How is everyone doing/stuggling in Tekken 8 so far? 😅

I got 13 characters down now so I think I'm gonna chill out and get some ranks in. I'll probably stop at yellow since I've never really cared about it.
I'm so proud of you and your Lee! Puts a smile on my face!🥹

13 charactes is sooo impressive. I'm messing with Nina and I realized her and Lee have a similar combo style which got me happy because I would struggle so much more if I didn't learn Lee first. Also they have a cute relationship in the game. So I'm here for it!

I love hearing new players perspectives on their own experiences playing Tekken it’s so refreshing and comparing it to my own experiences long ago . I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far. Whenever you feel demoralized always remember Tekken is about enjoying the journey not the destination 😎👍🏾

Yea I definitely appreciate this one because them lose streaks creep up on you quick LOL. How are you like this one compare to previous titles?

I’m sorry but tekken is and always will be the goat of fighting games . No disrespect to any other fighters but the depth of this game is unparalleled and although I’m mediocre i love the game for what it is . A masterclass in fundamentals, flashy combos amazing graphics and crazy lore tekken has always held a dear place in my heart . I’m a asuka main (yeah i’m a scrub) but i have reached purple ranks with the fundamentals and knowledge from previous titles but unfortunately this is my wall as everyone else that has played other titles know my shenanigans haha so kinda wish i picked up aa new character but i’m a loyalist .

Asuka defensive style is pretty dope. I messed with her a bit but I realized I kept just trying to parry to much LOL but I can see why you love her. I might have to revisit. How are you enjoying this one compared to previous ones? Since my last one was Tekken 2. This is one of the smoothest and beautiful to look at fighters I've played

I’ve played a few fighting games before like Smash Bros and games of that ilk as well as UFC and Mortal Kombat at friends houses, but Tekken 8 I feel like is my truly first fighting game. I looked up who was easy to play for beginners and since then have been playing Law which I just recently hit combatant with which I already felt pretty accomplished about. I was making a lot of the mistakes you were bringing up but after watching this you’ve completely changed my perspective on the game and learning Tekken. I would usually get pretty frustrated with losing even though all I did for the first day or two was practice combos thinking that was the way to get good, but I never found opportunities to hit those combos online. The last few games I played I focused a lot more on just getting off the attacks I know I can do as well as some basic combos with different ways of getting them into the air, and found myself getting a few perfects. Next time I play I’ll go into ranked purely with the mentality of learning and see how far I can go!

This message warms my heart because I'm glad to know at least something I said was able to connect with someone else. You got this, and let me know how it goes! I'm with you, I've played Street fighter. Soul calibur. Guilty gear, but man Tekken really test all the skills lol. It can be intense sometimes

YEEEEAH! Finally got some tekken 8 content.
Yes, fundamentals in tekken 8 is the most important aspect of the game. Pokes, lows and simple set ups will be the back bone of your offense and defense.
Frame data can be simplified by just learning your own character's punishers. No need to fully memorize every frame. If they do super, launch them. If they do a big wind up move kick them. Keep it simple and compact.
As far as the replay goes things you did well:
    Good punishment
    Good pokes
    Decent patience.
    Things to fix :
    Less button pushing
Less usage of big wind up moves
Use the move "down forward 1" it's a corner stone of most characters. It's a fast 13 frame mid that is safe on block and has strings.
Used the dick jab (down 1) more.
Love to see the improvements! Keep on going!

I feel like we all go through that "if I'm not pushing buttons I'm losing" when we first start so we push in every string thrown at us lol. Ima make you proud! Thank you for adding more tips!
