@@beedslolkuntus2070easy to get the bug-even the virtual bug it seems! I started out 30 years ago with a half-height oak Grandmother long-case. The chime bars are very long (especially compared to a mantel clock) and it is so sweet :-) My most recent addition is a 7 foot oak Kienzle Grandfather of the mid ‘20s. It’s majestic chimes can be heard nearly two houses away if windows are open :-)
I have recently bought a Victorian built house, which needed a lot of renovation work, As much as I like modern items and styling, I have kept the house true to its style, I bought the same clock as you have from a antiques auction, however it needed servicing, as it was not keeping time, but now its working as it should be its in my hall way, and it sounds lovely the deep westminster chime fills the house and when the fire's are lit in the lounge and dining room it is so relaxing it makes up for when there is nothing on the television and just reading,
I have a DUFA westminster wall clock and it sounds very much the same a very deep chime I love it, it was my grandmothers i'm 52 years old and own a Victorian house, My Clock is in my morning room (a morning room is the room where the sun rises) and my lounge and dining room is in the west where the sun sets!!
What a beautiful chime. I wonder how Dufa manage to get the chimes so deeply tuned and melodic, are the chime rods longer than in a standard long case clock with these?
Hello every one, can someone help to recommend couple of wall clock (Seiko, Howard,..... battery operated) which have closest Chimes sound like this clock. Many Thanks !
The problem is that the battery powered chimes do not sound this nice. They try to reproduce the sound of great mechanical clocks like this. Talk to a clock dealer about getting a small old and restored mantle clock with Westminster chimes and then you will be in business.
Also, There are some cheap 31 day clocks on FB marketplace as well. Not as good as this, but atleast it’s mechanical and you don’t have to wind it every week.
Kinda creepy. My bro back in the 80s use to go to my grandmothers house. She had one of these....SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF HIM! Brings it up till this day. He was 7

Clocks with deep chimes have so much more character. I keep this video in Favorites just to listen to this beautiful clock from time to time.
Glad I'm not the only one to do this to some of sodaclublad's videos.

I have over 300 clocks in my playlists! All because of one clock back in 2011's. Nostalgia!
The Ridgeway 322 in my bedroom (lovely beast) is awesome, but sounds like a child’s toy compared to this.

I love the decay on this one. The chimes are gorgeous.
Yes, those rods sustain forever!

Fabulous. Is it still going?
I absolutely love the sound of this clock's chimes. I'd love to buy one just like it, but the Dufa's seem very rare
This is what the Westminster chime is, All through this hour

that by thy power
no foot shall slide

hi there i love your grandfather clock and all my friends love it to
What a beautiful chime. I wonder how Dufa manage to get the chimes so deeply tuned and melodic, are the chime rods longer than in a standard long case clock with these?
That and the chime rods are a larger diameter, so length plus thickness...
Beautiful clock & chime
It’s perfect, it’s not obnoxiously loud like some of these clocks are, but it’s loud enough to be heard.
I love how the chimes have that detune effect you find on pianos
beautiful sound!
Very nice clock. I love it!!
This sound is AMAZING!!!!!!
Love these things but, never owned one.😔😔😔
DaVontae Wray I got you one elizabeth tower
DaVontae Wray I feel ya. 7:00AM. Damn, time to go to work.

DaVontae Wray I don't have one either
I will hopefully have a grandfather clock some day
Such beautiful chimes
Brilliant to see and to hear! Most impressive... Can you make an educated decision as to approximate year of production?
just gorgeous!
Great sounding clock!
You should make another video of Whittington chime and st. Michael's chime
This is strictly a Westminster chime movement. There were no triple chime movements back then.
Imagine wake up at night and hear this after you played Fnaf.
With your headphones on, you can hear the hour gong better.
It's very scary when it chimes in the midnight
THAT grandfather clock is very tall and very low
Yes. But I don't like this deep sound.
It makes me scary.
This is beautiful. Why'd you sell it?
Beautiful
Lovely deep sound
Before fnaf, this was a better time.
And stranger things
thank you
Nice! Does it play MP3? Sorry :)
Sounds like deagan tower tubular bells

My neighbor has one. More terrifying in real life.
I have 2, what is so terrifying about the,?
@@MovingOlives3437 It is really pretty irl, but terrifying outside the house because it is so low pitched the sound just carries
@@tpmartin210 yeah, mine goes off at night and it is a little intimidating, good thing they have silent mode!
I like this clock
What about the hour mechanism?
What about it? It should run the count after Westminster is finished playing.

@sodaclublad Why did you sell it?
strike, time and chime trains
Yes and when something goes wrong a very expensive bill from your horologist.
