Regarding sticking decals on rounded surfaces, heat helps. You can use a lighter or a hairdryer to heat the sticker while it is on the round surface and make it gently adhere to that surface by pressing it lightly. Just dont heat the sticker for too long, lest you melt or burn the sticker or plastic. Keep the direct heating under half a second if you use the lighter.
I rewatched the Hazel Madness series recently came up with my own High Mobility Artillery based on the Hazel Sniper. It is such a good thing we have so modular kits that are still getting directly compatible attachments.
If you want the backpack flaps to move, consider picking up the RealGrade High-Mobility Type Zakus. Johnny Ridden's R2-type is standard release, and Shin Matsunaga's is P-Bandai. Both can be easily converted to R1-types by simply removing two parts from each lower leg. Edit after seeing the articulation: both also have double-jointed elbows and 90-degree knee bends.
I'm a sucker for the Wolf of Solomon, but I'm holding out for the Master Grade version. I've been buying only the 2.0 or 3.0 versions of these kits for the last couple years and I really don't think I could go back to the other versions, even though there are SO MANY High Grades. I get really tempted just because of the variety available. Crimson Lightning's MS is pretty sweet too, I love the leg-thrusters on his Zaku.
Let's hope the new HGUC Char's Zaku II we're getting opens up the window of some revives of these older Zakus, as well as ones still in need, such as Dozle's. I really like this kit but it's one of my least favorite HG Zakus. The articulation just leaves so much to be desired. The shoulder sticker sucks too, but I've found that using the four-piece stickers and cutting off the parts that would wrap around the inside of the shoulder pad is probably the best way to do it. Great review man!
I’m sure there is a water slide decal sheet of what would come in this kit as stickers, do water slides have the same hard time staying on a piece that has weird angles and shapes?
@Ben Chui I wish Bandai would do more High Grade from MSV series such as Zaku Marine Type (since Bandai already made HGUC Zaku Mariner which the MS was base on Zaku Marine Type) Recon Zaku, Gouf Heavy Arms Type or even Full Armor Gundam that would be great.

Knowing some of the technical issues, I still chose to get this and the Gelgoog Jager counterpart because I thought it would make a nice pair of rivals to my White Dingo's GM Sniper II, seeing as Shin was involved with the colony drop that resulted in the catastrophic damage of Australia.
This was my 2nd gunpla kit, i picked him up while at a anime convention, and custom painted him with black smudges (battle damage or scuffs) and gold detailing, and is still one of my favorite kits!

ah yes Shin Matsunaga, the guy who met Johnny Ridden but confuses him for Char Aznable just because both pilots has the gimmick of red colors thus pissed Johnny off and then later is seen in Gundam Evolve joining the A.E.U.G. and pilots a custom Zeta Gundam.
Not related to this kit, but was wondering if you'd gotten the hgac geminass yet. Just finished it this morning myself, and... It's ok. Spent $70USD for it, but it honestly shouldn't have been p-bandai. Elbows only move about 90 degrees, knees a bit more than that. Some parts are just held by friction more or less, so I'll have to glue them. Mainly the grey parts on the knees, and the yellow parts on the shoulders. Looks great, and color separation is awesome, but it seriously should have been a normal release... Would have been better if it'd had the upgrade parts. Least then the price would have been justifiable.
Finally a review on a suit I was considering on getting or not... I kinda way the HM parts for a custom Zaku II build but I'm not sure which High Mobility Zaku to get... technically I don't really care who the pilot is, the parts are what I want but its the painting and cost that trouble me as none of the suits shown cost equally, at least not from the places I shop from and have to rough up and repaint the surface is such a time consuming tedious task...

Recommend replace the large stickers by paint, then cut out the wolf head and stick it on. By the way, if you want to put the weapon holder, put it on first before applying the stickers (or paint it so stickers won't get scratched off).
If you like this zaku's mold but feels that the weaponry and options are lacking, HGBF Zaku Amazing could be a viable option, it is essentially a black tristars zaku, plus extra shoulder, leg and backpack parts. It also comes with twin heat knives, twin revolvers, and long beam rifle. You could also build a char colored high mobility zaku ii with the parts inside, just lacking a single shoulder spike. But shin matsunaga has slightly different mold than this one so its not really a 1:1 substitute, plus the striking white color is very impressive. I'm waiting for bandai to make origin version of shin matsunaga's, with improved joints. I just hope its not p bandai
I like the zaku ii high mobility type. Sure the gelgoogs where good but something ab out the zakui just like more. With gouf custom being next to them ^^
I saw your vid on why the Titans used Hizacks and agreed with your research and opinion. So I wanted to ask if you could cover a longtime question I'v had about the development of the New type OS in units like the Blue Destiny, Pale Riders, and Sentinel. My question is: Did the NT-D system come from the continued development of counter Newtype weapons and why didnt the federation or Zeon/Neo Zeon focus more on that since Newtypes would always devastate morale and attrition on both sides?

So when it was mentioned that the windam is the same/equivalent with the strike, are they pertaining to the general understood performance of the strike, or specificaly referring to kira's/even mu's performace with it?

The sad thing is the HGMSV only have these zaku but no EFSF suit and dozulu 's zaku.
Well they did continue the HgMSV line as HG origin MSD, which is mostly msv designs but in the orign style.

I highly recommend you get the GM sniper and guard customs, beautiful kits when they have the labels applied. BUT they are pbandai ...

they should use HG The Origin lines to make more of this MSV Zakus like Dozle Zabi, Shin Matsunaga, Johnny Ridden, etc etc
