- TV Presenter and former Love Islander, Chris Hughes joins Stephen at Cue Tips HQ for a frame of snooker and a chat. The two talk about Chris's BBC documentary, what it's really like on Love Island and Chris's life as a now TV presenter for a variety of sport. Chris also happens to be a very handy snooker player with some lovely shots on offer in this video. Stephen also gives out plenty of Cue Tips to Chris and tells us what he'd do to get out of some safety shots that he put Chris under! Do let us know in the comments any future guests you'd like to see on the channel as well.
Subscribe to the channel for weekly snooker content, we have plenty more videos to come.

Chris, 'it's really important people open up and talk about mental health and physical health. It can save lives.
Stephen, 'Yeah absolutely. Now watch this blue.'
This is the world we live in. Full respect to Chris for talking about it, it's certainly not a message that is out there enough, especially for men.
I was thinking he brushed it off lol
Very George W Bush esque that. 'Now watch this drive'
Love the diverse range of guests , good to see the difference between the regular player and top pros
Alex Ferguson loves his snooker. A frame with him would be cool
Chris what a legend and down to earth guy! Playing snooker with the legend Hendry amazing
Haha, I love Stephen's use of his life experience as a mature guy. He lived the life himself with what he achieved with Snooker in his youth in the early 90s. He took all the questions thrown at him in good spirit of nature and then delved into this love island guy and became inquisitive which was good as that geezer himself then opened up.
I’ve gotta give it to Chris he’s got a lot to him I’ve seen him be knowledgable on cricket, horse racing and snooker 👏
Even when its for fun and against an amateur, I love how ruthless/competitive Stephen is on the table 😂. I guess the champion mentality never leaves no matter who or what you're playing for
He always has to mention how he’s still got top spot with the tough table challenge 😂
Great guest! (You both come across as smart and grounded.) And kudos for taking on testicular checking and talking so openly about it.
From a creative standpoint, it’s always better to have the subject DOING something to disrupt the tried&true interview tropes.
Thanks.
Great watch 👌Look forward to seeing Steve Davis & Ronnie on in the future 👏
Really really loving this new content. On the face of it so simple yet so effective! Excited to see more
Another excellent watch. Thank you. Stephen is and always will be the 🐐 - no player has ever dominated snooker the way he did
This channel just goes from strength to strength with its range of top guest players, and other interesting guests...and Stephen - just being himself. Very good! Also, that was a very poignant story about his brother - very '8alls to the wall' stuff! GGs all round!
the way chris talks around the table is like he's pretending to be a commentator at times, which is so relatable lmao
Will you please discuss the barry hawkins and li hang push shot in your next video? BTW loving the videos and can't wait for more cue tips videos and Judd and Ronnie to come✌🏻❤️
Wasn’t a push shot. Watch it in super slow mo.
Definitely a push shot, look how far the white travelled
Leave that to Cesear Moyur I reckon~
Another great video! Would like to see a video with Stephen discussing different cues and what he uses.
This is currently my favorite YT channel. Could we get earl the pearl for an episode?
Never heard of this guy but one of the best podcasts i've seen, excellent stuff and bringing things into the open. Keep up the awesome content Stephen.
Chris is a natural. I actually forgot whose show it was
Love how Hendry takes the miss on the foul from the safety, his competitiveness is still there 🤣
if i were to play the miss rule in my games a good snooker wins the frame haha. We dont play it
this is turning into my favorite snooker channel i gotta say, nice job Stephen
This is great. Props to Stephen and Chris 👏
Great stuff Stephen, keep them coming !!!
This channel has become one of my favourites love it
Chris is one hell of a bloke, in whatever he does always a positive way and speaks so well
im a small time youtuber & ive watched snooker all my life , i can remember being a small child and being mesmerised with the green bay and the clink of balls on the table . id love to play a frame against you sometime , would be utterly insane .
what an absolute fucking hero he is i love the fact u can see how excoted he is to play with hendry and the chance to pot a few nice reds just makes my day i love the fact that chris plays for the men who cnt make their favoured shot i respect that so much and im sure every snooker player ever respedcts ur decision to play for enjoyment and i wish u the best life ever
chris would get it tbf id give him a slice but steohen is a beautiful man with elegant skill i love that man
Stephen, another cracking video mate. Please please can you do a video on where club players should get an appropriate cue from? how much should one spend and where should one go to? what are the options etc etc. Cheers!
I love it , realy Stephen Hendry quality , wonderful shots with talking , need more time for lang blue ball , many thanks for this video 🙏🙏👏👏👍👍
Great show. Really enjoyed. Loving the channel Stephen.
great content, the best snooker videos on youtube
...coming from the other side of the world, had no idea whom Chris Hughes was, but that was a really interesting chat. He is right about blokes not discussing stuff btw. Maybe Stephen Fry or David Mitchell next time in for a knock around and chat? (I know Mitchell likes watching snooker, so, why not)). Good Video Stephen - liking this new channel. Pots. Australia.
Love this so much ! Legends
Unreal bloke Hughes is! Proper Topman! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
This guy is so engaging. Great vid.
I didn’t think this one would be that good, it was excellent!
I loved this episode. Great guest
I'll be honest, I turned my nose up when I saw "love island" in the title but enjoyed this one, Chris seems like a down to earth guy, and has a better break than me! haha
He seemed a complete bell on the show but seems sound here.
I put off watching this because of the title love island, but fairplay..really nice bloke and enjoyable frame to watch. Great series Stephen, looking forward to the Xmas special 😆
I love this channel! Thanks guys. Victor...
Loving the videos and regular content!
Interesting to see the adv board for 'this is snooker' there, i heard that was cancelled?
I don’t know anything about the guest but he seems like a genuinely great guy. He’s using his platform for very good causes.
enjoyed that nice one and great content looking forward to more
Great watch. I really like your channel.
Loving these videos, great stuff
Nice name
Great video again.cheers.🍺🍺👍
Enjoying the videos. How about shooting one on preferred solo practice routines? Maybe something for the rookies to work on.
Man id love to play a game with Stephen!
Good shooting Stephen!!!!
Great content 👍🏼
Stephen, could you cover cue tips, the shapes and why please
What a pleasant man this bloke is
keep it up sir full support from lahore pakistan
Enjoyed that. John Virgo would make a great guest!
Good stuff that!!👍
Great video
Excellent again Stephen , who’s next ? Gary lineker is a snooker fan as far as I’m aware
Get Frankie Boyle on and make it an R21 video
Game of Doubles please. You, Ronnie, Williams, Higgins or Doherty please! Proper legends
I wonder why there are no longer any televised snooker doubles competitions. I remember in the 80s the likes of Alex Higgins and Jimmy White against Thorburn ant Thorne. It was a bit different.
Good stuff
I love Stephen's keep cool video my friend play good game
great video
Loving this channel, how about getting Mike tyson on Stephen hendry haha
I always felt looking back Stephen was one of the ones in the 90s that was rewarded from his achievements in snooker with a good life. He knew how to enjoy himself, but equally was very disciplined and professional; Steve Davis, a Mark 2, but ironically his Nemesis.
Love from India ❤️
'Love Island' is my idea of vapid TV Hell, but this Chris fella seems like a good bloke 👍
I did like it!
Class this
I don't know this guy but the video was good anyway.
Teach us all ur skills Stephen
S.H got to much of a fight the last 3 games and challenged a regular :) he is the best
Do an episode with judd NexT, it would be awsome
Couldn't see you watching love Island Stephen 🤣
totally brill
A 40 start from 7 time world champion to someone who’s only made 30 breaks lol. Still, love to play a few frames with the wonder bairn 😃
@Stephen Hendry what is the chalk that you and Chris are talking about? I'm having more kicks than Neymar 😳
I'm not sure even Judd would have gone for that opening red.
please do one with Ben Forster.
Hendry playing the miss rule 😂😂😂
Can somebody tell me the brand of the chalk please. Can't find it anywhere 😂
Taom chalk
Stephen you need to get hypnotised and get that belief and ability back. You can still get it back
Not Ebdon, but I'll take it.
A video with barry hawkins pleaseee
Judd got a kick against Davis on Friday and went 4-2 down instead of 3-3. Still don't know why he uses the old chalk.
He just talked about it in cue zone with jack. The reason he mentioned is avoiding risk of miscue
If you think Taom chalk makes the difference, when for decades the same chalk was used, I think you need to have a good look at your cueing action lol. Miscues happen with any chalk
This guy talks when he should be listening.
A Hughes thank you for this guest but prefer the snooker stars than Love Island personalities as there's less snooker chat.
Tbf he was quite decent, I would fluff the easiest ball over the pocket with Stephen standing over it 😄
What chalk are they using?
Taom
What chalk are they talking about? I assume triangle is the old one?
Taom
Shephen still has game
Stephen Henry:
"Oh I started losing confidence in my abilities in snooker"
*Casually deep-screws a long red*
What is the chalk called ?
Taom
John Terry next Stevey?
Made me laugh when they was talking about the chalk and Steven Hendry said it cost £15 but its lasted me a year 😂 there’s not a chance a man of your history and the volume of your name in this beautiful game snooker pays for chalk I bet taom send you a box full 😂 it’s definitely worth the £15 though
👍👍👍👍😀
We need Ronnie on this asap
God, he loves his own voice!
get yourself to derbyshire into my garage :)
I’m surprised Chris hasn’t used his platform to discuss his gambling addiction.
What's the new chalk they talking about?
Taom
You're such a gentleman Stephen, not taking the brown off the last red, going for crazy blue just to him a chance. Don't know the fella you're playing but he doesn't seem this clued in about snooker. "Straight forward clearance" he claims? Yes, for Stephen but not for the rest of us.
