I totally agree. It is why Citizen Kane was probably Welles’ finest film. It wasn’t just his extraordinary vision and how he instructed his collaborators as to how the scenes should look and play out, but also the incredible lighting and depth of field from the one and only Gregg Tolland. The combination of magical cinematography, amazing method acting and Morricone’s masterful pieces of music make this movie stand out as probably the greatest ever in the gangster genre
This movie relly gives us an idea and a feeling of the late 19th and early 20th century which I can not explain !
It's simply a masterpiece which can only be praised and cant be denied !
Unforgettable scene is De Niro's smile with blank eyes when he is in the opium shop.
Very beautiful!
I love these becuae sometimes you just want to feel the feeling of a film without having to watch it all over again.
Like this film. Jesus, it's nearly 4 hours!
Thank you.
This movie when finished was 10 hours long and then cut to the theater version of a little over 2 hours which ruined it.
The critics panned it as it was made so that it really had no story.
It should be brought back as the 10 hour series.
Reedited to its full length.
It is so good that it could still stand on its own and become one of the best series EVER.
I think all the stars are still alive.
Sergio Leone the greatest director of all time love all of his films a genius. Sadly I didn't appreciate some of them until later in life
The very fav emotional film 🖤🖤
Great video! Will watch it again when I'm drunk!
Why??? 😂😂😂
@@TheBeautyOf Because this is one of those films that hit close to home and one of my personal favorites! Drunkness allows me to drown myself in its beauty even more!
Beside the cinematography and the whole of story, i would like to say this is the beautiful music that I've ever heard in my life , rip ennio morricone 🙏
The soundtrack alone.. beautiful...
I love The Godfather, Coppola is such a brilliant Director. Once Upon A Time In America took me somewhere else though that I will never come back from. I am eternally great full to have this film in my life.
Selon moi le plus grand chef d’œuvre de l’histoire du cinéma, musique, acteurs, scénarios, décors, rebondissements et j’en passe...
Tout y est !
Ce film est Magique et il est unique. Royale !
one of the greatest. ever.
It’s really very special and very beautiful ! 👍🏼😍🏆
Sergio Leone always has the best visuals I’ve ever seen. Morricone’s music was always most perfect when he worked with Leone. The best duo to ever grace cinema and WAY ahead of their time; the visuals and music coupled together r better than anything that was released prior to or since each of their movies
This movie my one of the most loved movie. These scenes, hard me to think. Probably i wont't watch a good movie like it during my life, until end of my life.
The beauty and uniqueness of Leone
Is that he always wanted the actor to express the human insight of the character
And this is totally different from acting
Example is the way Bronson and Fonda played the role in the most iconic western of all times”once upon a time in the west”
The best movie ... like THE GODFATHER !👏👏👏👏
