    FINALLY! This is the one of the video I have been hunting for! Due to my financial circumstances I can't afford the costly price at my local zero waste refill stores unfortunately. I obviously want to do my part but it's hard so I've been searching through TH-cam on how to accomplish zero waste food shopping in the UK on a very tight budget and this video is a brilliant aid for that. Thank You ☺️

    Hi there! Thanks for the nice video! :) Just wanted to mention for the people that are not aware; you can actually eat the stalks of the broccoli too! Just peel off the hard outer skin and cut it into small pieces. Then you can treat it just like the flower heads themselves and you waste less of the vegetable. Love the recipes!

    • @blueollis
      @blueollis  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I always eat the stalks and heads (I wasn’t aware some people don’t). I’m not sure what you mean about the skin... I’ve never peeled a broccoli!

    I have noticed in Tesco that if u bye the non pre plastic wrap it just a little bit more cash wise, in London anyway.
    I shop in Aldi and find most fresh produce, a good quality.
    BTW that lasagna does look delicious and pretty easy. Thanks :)

    Did you use oil for the chickpea flour omelette or do you have a very good non stick pan? It looked so beautiful, but mine are always sticking to the pan and falling apart!

    • @blueollis
      @blueollis  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn’t use any oil. The trick is to let it cook for about 2 minutes on high heat without touching it. It’ll stick if you try to move it too quickly. Be patient and it’ll come right up.
