When I think of that McDonalds on International Drive, I mostly remember it for the talking trash cans they had in there in the 1980s. As a kid, in the 80s, anything that had a robot voice was cool - and that place had the coolest trash cans ever. I wish they sold them today because I'd buy some for my house even if it drove everyone else nuts.

Arcade Monsters looks like an amazing retro arcade. They definitely got the old school arcade vibes down. The blacklight artwork is so cool. Player 1 doesn't look bad either. I actually live in Vegas but haven't checked it out yet. It's nice to know that retro arcades are still making a comeback around the US. Way better than the modern day arcades like Dave & Busters that are more like gambling halls for kids. Mainly crappy ticket games and whatnot. Funny what they consider an arcade nowadays.

I am a huge fan of the Star Wars trilogy, and the sound the tie fighters make as they fly by in the movie are actually the sound of a elephant played backwards.
Wow... $5 for free-play at that second arcade is an awesome deal. Wish I lived near one.
That use to be lil darlings ,it was a 50s theme hop joint they use to film in there in the 90s , behind it use to be Old Town 50s theme candy ,soda etc shops for tourists. Crazy!! Lots of famouse 50s rock n rollers walked thru there

Thanks man, my girlfriend and I travel to find local old school arcades around us. I go to the Arcade Monsters in Oviedo and that I Drive location. Now I need to check out Player 1, especially for $5 dollar entry.

I love the Arcades. Used to take my children when we lived in KY. Now they take their children here in Florida.
Awesome video Jay! Those 2 game places are really cool. There is a game place in Gainesville called Bragging Rights. I haven't been yet I do follow there Facebook page and they have alot of really good retro games there. It's like 20 something dollars and all the free play a person wants to play on games.
I enjoyed watching this Jay! I love going and playing old fashioned video arcade games. I believe that Anime picture is from DragonBall Z. If I had to pick I would rather go to Player One since they have the re-entry . But I guess it all depends where you live or how close you are to any of them.

I work with player 1 in vegas on certain events and its an awesome hidden gem and is by unlv so it seems to do well most nights definitely a great addition to Vegas attractions!!

Like you, some of these trigger great flashback memories. For me, 1980’s and Tron at Starcade in Disneyland. My family waiting patiently as I just had to knock out that last light cycle!
Man that takes me back. When I was a kid I loved the motorcycle games where you actually rode the cycle. Those were so much fun. Even when you took the curve too fast and took out the audience lol 😂

Jay, have you been to the KISS mini golf & museum at the Rio Hotel in Vegas? I was there in October’23. It’s awesome. I will be there in Vegas again this October and plan on going back because the museum part has so much you need to go more than once to take it all in. Also, going to the pinball museum in Vegas when I am there because I didn’t get to go last time. I did go to Zia Records in Vegas great CD/Vinyl/movies/ pop culture store.

I played the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game there like about 10 times, and never beat it.
Jay, just was curious if you and your dad happened to watch Disney's "The Rocketeer" together back in the early 90's? I know Disney and or the Universal Studio parks had had some type of Rocketeer entertainment going on back in it's heyday. I used to love the "Twister" movie walkthrough and the "Back to The Future" ride.
I love that movie! Dint recall is I did but mostly likey did watch that with Dad! Classics! The best!
Heard there were Rocketeer Easter eggs scattered about one or more of the theme parks. Maybe one day you can possibly locate them because you are pretty good when it comes to that.

So Arcade monsters looks like a good mix of games. You don't really need to see Japanese arcade after that. However Player 1 when it was its old location use to be a place that I hung out at A LOT. I don't think I've been to a bar in years now not when beers out here can be about under buck.
