  • Best BMW 3 Series Cars - A BMW Series 3 Comparison
    There are a ton of BMW 3 series cars. This video gives you a complete run down of all the different Series 3 models that have come out over the years. I show you a ton of these great BMW series 3 cars, give you comparisons by year, and help direct you to which BMW Series 3 is the best car to buy.
    Everything from the E30 to the latest m3 e90D, the series 3 cars have some of the best value buys out there on the market today, especially when you're looking for used vehicles. That's because they're fun to drive and are generally reliable.
    I also talk about the e46, the e36, e92, and all of the different e90 models, the F80, and more. It's amazing to watch the difference between the cars as the years go by. From the 1980's with the e30s to the 90's and the e46. Once we're in to the 2000's and we look at the e90s, we really start to see the current designs with the 3 series cars.
    Now, of course, I go through all of the 300 series options with these cars, I give you some comparisons, and by the end, you will have great knowledge around the whole BMW series 3 cars.
    Now go ahead and SMASH that SUBSCRIBE button and stay tuned for the next great video from Mark Holubetz at ExoticCar PlayPlace.

    1996 E36 M3; Bought with 78k miles, sold at 212k miles. Only issue was driver's door window regulator failed once at 101k miles. This car was rather expensive to maintain, due to having to replace tires every 18k-20k miles. Other than maintenance costs, very reliable car. Car still ran and drove very well when I sold her. No weird noises or vibration. I would've kept it longer if it were the later 4 door model.

      I'm heading over on Saturday to pick up my 2000 BMW 323CI black, convertible with manual transmission, tan leather interior and 100k! it was shipped here from Germany and not bought from a dealership - OR the dealership had it shipped over? Which I think is probably a good thing! It is absolutely pristine! It looks like somebody cleaned it with a toothbrush! It has a convertible top which is brand-new along with brand new tires and top-of-the-line stereo system with God knows how many speakers which are Harman kardon, and an 8 CD disc changer in the trunk! The price I'm paying for it is $4400 U.S. dollars!
      I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!
      I had a 1989 years ago which I drove all over God's creation which was not a ragtop but had the same simplicity with the inline 6 engine and all I did was change the oil and it never failed me! When I was looking to buy a new vehicle I was asking myself, since that I don't buy new cars that often anymore and, I've had brand new cars for the last 20 years but I wanted something that was fun to drive and I had to ask myself, which car was the most fun to drive! And, short of my Alfa Romeo convertible, there was no question in my mind!
      SOOOOOOOO - I'm over the moon and honestly some old lady drove to the store and back and it's amazing to get a vehicle this clean and beautiful at that price! The only thing I'm going to do is change all the fluids and I spent months and months looking for this car, and what surprised me was the simple fact that there are I'm very very limited amount of manual transmission models available! I guess nobody wants to drive stick anymore? But that inline 6, with no nonsense no, no big screen TV with GPS and rear backup cameras and all the juju that you don't need! The only thing I'll eventually have to do is change some window motors but when I was looking for this car and my friends were asking me why? And I said if you've never driven a BMW then you'll never understand!
      My friend's husband just bought a newer model which is I think he got a 2017 4 cylinder turbo, which to me with all the gadgetry and nonsense on that car when he has to bring it into the dealership he's going to want to commit suicide because it has things he doesn't need and quite honestly my car compared to his side by side is just as beautiful and in my opinion more classic! All I can say is that those German sure do know how to make an automobile and I've got two days to wait before I seal the deal! And I CAN'T be happier! Good luck my brother and enjoy the beautiful driving experience of a BMW! 🙏🏼✌🏼💖😉

    I have 2 e46 and 1 f80. Although the f80 is much faster, I prefer my e46s over the f80. The inline is what I associate with BMWs. My f80 sounds like a diesel when starting cold and just the overall quality is not as good as the e46s. One example is how the door cards look and feel on the f80 vs e46. F80s have a cheap vinyl feel to the door pulls that looks like it will soon tear if I keep resting my elbow on it. The trunk hinges and the way the doors shut on they F80s vs e46. Again, E46 > F80. Another bonus is how relatively easy it is to work on the e46. Even the cooling system, pulleys, vacuum lines are easy DIYs. Window regulators are easy and straight forward.

      R A same acceleration for similar displacement, only much better mpg.

    • @Internet_Spy
      @Internet_Spy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @R A it's not a Ford. It's BMW. If its maintained it will be a fair more reliable, economical car than a petrol equivalent. It's also widely recognized that given the lower friction, simpler design, it's a vehicle made for longevity. It depends on what you want. Why do you think large semis use diesel? Because they are more economical, reliable and cost less over time.

    • @Internet_Spy
      @Internet_Spy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      R A nearly 70 percent of all vehicles in Europe sold are diesel. I am not just talking about the US I am talking globally. Nor was I just talking about BMW. Diesel engines as a whole are some of the most efficient low cost machines in the world. If you take just one country and one brand you skew the numbers anyway you like. But diesel as a concept is not only the engine of the future, the concept will inevitably super cede battery tech. Biodiesel for example, is entirely carbon neutral and works in any modern Diesel engine. Your take on obsolescence is flawed. BMW may be abandoning the technology but that doesn’t mean it is done. Battery tech like Tesla is extremely costly to develop and the environmental damage that the production has on the environment is catastrophic. The Diesel engine originally designed for peanut oil, a carbon neutral fuel is fundamentally an unfinished story and has plenty of years left. It’s a matter of opinion. It is my opinion that diesel is not finished. Unfortunately for the USA the epa has all but killed diesel because of its ridiculous emissions standards. You cannot judge a fuel standard by a flawed implementation of the technology as has occurred in the USA. Take the European Ford Mondeo, produced and sold in Europe; www.ford.co.uk/shop/price-and-locate/build-and-price#/catalogID/00R/summary/?code=CBA_RA8:R3B produces 65mpg imperial. The figures are not arguable. You can call it a false economy all you like. That may be right, but only in the US. As for my own experience, I’ve owned a 335d with absolutely no costs incurred outside regular maintenance, and I’ve hit 70,000 miles. I’ve also owned 330d, 320d, x5 diesel. The x5 was the only vehicle that was terrible to own and the problems were not related to the engine.

    • @lukafranjcic2634
      @lukafranjcic2634 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      My friend has f10 520d and he gets 41mpg combined. On open roads he gets around 50. Which petrol car with around 200hp has better economy? Yes petrol cars are a bit cheeper to maintenan and they are great if you do 5000miles per year... But if you're doing 20000 each year then the difference in mpg and fuel price is way bigger then difference between maintenance! And your fact that 70% of repairs are done on diesels. OF COURSE they are cuz people buy diesel car if they are doing alot of miles. Soo diesels get driven more soo they brake more, IT'S FUCKING LOGIC.
      And diesel is not even near his end... You'll watch black smoke for a long time ;)

    I'm a little surprised you coulden't find better examples for your video. If you have a BMW of America Car Club (BACC) in your area you will find great examples of all the cars you were discussing. I live in Portland Oregon and the (BACC) has examples vintage Beemiers from M1's, 635CSi's, all the way to current. There are three great 2002's with in a block of me. I own a 93 E36 325is that's in far better shape than the one you showed and the E30 was patheticly sad. The 88 E30 325ie I sold two years ago was a far better example. It was an amazing car! I loved every minute of the 12 years I owned it. Also it would be great if you could find a place to shoot your discussion with BMW's in the background. The view from your back yard is nice but it's incongruous with your subject. Cheers

Manuals represent only some 20% of market in USA and tho they saved you $3k on sticker they go for a slight premium today. (manny my choice)

The E30 looks terrible and the e36 has definitely seen better days. The e90 looks as if it was driven through the mud. With a tow hook stuck out of the back. It does look like it has actually towed something and not other way around otherwise the tow hook would have been in front. The only car that looked descent was the e46 and it was a sexy coup not a sedan. If you were gonna compare apples to apples get an e92. I honestly think your videos are awesome but this one i unfortunately had to vote down Otherwise thank you for all the great content.

I bought one that had about 165k miles and had several problems that needed to be addressed like an airbag light, and a front headlamp assembly which was causing another fault light on the dash. Had a few signs of seepage in the engine too. I ended up selling it recently. Next time I am gonna look for an E90 with fewer miles so I can enjoy driving the car more than fixing it. I do love the way a BMW door sounds when you close it.

    • @RevollutioNXify
      @RevollutioNXify 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends. Is this going to be a daily? Do you have a lot of snow in your area? If you answered yes to both or just yes to the snow thing I would say no.
      I got my 2011 328i a week ago and I just dropped it off today at the dealership because there's a ticking sound coming from the engine. It might be nothing but I don't want to risk it. So we'll see how it goes. I can update you if you wish. BUT aside from what I've experienced, if I could go back in time I would still buy it. My model is AWD and automatic with tiptronic. It drives smooth relatively(because of the run flats). It has useful power not useless power like the 2018 M5. I fixed the cup holder that the previous owner ruined and the previous owner left the car out in the sun and the windshield rubber cracked and I fixed that. Altogether with doing the work myself cost me $75. Those issues STILL have not changed my mind about the car. IT has extreme potential to be a lifelong daily.

      Robert Hazz it’s definitely fun to drive and has great power but considering the fact that this car is the base model for the e90 I definitely would not recommend buying one

      Tucan 313 that’s very true in terms of the turbo but they’re not really that difficult to replace. You can get the same mpg in a 335i compared to a 325i and at the same time have a car that can be tuned to be just as fast or faster than an M3

      Yea I was considering buying the 328 coupe e92 with no turbo and I didn't like how you really had to put your foot down on it. It just wasn't wat I was looking for I figured out. Btw I laughed when I read your name, like its really him haha

    You cant compare a 330i with a 330i zhp. Dont handle nowhere the same as a zhp and quit a few little differences between them too. Which make for a different driving car campared to the regular 330

      True, the handling is quite different, but sadly to exploit the zhp fully, one must be on a track to actually appreciate it.
