    Everyone forgets to clean the blue peels before laying them over the screen. It doesn't matter how you clean the screen if you introduce dust particles the the screen protector peels. Many times you need to use the dust sticker the moment you lift off the first part because there're particles underneath already. Mine was installed absolutely perfectly with not a single spec of dust or anything.

      Hi, thanks for stopping by. I ended up dong another install after I recorded this, and it turned out perfect as well. I struggle doing these on camera, I'm at a real weird angle when doing this, makes it tough.

  • @revolution108
    @revolution108 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    Just some constructive feedback on how to install it properly. You removed the middle section (Part 1) and then touched it with your fingers, don't do that. After removing Part 1, what is exposed is the actual screen protector itself, so you are just adding in dust and oil to it which will ruin the install. In fact try your best to not touch any part of the face down section at all.
    Also when you squeegy it down, place the phone on something grippy so the phone won't slide. Then squeegy it out in 1 continuous smooth action and not tiny bit at a time.

      Hi Vincent, thanks for watching! I appreciate your inputs on installing this, I'll definitely keep this in mind when I put the second one on later this weekend. The first one had a tiny speck that was driving me nuts. To be completely honest, I'm way out of my comfort zone doing these installs on camera, they just don't seem to go well, lol.

    I've been running with no screen protectors on my last several Galaxy devices. I haven't had an issue. I tried the White Stone Dome on the Note 20 Ultra, but I couldn't stand the sharp edges. I also hated that the FPS was unreliable once installed. And for what the WSD cost, I figured I could save the money and pay for a new screen with the insurance deductible. It's been years since I broke a phone screen... with these Samsung protectors being only $15 (and I didn't realize you get 2 for that price), I am considering getting them. I'll be watching to see your longer term review.
    I said I wasn't going to upgrade with the $500 S22 Ultra trade-in, but you (and other you tubers and forum members) broke me down. I finally decided that even if they raised the trade-in later, I wouldn't get the same value since I got the 512GB upgrade for free, the $150 in credits, plus I used Rakuten so I'm getting another $110 back. Can't wait for my lime S22 Ultra to arrive!

      Hi Dean, thanks for stopping by again, appreciate you! Congrats on getting it, I think you're going to love it. The battery life is outstanding, and the phone as a whole just feels very polished, hardware and software.
      I went ahead and removed this screen protector just a few hours after installing it. There was a speck of dust under it on the right side near the power button, and I can't hang with that. I also didn't like how scratched up it looked after just a couple hours of using it. Little tiny scratches that would never get scratched into an actual phone screen. They started to look real ugly. I don't know, I might end up trying out the second one that came in the pack at some point, but I'm going to go without one for a while. Especially since I'm currently using the s view wallet case, it helps keep the screen protected when it's in my pocket.

      @RADER TECH thanks for the update. I think I'll save my 15 bucks and just rock it with no protector like I have done for several years. I guess I can see why some people find it necessary, but I'm careful with my devices, and I like the way the device feels with no protecror.

      Hey Chad, thanks for stopping by again! Ha ha, I know what you mean. I've seen countless reddit posts of screen protectors just not staying "stuck' on the S22 Ultra, seems like a common thing. It seems like most of these companies have their own little spin on the install now, they all seem to come with some alignment gizmo.

  • @ThomasOsaki
    @ThomasOsaki ปีที่แล้ว

    just did this install. they do give you two screen films because you will definitely not do it right the first time. the 2nd film should go on better (once you realize that following their instructions is a failure and use your own finger to apply sections slowly).

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for watching! That's most likely happening when folks bend each side back, probably going all the way back, causing it to form the line. That's my hunch anyways. I didn't really notice on mine, but I have since uninstalled it due to a tiny speck of dust under it that was driving me nuts. I'll be putting the second one on tomorrow and will provide an udpate via pinned comment in a few more days. I'll look for those lines when installing this second one.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They are a pain in the rear to get right. One thing that's helped me with dust is installing it while being close to the shower and having the shower water turned up hot so it lets off a lot of steam. That steam in the air seems to help keep dust particles down. Honestly though, these protectors aren't really needed. Just make sure to not put your car keys in the same pocket as the phone, that's the screen killer right there, lol. Thanks for stopping by!

      Hey Bryant, thanks for stopping by again. I've heard a lot of folks had issues with screen protectors on the S22 Ultra. I guess the curved edges really put a damper on it.
      I've already removed this screen protector from the S23 Ultra, I don't like it. It shows too many little scratches that would never scratch the actual screen, and there was a speck of dust trapped under it, I can't hang with that.

    • @RADERTECH
      @RADERTECH  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for stopping by. I usually just slide my fingernail or thumbnail underneath it from one of the corners, then pull it off. It should come right off. Make sure to clean it thoroughly and do a final wipe down before putting a new one on, or you'll face the same issue again. One single spec of dust will ruin the install.

      My apologies for the slow reply. It's been 3 weeks since you asked this, hopefully most of them went away by now. Usually, I notice the ones that don't go away after 4 or 5 days will usually stay there, but most clear out before then.

      Hi Howie, thanks for watching. Yeah, I gotcha. It's on the harder feeling side, it's not gummy feeling in any way. I've since removed the first one due to a speck of dust (I'm OCD about these screen protectors), but I'll probably try out the second one later this weekend. The one thing I noticed though is that it started showing microscratches super easily, so you might want to consider another option.

      I'm OCD myself lol. I would always have screen protectors back up ready on deck...saw a few TH-camrs tried the whitestone dome for this year and they liked it. This gen that include a rubber weighed block for the fingerprint area. Last gen, for the s22, for whatever reason my on screen fingerprint was horrible with inaccuracy (I've reentered my thumb, and same twice twice with touch sensitivity increased) I was so annoyed I decided to rock the s22 bare 🤣
