I've owned my Yellow 8R since March. When I first got it, I found it to be a very nice all-around sporty machine. Lots of comfort and fun. 300 mile days are not a problem. After a handful of track days since, and several functional mods later. Its no longer the same, as it is bumped more towards s[ort and track riding. Clip-ons are not straight forward to add to this bike. Woodcraft is currently working on a design that we won't have to modify the steering stops to keep them from hitting bodywork. Current available clip-ons require steering stops that reduce how much the steering movement. I could go on a lot about this machine, but I'll spare y'all from enduring that. Thanks for the video review!
Wow! Glad you are making the most out of the 8R! It is an awesome machine! Thanks for the heads up on the clip ons! Thanks for watching I will be checking for your vids too! 😎 stay safe ✌🏽
I test rode one a few months back at a Suzuki demo day. I was impressed. Very comfortable, with a slight lean, power was super smooth and surprisingly very good power. Didn’t buy one (yet) but I don’t think you’d regret it unless you’re looking for a hyper sports bike with obviously less comfort.
I've got this bike in blue and I totally love it 💙 Just for your info, the modes a,b,c do not change the amount of power, it only regulate the throttle response. You can actually find graphs online showing how much every mode affects the throttle response. I actually just mode A almost 100% of the times because I'm lazy and I don't want to twist my hand very much 😂 Enjoy this wonderful machine. Cheers
Nice. So these bikes are more upright and comfortable than the Ninjas? I guess I have to have an open mind on Suzuki after the big 3. This rabbit hole is deep. So many bikes.
Yes definitely a rabbit hole lol! I would say the Ninja 650 and the GSX 8 R are close in comfort. The 8R ergonomics are almost equivalent to a naked bike.. If you’re considering these two, I would definitely swing a leg over both at a dealership! TheNinja ZX6 and ZX10 are going to have a committed sport bike riding position! Thanks for watching !!
675ss will probably keep up pretty well especially mid to higher rpm range. The R9 is just a beast and is going to blow most things in the "middleweight" category away. I will be transparent, i am buying the 675SS. I own a CFmoto CLX 700 Sport and absolutely love it. I think it would be a better comparison to the GSX8R.
R9s a different class really. 3k$ more, makes 40 more HP, way more aggressive ergonomics, fully loaded electronically, etc. This is a closer competitor to the r7
I definitely get it! The 8R is not for everybody. Especially if you want something with a bit more edge! My RS660 is more engaging! Congrats on the ZX6!!
Best sports bike of all time is 100% the r6 with the 636 as a close second. Gxsr 750 in third place. Killer bike but just not as popular as the other two.
Thanks for the comment! It’s always great to hear people’s favorite bikes! I can’t wait to check out the R9! R6 is definitely top tier sportbike! I gotta try a GXSR750 Thanks for watching!😎
Thanks for watching! No comparison to the GSX R 600 or 750. Different segments 8R is a street sport vs GSXR 600 and 750 being Super Sport bikes. The inline 4 in the 750 makes about 50 more HP than the 8R parallel twin! 😎

seems great, will ride one may add it as a 3rd bike. CFMoto 675 has my attention, but seems like US politicians may ruin it, hope not
I also really like the cfm 675 sr. Im australia so hopefully they give us a good price.
Happy I got the GSX-S750
How closely do you think this bike compares to the fun/excitement factor of the rs660?
Great question! I’m going to do a full video on the comparison! RS660 is a totally different animal!
@Motahead7930 looking forward to it 🤙
@@gabrieltiso8537 Awesome thanks for checking out the vid!! 😎

@@Motahead7930 Thanks for replying. I like the fairings as looks and protection. I definitely need to start small. I saw you started on a scooter.
Nice video but music was very annoying!!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback!
@Motahead7930 no worries. Other than the music, very informative and balanced.
@@Motahead7930 I for one loved the music, to each their own!
I’m waiting to see how the r9 and 675ss compares to this
Totally Agree! R9 is going to be ridiculous!
675SS is packed with value!

Ya the r9 looks rowdy but my sensible side is saying wait for the tiger sport 800
@jerryx2000 Thanks for watching!!! Yeah I find the throttle jerky in mode A from a stop. GoPro 13 and iPhone 😂
Thanks for checking out the video!!

A GSXR 750 WOULD murder it
