to dismantle the engine leaving parts scatter all over the place? How can you lose the heat sink???????

Did you check the bearings in that engine ,i know you know what you are doing , when i rebuild used engines the first thing i do is change the bearings , maybe a headshim ?
As I said in the video, they seem alright but not ideal… if they fail they fail 🤷🏻♂️

RC scrapyard sells comlete sh*te mate stay away from there. all the stuff is aliexpress stuff marked up at premium price.. i had metal spur gear from there and it melted like cheese within 5 minutes of use yet the plastic one i still have because it run fine on that for months of daily use... complete rip off of a place and told me it was my fault!!! lmao...
