In my opinion if you want the best sear you need to let at least two burners be on high and get that part of the grill scorching hot, have the middle or the side your caramelizing the onions on low so once you get a real pronounced sear on both sides you can move them to the lower heat to let them cook uo to temp without burning. The best sear happens with a scorching hot griddle though

I’m laughing at every comment that said don’t press on the meat. For one; it doesn’t have any added flavor to except the spice. Besides that, he doesn’t put anything in it. What flavor is he letting out?? The juice of the meat?? Lol. It’s meat, the flavor isn’t going anywhere. When you press down, you’re actually creating more flavor (brisket is done the same way.) minus the press. That caramalizes the juices at the bottom which creates more flavor. 🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️

@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 I’m thinking about doing street burger and fries 🍟
can you hook these up to a normal gas line or do they have to be propane?
MrDirtbikesrule Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I’m not totally sure I would consult Blackstone for that answer. Sorry I couldn’t be more help
Need to work on your heat distribution. Should of left your onions on low to right of griddle. But good vid nice burger
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Yeah it is my first flat top cooker. I’m getting better at figuring out and working on it. I do love it can’t believe it took me this long to get one
Might be a dumb question, but what's is benefit of smashing the burgers?
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. It creates a nice crispy sear on the outside of the burger. But I wasn’t making smash burgers I just messed up and was not thinking. It does remove some of the fat
Good burger brother
Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
Why you want to press all those delicious juices out?
Wow, that's a ton of seasoning.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it
Man I try to cook burgers on mine and they’re still pink in the middle but burnt on the top. Wtf am I doing wrong?
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I would recommend to have a side that’s not as hot. Sear them on the hotter side then move them to the not so hot side and cover them with a dome and let them finish that way.
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 awesome and thank you. I’m going to try that and I’ll try making a smash burger too. I think they’re too thick and just don’t cook all the way. Thanks man
little seasoning on those onions
Dude they were down by the 7:17.

Thanks for watching I appreciate it. The griddle was about 450 degrees if I remember correctly.

Gorilla24 porter Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I can’t believe I didn’t buy one sooner then I did. I recommend one. I’m buying a small one to take camping
Perhaps I’m missing something here but why smash towards the end of the cook? All those juices escaping made me lose my mind
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Yeah I messed up I had my mind on smash burgers. Hasn’t happened since wishing you a good weekend
@offthewallsbbqmore4821 It takes a lot to admit you made that mistake but I'm sure the burgers turned out pretty fn good!!! Everything else was on point! Video and sound is crystal clear
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. We all make mistakes and most of us learn from them and some don’t. Appreciate the support
Thanks for watching and the nice comment. People been criticizing that video from day one. I appreciate you sir.
