I know your viewers like GW stuff, but I learned so much from your videos where you tackled SW Legion Models. I would love to see some more videos on ships and vehicles. They are very intimidating for me, but I love how you break them down using your techniques!
We do need to make a tanky return, whether GW or non, the SWL stuff hugely impressed me... I've not touched any other plastics on level with GW, which they definitely are, they're also extremely well designed for easy assembly and painting in sub assemblies, which is utter gold as far as I'm concerned!
I'm really enjoying your focus on getting models painted up quick and easy. Not all of us have much time to spend painting up models, but I know I'd love to be able to have some beautiful models on the table in as small a time as possible. Perhaps a video on getting one of the new Broken Realms boxes or one of the Combat Patrol boxes painted up in just a few hours?
Fantastic tutorial, I really enjoyed the video. Coming back to miniature painting after a break of over 25 years I really appreciate the demonstration of techniques. Dry brushing is something that I see I need to reconsider so much more as it was great to see the versatility with which you used it. As someone who also really enjoys painting metallics, and particularly the move between weathered and clean edges I would love to see you paint the Ghazghkull Thraka model.
I am playing around with a Gundam and Grot diorama at the moment and I picked up some ak interactive grimes to play with the weathering it is so much fun
I have really been enjoying the work you put into these videos - very well done start to finish. It would be cool seeing drybrushing with metallics - something like necrons etc
That was superb. And you hit on many of my problems. Getting half way through and wanting it to be over. Spending too much time on details. But you should be well proud of that one. Great vid.
Another stellar video! I'd love to see a video on power swords effects, or more notably, FROST weapon effects! I'd also absolutely love to see some new different text your pallet designs and styles available to purchase! Thanks for everything you do as always!
Great video and love how you go through the steps then also point out what yiu'd change or do different, nice to see we all are still learning. Really love to see something on varied skin tones, from pale to olive to tanned, to dark and then otherworldly and how you can find colors and washes to pull them off. Thanks for all your effort and such amazing content as always, can't wait to do my mega and 4 bloodthirsters with the series D I got for Xmas. :)
Thanks so much for your kind words, dude! Believe me, I still make plenty of mistakes, we only share the ones that are educational😅I am extremely inexperienced with skin tones in general, unfortunately, and the majority of my experience is painting pale elves. I need a bit more practice before I am at a stage where I can teach others😊
Dang, minute that Gargant hit the screen in the opening my jaw dropped at that effect!!!!!!!!! Outstanding tutorial. Been a subscriber for a while following and know you mainly paint GW but have recently gotten into Malifaux and Archanist Colette and her performers. Would love to see you're take on painting sheer black or white fabric because I am intimidated to start those stockings.
Oh man, that is intimidating! 😅They're very cool models, but more fiddly than what I tend to pick. I'll need a fair bit more practice before I can approach something like that. It's a great suggestion though, thank you very much😊
Great work.. As somebody who is new to the hobby, selecting an army and working out the quickest way to paint it (To a desirable standard) is very important.. I would love to see a 1000/2000 point project in either AOS or 40k, done using your drybrush system. The time breakdown you use use would be super beneficial and would go someway to helping me and other new hobbyists work out how to take on such daunting projects..
Hey dude, did you check out our Starting an Army video? There's a little surprise for you at the end! Hope you've already contacted our customer support, if not - make sure you do so. Thanks for the awesome comment and your ongoing support! Hope you're well! ❤
Awesome video. I paint lots of Tyrands at the moment and this flesh would work well for them so I am going to give it a try tonight. Keep up the good work.
Great tutorial. It was fun to see you tackle a large model, and your development of the process. I would love to see you approach an diorama in a similar manner. It would be a bit of a ride, but maybe it could be broken up between 2 episodes. Cheers and Thank you!
Awesome result as always dude!! 👍🏼 big congratulations on hitting 20K! Here’s to the next 20K! 🍻 Any advice for tackling Guilliman? Currently assembling him and the fear is definitely real! 😂
Yey, your support is hugely appreciated, mate 🙌🍻 Lots of time and patience! Try to work with colours that you know have good coverage and are easy to use should make your life a lot easier and more enjoyable. Good luck!
I think it would be awesome if you could do a video, on how to paint a large model with big flattish areas of metalics for example something like a necron monilth.
My pleasure dude! You'll get a big one in bits very shortly, but I've been thinking about how a 24hour challenge or something would work, so you may get both, shortly!
I'd love to see a you do translucent cloth like in a wet shirt or something. I'd also like to get a quickie primer on color choices as you pick great color schemes when you paint. The other thing is style weathering like chips and cuts in armor or rust. Thx for the channel.
Thanks very much dude - 'How to Pick Colours' is definitely on the agenda, its a great suggestion, and not something that I would have thought of myself!
Thank you Paul! I actually started on this once. The moving parts everywhere scared me so much, it went straight back in the box and never came out again 😅
@@ArtisOpus that’s great news! This channel is one of the best go to channels out there. I know quite a few guys who come here for tips and techniques. I can’t wait to see your take on this subject.
I'm really liking your videos. I'm leaning more with everyone. Your dry brushing techniques are very interesting, I would like to learn more on that. I use dry brushing on my Battletech Mechs a lot, to save time, I would like to see you paint one of those. I own both your series S and D, and I love them both. I would like to get the larger S ones eventually.
This is fantastic. Really thinking about using this skin recipe for a couple demons I've got from Mierce miniatures. Great work! Would be interesting to see how you tackle some vehicle weathering techniques. Not rust because you've done rust, but burnished metals, engine oil, grease deposits etc
Thanks Byron, really enjoyed that. Spotted the Revell plastic glue, I find it much better than GWs. Would love to see one of the larger Tau battlesuits at some stage.
Amazing to hear Julian 😊 I've got one built dude, he's just a very intimidating model especially for approaching with a video in mind. Contacter is my baby, I've used it for a decade and I think it's the best
Your videos are fantastic, they make a newer painter less scared to dive into the hobby. I love how your dry brushing/stipple seems smooth and simple. I'd love to see you do collaboration paintings with other artists where they paint in your style and you in their style! I think it would be super fun seeing you do a @Dana_Howl paint style
@@ArtisOpus Right?! I think she'd love doing your dry brush style and you her neon! Being so new to the hobby you both make all of this less intimidating and very open for all skills of the hobby life to enjoy this!
Another awesome tutorial, thanks. May not work with how you paint, but oil paints are all the rage currently. Would be interesting to see if the long drying time/wet blending potential would work with your style of stippling/smearing/drybrushing. I think it could create a fairly unique texture effect.
I love your videos, I've learned so much by watching your videos! I'm sharing your videos with all my painting friends! I would like you to make a video on painting swamp effects on a base or a video with more in-depth instructions on your dry brush techniques. Keep up the amazing work my brother!
@@ArtisOpus thanks! Would love to understand if you use masking tape or liquid mask or anything else. Or if it's the sequence in which you paint. Also how to dry brush in tight spots.
Really informative tutorial, I have always avoided models which are predominantly flesh. This has given me the confidence to give it a go. I’d love to see how you’d tackle more alien skin tones, greens/reds/blue.
Fantastic work and video. I try to do the bigger busts from 1/12 to 1/6 because I’m disabled and easier for me to see and hold but I’ve tried dry brushing with your brushes and I’m in love with them 👍🏻👨🏼🦽🇬🇧
Dude that's wonderful to hear, the spare head you get from this kit is actually pretty much a bust, it's a great piece. James from Siege Studios took mine to paint because he liked it so much :D. Drybrushing is wonderful, it works with the mini, not against it, really glad it's going well for you! Happy hobbying, my man!
@@ArtisOpus can I ask where you get your figures and busts from as I do find it hard to get decent ones cheap enough I normally have to go to eBay but found manufacturers but still high price. China ok but usual copy’s and in purple resin. Only get my disability but trying to keep busy
Great tutorial :) Even the suggestions for colours to use are hugely valuable and must have saved me a fair amount not having to buy different shades/hues myself to see what works. I'd like to see how you'd approach capes/cloaks that have a satin/slight specular quality to them with the D series (or however you'd normally approach it). Also - the start of the vocal melody on the tune used in your tutorials heavy reminds me of 1993's absolute BANGER 'The Key, The Secret' by Urban Cookie Collective. That tune gets stuck in my head a good few hours afterward...
Thanks so much dude! Great suggestion, I'll need to do some learning in order to be able to make it happen! You are now responsible for that not leaving my head, it is an absolute banger though!
Aliens, Xenos and gribblies. Always seeing some amazing blends and colour variations when people invent their own Hive Fleets. Palette colours of your choice with discussion of colour theory behind the choices for Hive Fleet Opus 😍😍😍
Another great tutorial! I've been loving the ProAcryl paints by Monument... easily my favorite new line out there. And I'd still love to see your take on some Eldar Waraithguard models... :)
I really love this channel - even without being a beginner - maybe even more as a intermediate painter. Very chilled, entertaining and something different with the series D drybrush ING techniques. My suggestion would be a large Alarielle on her "bug" with at least 80 % series D painting (also a bit of a challenge not to go overboard with traditional highlighting) tutorial/showcase. It's a model where you can go completely wild with vibrant Colours. Someday I'll buy her just for painting because of the rule of cool. Haven't done it by now cause I'm not into AoS yet...
This is a crazy, and fantastic suggestion... made all the more funny by the tecnicolor turquoise Alarielle I have started from a couple of years back in a cabinet :D
@@ArtisOpus soooooo... Here you go 😊 at its best within the competition of your other video so i would be able to win 😂 if I would win I would try to get my hands on alarielle as well and do the same... Well... My approach on it with first time series D 😂
Great video again - thanks! A custom Tyranid paint scheme would be great to see - preferably on a large model to see how you would tackle it with dry brushing
You're so welcome bud! I have a Harpy that needs stripping, luckily for me I just found my new favourite stripping models. We've neglected Tyranids for too long, they're definitely due some love😊❤
Super pleased to hear bud great suggestion! I actually really enjoyed painting this guy's face and it's easier to demonstrate on a larger model. It gave me some ideas on how to do it as a tutorial 😁
Very nice video for dry brushing skin. On a figure that large though, i'd like to see some speckling and liver spots or patterning on the skin, there is very little variation in skin tones across this lovely large figure.
This would look great! If I was going for something for a painting competition I would definitely consider it. Check out Angel Giraldez for some wonderful natural techniques for varied skin!
Great tutorial! Absolute beast of a model! My vote for your next full model would be a Crimson Fist SM, would be good to see how you tackle that deep navy blue! Technique wise, could you show us how you would do flags/banners? I always seem to struggle getting them to look realistic!
@@ArtisOpus Well, I know how much you love freehand from your Black Templar video! I think more just getting them looking realistic material wise, mine always come out looking kind of heavy handed!
Oh one more request, I would love to see a video just on cleaning up your figure when dry brushing. It's my biggest problem and reason I don't often use this technique. Thanks!
I love the techniques you are using in this video. I would love to see a video of how to battle lack of creativity or motivation to paint. Have had this lack for a very long time.
This is a great idea dude, I'll be covering how to keep momentum in my current Lockdown series a little, but will give this some thought for a future video!
Great video as always. I really have picked up so many tips from these videos. I would love to see a dark blue green sylvaneth tutorial that works well on large models like drycha and the tree lords but also works reasonably well on lots of dryads. I am thinking of applying the sort of scheme that you used on the Glowing Green GHOST WALL but with a deep blue green in the shadows rather than purple and a less smooth transition to the light colours but have been struggling to make it work. PS my partner agrees you look like Martin Freeman and she really enjoys your videos too.
I guess i am officially a hobbit then! Thanks for the kind words! Your scheme sounds solid dude, you'll end up looking kind of cool and deep-oceanic, it's a lovely theme! The end colour carries a lot, so if you don't add the yellows you'll stay more narrowly in the spectrum you've chosen, both ways is good though, and I do love ice yellow :)
I would really like to see some dry brushing on large vehicles. I just did an Ares Gunship for my Custodes, and I’m wondering if there was a better way to do it. Thanks for all you do!
Our pleasure, dude, thanks for the support! we've had a lot of requests for a return to larger minis. We will get round to this when we have time for a big one😊
recently started printing and painting mini's but having problems with flesh tones ( undead and vampires). would love to see tips and tricks. would like to see larger models not so much for gaming but for display.
I have one built! It'll probably be bloodthirsters first, but we will cover all greater demons! Probably another attempt at a speed job on each of them :D. Enjoy!
It continues to amaze me how good your drybrushing is, mine always look chalky, though that could be because I don't yet have any of those delicious brushes. Another great video, thanks
Dangerous question! Id love to see you tackle more large models, busts that kind of thing. And I think you would be awesome doing some colab speed painting challenges or individual challenges with folks like the guys at midwinter minis, Goobertown hobbies, Squidmar etc! Keep up the awesome vids though, you are absolutely a drybrush wizard!

Thanks so much buddy! I love the Ghazghkull Thraka model! He's such a big model though. I'd easily loose 5h to the weathering alone❤
Some are being assembled right no. As soon as they're finished and we have space in the schedule you'll get your wish 😊 Thank you for your support!
That was superb. And you hit on many of my problems. Getting half way through and wanting it to be over. Spending too much time on details. But you should be well proud of that one. Great vid.
Thanks Neil, really lovely to hear, that's exactly what I was going for!
Great colour choice. Love having an alternative to an airbrush.
Thanks, buddy! Have you tried it out yet?😊
@@ArtisOpus Used the brushes a lot on flesh, not this specific colour, this weekend will do.
Great tutorial. I recently started painting 75mm models. This will come in handy.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much🤩
Another stellar video! I'd love to see a video on power swords effects, or more notably, FROST weapon effects! I'd also absolutely love to see some new different text your pallet designs and styles available to purchase! Thanks for everything you do as always!
Watch this space on both accounts😉😉😉 Thanks so much for your kind words and great suggestions😊
@@ArtisOpus which space?
And you're more than welcome, as always man!
Love watching these paint jobs, just need those dry brushes to show up, so looking forward to using them.
They should be with you super soon dude, C19 has slowed logistics down a little, but you should have them shortly :)
No worries I completely understand. The S series are super nice! Just started using those and I am extremely happy!
Oh fantastic, glad to hear it bud, they really are magic, got a favourite size? Everyone develops one :). 00/3/5 is my few favs, currently :D
I like the 1,00, I need to order a 3 ,and 5 soon.
YES, finally flesh! I'd love to see hair/fur, black templars, iron warriors, orks, keep up the good work!
Other skin tones would be great too! Also, an instagram to be able to look at the finished models might be great!
It's coming soon dude! And I'm going to be embarking on a hairy army project, too :)
This is a fantastic suggestion, if you don't see it in the next couple of weeks please give me a slap on the wrist!
Love to See a Lord of change painted up by you!
Im impressed how good drybrushing works with those brushs 😱
we'll be getting round all of the greater daemons very soon. It will probably be Khorne first though😊 Thanks so much for the support!
Loving the work! Wanting to try my hand at some commission work in the future and these tutorials are so good for time management. Keep them coming!
Thanks so much Chris!
@@ArtisOpus literally just come home to a fantastic surprise... thank you very much 👍🏼
Awesome video. I paint lots of Tyrands at the moment and this flesh would work well for them so I am going to give it a try tonight. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much, Matthew
Great tutorial. It was fun to see you tackle a large model, and your development of the process. I would love to see you approach an diorama in a similar manner. It would be a bit of a ride, but maybe it could be broken up between 2 episodes. Cheers and Thank you!
Thanks so much dude! This is a great idea, I just need to work out a format to keep it interesting if it isn't fitted into one video😊
Loved the video! I can’t wait to try it on my Mega Gargant!
Dude, you will have so much fun!
How about a video about Custodes power armour colour schemes, and their tanks?
An intimidating one, but a good one! Thanks very much 🤩
Love to see how you’d tackle a large tyranid model , great tutorial 🤟🏻👍
I don’t collect them, but want to get the Trygon just for the painting challenge. Would be great to see that covered here!
I may have a painted Harpy sitting behind me... If only I had recently discovered a fantastic way to strip minis 😉
Everyone keeps asking for Nids.
@Maximina Sciancalepore Awesome! Two 1 month accounts that endorsing a bullshit website!!
Awesome result as always dude!! 👍🏼 big congratulations on hitting 20K! Here’s to the next 20K! 🍻
Any advice for tackling Guilliman? Currently assembling him and the fear is definitely real! 😂
Yey, your support is hugely appreciated, mate 🙌🍻 Lots of time and patience! Try to work with colours that you know have good coverage and are easy to use should make your life a lot easier and more enjoyable. Good luck!
@@ArtisOpus thank you! Keep up the awesome work, stay safe and have fun! 👍🏼
I think it would be awesome if you could do a video, on how to paint a large model with big flattish areas of metalics for example something like a necron monilth.
I have some Necrons being built right now. The moment assembly and the schedule allow you'll get your wish 😁
@@ArtisOpus that is fantastic 🙂, I can't wait
It would be great to see you tackle a small army and thank you for all the awesome guides and tutorials you publish, some great inspiration 8)
My pleasure dude! You'll get a big one in bits very shortly, but I've been thinking about how a 24hour challenge or something would work, so you may get both, shortly!
Congratulations on a huge milestone, its definitely well deserved. I would still like to see spectral osl nighthaunt haha
Much appreciated dude! I'd love to paint that, where would the OSL be coming then from? Them or somewhere else? 😊
@@ArtisOpus gonna sound nuts but sort of from within them if that makes sense haha
Great tutorial. Thanks
You're so welcome! Thanks for the support
The dry brush master strikes again!
🧙♂️😊
Love the OSL!
^_^ Thanks very much, the green was particularly easy, I just painted it like it was a ghost 😊
Great video! Would really like to see how you would approach Gunpla
Thank you Paul! I actually started on this once. The moving parts everywhere scared me so much, it went straight back in the box and never came out again 😅
Got my Series D brushes today, so will be fun to give them a try.
Im going to use this technique on my large Dire Bat. I love the Series D XL
Thanks, dude! We love it too🤩
I’d love to see you tackle object source lighting.
Congratulations on your success!
Thanks so much dude! I'll definitely give this some time some point in the future, it's such a useful skill for armies and big miniatures :)
@@ArtisOpus that’s great news! This channel is one of the best go to channels out there. I know quite a few guys who come here for tips and techniques. I can’t wait to see your take on this subject.
@@JimCArt Amazing to hear buddy! Makes me so pleased to read comments like yours, truly inspirational 🤩❤
Thanks so much for your kind words!
Thanks again for the Element Games link .. the white is in me cart now !! :)
Amazing dude 🤩 Glad to be of service!
Interesting tutorial, thanks so much!
You're so welcome, mate! Thank you for your support!
Love your stuff! Maybe a video about how to paint vehicles without airbrush as swift as possible, and some simple weathering?
Thank you Marko! We did a lot of these when we started the channel, but are due a return some point soon 😊
@@ArtisOpus i am sorry, seems i need to check the channel backlog. Thank you for your reply!
@@markobranisel4094 No worries dude😊 Stay safe!
This is fantastic. Really thinking about using this skin recipe for a couple demons I've got from Mierce miniatures. Great work! Would be interesting to see how you tackle some vehicle weathering techniques. Not rust because you've done rust, but burnished metals, engine oil, grease deposits etc
Amazing to hear buddy!🤩 Good ideas! I had some requests for more vehicles, these will combine with that very well😊
Thanks Byron, really enjoyed that.
Thanks so much
@@ArtisOpus Right?!
Thanks so much Jim ^_^ I absolutely want to try them out for weathering especially. I think it's a perfect mix, I just need some more practice 😊
I love your videos, I've learned so much by watching your videos! I'm sharing your videos with all my painting friends! I would like you to make a video on painting swamp effects on a base or a video with more in-depth instructions on your dry brush techniques. Keep up the amazing work my brother!
Thanks so much Nicolas, I really appreciate the help sharing the word!
That's a fantastic suggestion, I'm sure loads of people would find it useful :)
Amazing to hear dude! Thank you! We'll be touching on Tyranids and Greater daemons in the near future. You won't be disappointed😊👀
@@ArtisOpus _I'm_ responsible!? It's been in my head for *MONTHS* from watching your vids XD
Please i’d love to see how you paint a Keeper of Secrets!!!! Really in love with your videos!!!!
Thanks so much, bud! One of my recent favourite models :) I may already have one mostly built on my desk😁
Aliens, Xenos and gribblies. Always seeing some amazing blends and colour variations when people invent their own Hive Fleets.
Palette colours of your choice with discussion of colour theory behind the choices for Hive Fleet Opus 😍😍😍
🤩😁 I've got a Tyranid Harpy assembled, it just needs stripping. We need to give Tyranid some love!
@@ArtisOpus yeees!!!! The Hive Mind hungers eternal 😁😁😁
This would be great to see to see on a large seraphon model, with red or blue flesh
Would a Deepkin turtle tick the box? 😉 I have one assembled.
@@ArtisOpus yeah if it gives same result
@@fallenhuntercastiel Absolutely dude, I think they're very comparable 😊
Great video again - thanks! A custom Tyranid paint scheme would be great to see - preferably on a large model to see how you would tackle it with dry brushing
You're so welcome bud! I have a Harpy that needs stripping, luckily for me I just found my new favourite stripping models. We've neglected Tyranids for too long, they're definitely due some love😊❤
Another great video full of great content. Would love some more metallics ie silver, copper, brass
Thanks dude! Great idea, we do need to follow up gold 😊
I love the tutorials! It would be great to see something on painting faces. Keep up the great work!!!
I’d love to see you paint a lord of change like how you painted that amazing great unclean one!

Great tutorial! Absolute beast of a model! My vote for your next full model would be a Crimson Fist SM, would be good to see how you tackle that deep navy blue! Technique wise, could you show us how you would do flags/banners? I always seem to struggle getting them to look realistic!
Thanks so much dude! Flag and banner material? Or freehand? Good suggestions thanks, I just added them to my list🤩😊
@@ArtisOpus Well, I know how much you love freehand from your Black Templar video! I think more just getting them looking realistic material wise, mine always come out looking kind of heavy handed!
Love to see if there is a nice and easy way to paint scales for example of seraphon models.
Great tutorials btw!
Would a Deepkin turtle tick the box? 😉 I have one assembled.
Oh one more request, I would love to see a video just on cleaning up your figure when dry brushing. It's my biggest problem and reason I don't often use this technique. Thanks!
You'll get a more in-depth look at my assembly process in future videos, starting from this Sunday in my army project😊
I love the techniques you are using in this video.
I would love to see a video of how to battle lack of creativity or motivation to paint. Have had this lack for a very long time.
This is a great idea dude, I'll be covering how to keep momentum in my current Lockdown series a little, but will give this some thought for a future video!
Thanks.
Please no dude for me thanks.
Would love to see you do more gem/glow/osl tutorials using your fast techniques.
Great idea, thank you! :)
We'll get to undead flesh in the near future, Bryan, it's really being requested a lot, so definitely needs some TLC!
Love this, would love to see how you tackle a Keeper of Secrets! Am going to continue to binge your vids
I have one built! It'll probably be bloodthirsters first, but we will cover all greater demons! Probably another attempt at a speed job on each of them :D.
Enjoy!
Congrats on 20k!!!! It's well deserved. Thank you for doing the skin (I ask for it a lot lol). As usual, great tutorial!!!
No worries bud, we got there in the end! :D Undead flesh next!
It continues to amaze me how good your drybrushing is, mine always look chalky, though that could be because I don't yet have any of those delicious brushes.
Another great video, thanks
Thanks dude, it could be, however practise also makes perfect!
I’d love to see your take on a Heldrake. Love your videos so far.
Thanks, Konrad, now that's that a great idea for a big, but fast mini!
Congratulations on reaching 20k subs . Would love to see a tutorial for painting flames

Dangerous question! Id love to see you tackle more large models, busts that kind of thing. And I think you would be awesome doing some colab speed painting challenges or individual challenges with folks like the guys at midwinter minis, Goobertown hobbies, Squidmar etc!
