It's all about the build of the van and an insulated body shell.
All of the industrial strength battery power and spark plugs you can get, backup solar, and an industrial strength alternator. For cold temps that is.
Warm climates all you need is that backup solar and a mobile AC system.

I stayed all winter in Canada in a C series RV and what was a game changer was a simple candle burning all night. Kept the humidity down, humidity being your biggest enemy in the cold. And since I was doing it in temps that went well below 0°c, I mean lol
Just use an unscented safety candle, in a safe container, in a foil plate.

Despite having insulation, hardwood floor, wool padding and vinyl flooring on the floor of our trailer we still felt a lot of cold coming from the floor. The thing that finally really helped was a RUBBER BACKED throw rug (like an entry way rug). It made a dramatic difference and it can be washed .
Those hand warmers are great also. I place one or two on my chest and it really helps.

Make a cover for the water bottle ,this does 2 things .Stops you getting burned if the bottle breaks/leaks also gradually lets heat out over a longer time . We use a wabasto cab heater (inline heater) extra battery & diesel fuel. Uses about a cup of fuel… also have an engine heater that circulates the antifreeze. + heavy window coverings. I see you sleep in a super single spot, we would curtain that area so the heat remains around us, our truck has a front grill cover, but suggest cardboard attached with zip ties or twist ties. You need 4 ties each corner.. really helps keep the engine warm. Our sleeping bag is an extra large big timber -35 sleeping bag that has a flannel layer that you can remove to wash. XL means we wrap our feet. Our mattress is 8 inch foam with reflective furnace pipe wrap which is thicker than Rv wrap.. also wear a cap that has side flaps that cover the ears & tie under the chin..

You actually stay warmer naked in a sleeping bag because sleep clothes allows your body heat out but insulates the heat the sleeping bag stores away from your body. No sleep clothes allows heat from the bag to stay near your skin keeping you warmer.
I figured that out sleeping in non heated tents in the dead of winter. Also, always open your bag so it can air out/dry as any perspiration or condensation trapped in the bag will make you colder the next night.

Vermonter here. -17 with wind chill of up to -40 is typical in February. 30's feels like bikini weather at that point, lol!

What I like about your videos is, that you are very real. You are not trying to glamorize. The introvert in you name was also a reason I started watching. I saw one person commenting about you being an introvert and she praised you for talking to someone. That comment was a bit ignorant, introversion is not something to try to change. Introverts usually think before they talk, and extroverts can sometimes be very obtuse in their rush to dominate every situation.
You don’t wipe before you potty! Extroverts need to try to listen sometimes. Ok end of rant. I appreciate you, stay safe and live your dreams.

I suggest you get a roll of silver mylar bubble wrap. You could put it under your white blanket or sleeping bag to reflect your body heat back to you. You can cut it to fit the window area for insulation. Stay cozy.

If you can get a blanket from Ikea called feather deca it does keep you warm. And I'm always cold so it does me good. Also, if anyone is in a trailer and is in a trailer park put hay bales around your camper you can get some from IFA. Then whatever spaces you have that are left from the hay bales you can use swimming noodles for insulation and it does good

Last year I found a Colman -30 sleeping bag and I to put a heavy fleece blanket on the inside and have a 2nd blanket that goes over top, and also good sheep skin sock (for bed only) And last winter was in North Dakota and it was -43° at night and I was cozy warm!! So yes we do find ways to stay nice and warm!!

Almost 3 years living in my van in the Northeast. My secret to sleeping warm on cold winter months is to run the van hot while driving, then climb into bed with warm clothes. Most important is multiple blankets, that helps a lot.

Greetings from Washington DC Sis. You can hang a blanket or curtain of some type across those back doors in your bathroom to the "outside" to cut down on that draft also. It's a pain, but keeping your main area warm in the cold weather is worth it. It's like being in a house with good modern windows and a good seal around all doors to keep heat inside. Wishing you the best.

Suggestions: unless you have double pane windows, tape 2 layers of bubble wrap on inside of windows for insulation.
    12 volt electric blanket.
You can sleep in your underwear and a beanie with this setup.
