You should do a boss battle type system for videos for example you beat 10 online players and then you have to fight a boss in this case another TH-camr like doto or lotus and then you continue going up
Loving this series, seeing Afro fall in love with tekken has been an awesome ride. Game wise, all afro needs to learn is better movement (simple dashing and side step) and a staple combo out of drag's common launcher moves.

I was a fighter irl so the kbd and movement doesn't bother me as much. I've notice a LOT of people who do a lot of moving but nothing with it. I can stand still sometimes and just punish or stop their charge with well timed kicks n shit

Ki charge is when you hit all 4 buttons at once. Usually happens when you mash the pad on controller. Just be more careful when doing input. But major improvements! Time to get them combos 🔥🔥
@@ravenouskai_4315 it basically means your next hit is a guaranteed counter hit and that you can’t block. So be very careful about ki charging. Most players do it at the end of the round to say that “they’re better” or to be toxic.
Dude's improving drastically, I had forgotten how my inputs were all messed up when I started playing tekken 😂. Once his inputs become clean, and when he'll learn more matchups and frames, he's gonna have fun playing tekken. Now its fun only when he's winning. Can't wait for the next video

Afro!!! All you need to learn now is movement and timing (parrying in a sense). Get used to back stepping and side stepping to dodge instead of blocking. It helps in closing the gap too when your attacks width. Get that down and you're good. KEEP GOING!

Dang a lot of y'all really had no faith that Afro was gonna get better. He was brand new to the game and y'all act like he was suppose to get good over night.
Bind your RT to 1+2 and your LT to 3+4. I struggle with learning combos as well but this helps a lot. Still do your neutral game with jabs and lows but you'll be able to throw some heavy punishers in there with stuff like Right - RT or half circle - LT. I play with Victor and that makes stringing moves together for (beginner combos) but it helps you learn their moves for combos. Also play vs or an offline game mode where you can put the difficulty to ultra hard. Now that you've got the fundamentals ultra hard is good sparring for training to learn your moves and combos in a combat setting without losing rank. Or just set the training dummy to CPU and ultra difficulty to play around. Anyway from one Tekken newbie to another good luck my friend 👍🏼

Man, what an arc this is. Love it. Also, Ki charge is 1+2+3+4. You might be rolling your thumb across all the buttons or pressing a bunch of presets you might have at the same time. You're also probably holding the controller wrong XD I mean, it's obviously working for you, but you might wanna give what's called "crab claw" a shot. It's where your index and middle fingers are above the face buttons and you use them to hit said buttons. I've been playing like that for as long as I can remember and Lil Majin also plays like that. Really helps in this game. I'm playin btw, you can obviously do whatever is workin for you. There really isn't a "right way" or "right controller" to play Tekken. As long as you're kickin ass, you're doin it right.

Fighting the CPU in local versus or doing an arcade mode run can be good for practicing combos. It's not the same as fighting a real person, but practicing on a moving target is still beneficial.

Take a look at the sample combos in training. You have the basics down like blocking, counters and lows which is your bread and butter, but an actual full combo is the meat of the sandwich. As long as you learn 1 and are able to do it consistently in actual matches you'll do better.
Something i do to help learn to do my combos is play against a Very Hard or even Ultra Hard CPU. There's no pressure and no downside to losing but still get good experience.

The key to landing combos in battle is to launch your opponents with intentions of doing the combo. It’s better said than done. Try thinking about doing the combo before even launching them
Drags feint only comes out of his ff+2, if you get a iWR (i.e. fff+2) or end up running like 2/3 steps or something it becomes the fff+2 and you cant feint. You gotta run up a little. stop, then do ff+2 if you want to feint. The fff+2 is honestly insane tho so take those everyday.
Good shit! Try setting up a bot with blocking set to "shuffle" or "random" or whatever it was. Then you can keep hitting it with your combo starters randomly, and try to do your combo when it doesn't block your combo starters. Of course, in real games, people don't get hit by everything. When they do, it might take you a while to think of how to continue the start of your combo. If you can pull off the start though, I'm sure the rest which you labbed will follow!

Take a look at the sample combos in training. You have the basics down like blocking, counters and lows which is your bread and butter, but an actual full combo is the meat of the sandwich. As long as you learn 1 and are able to do it consistently in actual matches you'll do better.

Something i do to help learn to do my combos is play against a Very Hard or even Ultra Hard CPU. There's no pressure and no downside to losing but still get good experience.

The key to landing combos in battle is to launch your opponents with intentions of doing the combo. It’s better said than done. Try thinking about doing the combo before even launching them

Drags feint only comes out of his ff+2, if you get a iWR (i.e. fff+2) or end up running like 2/3 steps or something it becomes the fff+2 and you cant feint. You gotta run up a little. stop, then do ff+2 if you want to feint. The fff+2 is honestly insane tho so take those everyday.

Good shit! Try setting up a bot with blocking set to "shuffle" or "random" or whatever it was. Then you can keep hitting it with your combo starters randomly, and try to do your combo when it doesn't block your combo starters. Of course, in real games, people don't get hit by everything. When they do, it might take you a while to think of how to continue the start of your combo. If you can pull off the start though, I'm sure the rest which you labbed will follow!
