In the interviews taken by some Israeli researchers, they found that:
_Interviewees from all groups, with the exception of site promoters, perceived the Baha'i as exerting power over the residents, in some cases with the help of the courts, to induce them to sell their apartments. In most instances, references were not to physical force but to the power stemming from influence, economic resources, and information lacked by the local residents. Thus, some interviewees associated with local groups maintained that they “may have been” forced to sell, whereas others said so with certainty. According to one interviewee, “they purchased land by force... and they came and practically forced people to sell, using temptation (money).” According to another interviewee also associated with local groups, “the Baha'i purchased apartments from the residents by exerting force and pressure on them to sell.” In their account of the events, interviewees also used words expressing power and aggressiveness, such as “theft,” “stealing,” “taking over,” and “destroying.”_

What makes you think the two Prophet-Founders of the Bahá'í Faith are imposters? What imposters suffer almost their entire ministries imprisoned, being tortured, exiled, or martyred as the Báb was? Why would Bahá'u'lláh have put up with 40 years of agony to bring about a false message? Would you consider it proof that in all those 40 years, He never once wavered in His determination to reveal the Cause of God for our time? And btw, the the Qur'án does promise more Messengers. I understand that Shogi Effendi, the Guardian of the faith, bought the majority of the land for the Gardens on Mount Carmel in 1950. It should have been apparent to him that some of that land must have belonged to the Palestinian Arab population which had fled Haifa in 1948 because of the massacrtes carried out by the Zionist terrorist groups the Irgun, the Stern Gang and the Hagenah, which eventually became the Israeli Defence (Offence) Force. The Palestinian Arab population in Haifa in January 1948 was 65,000. After the massacres on 21 and 22 April 1948, that population was reduced to 3,000. These people had fled to save their lives from the ultra aggressive Zionists. There had also been massacres in Haifa in 1937, and 1947.
As you probably know, 750,000 Palestinians were forced from their land in 1948. This was all to do with the threat posed by the Zionists to the life and limb of Palestinians by their reign of terror.
My question would be, how could a supposedly very intelligent and highly moral man buy land, when he knew that by the law of averages, some of that land must have belonged to dispossessed Palestinians.
I find it very oxymoronic that the Bahaii Faith has a building in the garden complex on Mount Carmel, called the International House of Justice. Despite the genocide being carried out by the Israeli State, the International House of Justice has said nothing about the massacres taking place daily in Gaza and the West Bank.
I understand that the Bahaiis dont generally comment on politics in any country. But surely this situation is above politics. I also understand a reluctance to comment, because your complex is in the belly of the beast and that beast could very easily turn on the Bahaiis and start slaughtering them. I suggest that you should get the majority of the volunteers to leave the complex and explain why Israel must stop slaughtering Palestinians.
Otherwise stand on the sidelines while the psychotic Israelis slaughter as many Palestinians as they can. If that happens, I am sure they will get around to Bahaiis at some stage.

Ultimately he acquired about one fourth of the total. In the mid 1920's he sold the titles to the Jewish National Fund (Keren Kayemet) without consulting the villagers (cf. Granovsky 1931:table 8). When the villagers discovered this they decided to end the periodic redistributions of the land in order to benefit from the law granting title to anyone who could prove continuous cultivation for ten years._

The Bahá'í Faith fulfills the prophecies of Islam for the promised Qá'im and/or Mahdi. If you refuse to investigate it, you'll be doing the same as those who rejected Muhammad when He came. The Qurán prophesies more Messengers. It's interesting how so many Muslims, though not all, have ignored that passage and think God is finished with us. If God never changes, what makes you think He would stop sending His Messengers when he always did before? Just curious.

They were in Akka because the prophet founder of the Baha'i Faith was exiled there in 1868 by the Persian and Ottoman authorities. Akka at that time was a penal colony. As the number of believers grew, and their prisoner statuses relaxed, lands were bought in the vicinity of Akka and Haifa.

There are still Bahá'ís being imprisoned for their beliefs. You have to be very courageous and dedicated to accept the Faith if you're a Muslim, but it does happen.

Bahá'u'lláh is the Father. We can't be Bahá'ís without believing in Jesus. Remember when Jesus said He would return with a new name in the Glory of the Father? Bahá'u'lláh means "Glory of God." For many of us, the Bible with all its prophecies led us to search out this new Revelation. Did you think God forgot about all those prophecies and only sent one Manifestation of His names and attributes 2,000 years ago? God does still care for His children and has sent us guidance for our time and for our level of maturity. I hope you will investigate it for yourself.

@@AdoptedCats Yes, and I believe what the Bible says of Him. He promised to return in the Glory of the Father, which I believe has happened in the Person of Bahá'u'lláh. Yes, Jesus is God in that He manifests God's attributes and qualities, but the Bible also tells us "God is not a man..." (Num. 23:19), and Jesus said He had been "sent by God" (John 3:34). He also said, "No one has seen God at any time...." (John 5:37), and Romans 1:19 says God is manifest in Him. We believe God has been manifested many times, in Moses, for example, whom Jesus affirmed.
The Bible prophesied He would return with a new name (Rev. 2:17), and I believe He has, having come as a thief in the night while most in the household still sleep. We do have the opportunity to wake up and examine the evidence, however, since Bahá'u'lláh wrote down His Revelation and historians recorded His life. Besides, it was recent enough (1817-1892) that years ago I even met someone who knew Him well. What a bounty!
It wouldn't hurt to investigate the matter, @doviid2691. You can always turn away from Bahá'u'lláh if you don't find His life and teachings of value to you. God never forces us to believe although for me at least, the evidence was so compelling, I could not possibly have turned away.

They persecuted (and executed) the Báb under false pretenses. They persecuted Bahá'u'lláh under false pretenses. So you're just doing what they all did, right? Only on a message board. LOL I have to wonder if someone persecuted you for your religion, would you be as courageous and self-sacrificing as the Prophet-Founders of the Bahá'í Faith were?
One of my main proofs of Bahá'u'lláh's claim is that in spite of *40 YEARS* of persecution, including imprisonment, torture, and banishment, He never wavered. He never said, "Um, I've had enough of THIS garbage. I quit." _No, He did not._ He just kept going, revealing 7 million words of inspiring Divine Revelation, until He finally succumbed in exile in Palestine. No one suffers like that for a lie. You might want to tear off the veils and examine His Cause. It couldn't hurt _you._

    • @janetrawling-keitel2573
      @janetrawling-keitel2573 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@Paul Victorius Just to correct two misunderstandings: 1. Bahá'ís do not believe in pantheism. They believe in the one God Who reveals Himself through His specially chosen (and prophesied) Messengers, which we Bahá'ís call Manifestations of God. The Bahá'ís worship God and have no idols. There are no sculptures or pictures of its Founder in any of its temples or shrines around the world. 2. The Founder of the Bahá'í Religion, Bahá'u'lláh, like most of the Messengers of God, was persecuted, tortured and imprisoned for His teachings of love and tolerance, and was then banished by the Ottoman government to its notorious prison city in Akká. After the collapse of the Ottoman government, the Bahá'ís were permitted to buy land on Mount Carmel (Elijah's cave is also there) in order to bury the Báb, the Herold of the Bahá'í-Religion. This was in 1909 and it was just a very simple building at the time. Since then the Bahá'ís have continued to beautify the Shrine and the mountain itself. The state of Israel did not exist until 1949, so it is absolutely wrong to accuse the state of Israel for allowing the Shrine to be built; however it does permit the Bahá'ís to continue its beautifications on the land it owns, just as it allows Christians and Muslims to have their sacred areas.
