The moment he took off his glasses hit me hard. I have a lot of friends with that exact same tick. Growing up non-neurotypical, struggling with ticks and stimming behaviours, I've experienced first hand that most People really don't see the struggle. I think it was very brave of him to show something so vulnerable, but I don't think many People really understood the gravity.
For the people who wonder why he took of his glasses; Tix explained in a norwegian interview that since he has Tourettes and are far from the only one with it, he decided to take of his glasses rendering him completely unable to see and to control his facial muscles and vocals to show his biggest weakness in front of everyone. He did not care about the score as long as the message got out. TIX is a wonderful guy, and even though I am sad this song did not get a higher score, I am so proud of my fellow norwegian to pull this off and delivering such an incredible song and strong message. Remember, you are not alone

He is the most genuine participant this contest ever has had. A true role model for all of us, irrespective of age, experience, location. I have never been in more awe with someone outside my family, friends and community than I have with TIX. What a truly incredible artist and more important individual. Norway is truly lucky to have him and we are all lucky to have experienced a greater ESC because of his participation and message. It’s also a nice song of course.
I think many people didn't understand the meaning. I liked the song but not more than others in the competitive field this year, but when I got to know the meaning, this became my personal favourite
Quite easy to understand, he looks a mess, his lyrics are a mess, so is his voice a little, song is slow, no real progression, stays pretty one note even in the climax, not to mention in English, so he's competing with at least 3 other "power ballads", the only nice thing he had is the staging, which doesn't give him much. It's more to do with his staging. He even stated that had he played simply with his piano and sang then he would have scored much higher in the jury vote, as they don't like over the top performances. He went with this regardless because he felt it explained his story better. I love him regardless :-)
Jury downvoted a lot because the song is too easy and generic. Keiino had the same problem with spirit in the sky and therefore created Monument with the high note to target jury as well. Norway did the same mistake twice.
When he took his glasses off, it really was one of the Bravest things I have ever seen. The song, the staging , the meaning , it was all incredible and i don’t care about the scores cuz this won in our eyes - Australia 🇦🇺

The guy's made about 10 documentaries from his appearance on EV alone about it, a song in which of a genre he's never touched before, and is literally calling himself an angel. So his biggest problem isn't that he has tourrets, but that the bullying and pain he received as a kid/teen because of it has landed him something even more depressing; it's made him a narcissist. Very dangerous. Bit of a shame.
I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of this song, but the more I listen to it the more I love it. The message behind it is so powerful and do important. And also Tix seems like the kindest and the purest human ever.

In the end, the votes are just numbers. Andreas, aka TIX, has already won thousands of hearts all across Europe. The scoreboard means nothing compared to the joy and hope he's giving us. I think I speak on behalf of a lot of Norwegians when I say we're incredibly proud of him and we couldn't have asked for a better person to represent our country in ESC this year ❤️

I honestly don’t care about the placement. By my personal taste TIX would have deserved a higher place but what matters the most is his story and his message that he blessed us with. Eurovision is a very unique experience for the artists, and after all, the winner is the one who has most fun. TIX had a really great time, and he was supportive and loving to every contestant :)
the story doesn't matter in a song contest, very few people actually pay attention to lyrics and I don't think an artist should win only due to having a sad back story
My friend and I wanted this to win... it legitimately made me cry (no other song last night managed that) and I loved the message behind it. Also, mad respect for being accepting of your own "shortcomings" - I myself am on the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum and can therefore very much relate to having it harder than the average person might have it in life. Much love and respect from Germany, you may not have won the title, but you won my heart for sure.
I think many who are like him can understand him very well. Too much we are seen as weak. Among us are people who do not show their talent because they are afraid of being laughed at. Even these personalities had neurological impairments. I've seen neurodivergent people from all over the world expressing a similar sentiment-including myself (I have ADHD and was bullied for it at school for many years). It's absolutely beautiful seeing people come together to celebrate Andreas' beautiful performance and what it means to us.

When Tix was with his glasses, he’s always so energetic, bright, and happy. I knew him first because of videos of him reacting to pretty much every single performance in Eurovision (he was such a mood haha) But when he took off his glasses in this performance, I suddenly felt that I saw a part of him that was sad / maybe even fragile. Yet he was such strong person, for he has fought to embrace the entirety of himself and was in fact telling the world that no one is alone in one’s own imperfections through the song. The song might not have won a lot of votes overall. But I’ve certainly gained a lot of strengths from the message he was trying to convey. Thank you, Tix. You’re not a fallen angel. In the end, the votes are just numbers. Andreas, aka TIX, has already won thousands of hearts all across Europe. The scoreboard means nothing compared to the joy and hope he's giving us. I think I speak on behalf of a lot of Norwegians when I say we're incredibly proud of him and we couldn't have asked for a better person to represent our country in ESC this year ❤️

I honestly don’t care about the placement. By my personal taste TIX would have deserved a higher place but what matters the most is his story and his message that he blessed us with. Eurovision is a very unique experience for the artists, and after all, the winner is the one who has most fun. TIX had a really great time, and he was supportive and loving to every contestant :)

My friend and I wanted this to win... it legitimately made me cry (no other song last night managed that) and I loved the message behind it. Also, mad respect for being accepting of your own "shortcomings" - I myself am on the high-functioning end of the autism spectrum and can therefore very much relate to having it harder than the average person might have it in life. Much love and respect from Germany, you may not have won the title, but you won my heart for sure.

I've seen neurodivergent people from all over the world expressing a similar sentiment-including myself (I have ADHD and was bullied for it at school for many years). It's absolutely beautiful seeing people come together to celebrate Andreas' beautiful performance and what it means to us.

When Tix was with his glasses, he’s always so energetic, bright, and happy. I knew him first because of videos of him reacting to pretty much every single performance in Eurovision (he was such a mood haha) But when he took off his glasses in this performance, I suddenly felt that I saw a part of him that was sad / maybe even fragile.
Yet he was such strong person, for he has fought to embrace the entirety of himself and was in fact telling the world that no one is alone in one’s own imperfections through the song.
The song might not have won a lot of votes overall. But I’ve certainly gained a lot of strengths from the message he was trying to convey.

I’m so happy Italy won, they deserved it and they’re (in my opinion) one of the best winners ever in Eurovision. However, I voted for TIX. As soon as he started to sing, I fell for this guy. A true talent with the purest of hearts. I noticed him multiple times throughout the contest, cheering for each contestant like they had all just won. We should all try to be as supportive and loving as this guy, he’s a true role model that is much needed in this world.
