    Not gonna lie, I've never been to a tournament in my life (yet 🤞), I might still buy one. I enjoy letting my friends use all my sticks when we're hanging out. Bringing out the top quality stickevery now and then for them to salivate over for the night is a highlight for me

    Totally agree, that usb-c is a huge oversight. It’s not a laptop, it’s a competitive tool. But man is it gorgeous!

    • @TrickyEileen

      That’s a great way to put it. It’s a competitive tool. and to be fair to the device. Most arcade sticks fail at this port but some are doing a great job. Guess it’s just important to remind the peripheral makers to prioritize this port security

    thx for the video i play leverless since tekken 7 s2 currently with razor kitsune quality is fine i dont hate it but no surport with the cables or buttons sucked very hard because the are damaged and i cant nothing about, so im very happy to see another company doing it better even further for the future its great i pre order it thx a lot.

      yes issues with cables and buttons are not an "if" but a "when" regarding arcade controllers. Even PCB's die eventually and need to be replaced. So I always prefer a device that is repairable and upgradable.

    I bought a cheap 3D printed leverless controller last year. It's well made (especially for the price) and within less than a day I could feel that I could do certain things faster and/or more precisely. That said, I can't bring myself to use it regularly as I just prefer the tactility of a joystick.
    I'm curious about your perspective on the feeling of different devices and the pros/cons of each. I think leverless controllers are the de-facto "best" input devices for fighting games, but that doesn't automatically make me want to use them. Same reason I don't play competitive shooters any more, KB/M is "the best", but I prefer to use a dual analogue controller.

      At end of the day we have plenty of evidence that any device works at high level if you train it.

    what’s your opinion on Junkfood arcades?

    • @TrickyEileen
      @TrickyEileen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve played on the junkfod arcade devices from my friends who have them. I love the small pocket ability but I like having a physical box absorb some of the shock of me pressing buttons to relieve pressure on my hands.
      I’m probably an odd use case cuz I am using these under extreme conditions so things that wouldn’t bother the average gamer will start to become an issue for me. Like shock absorbing features.
      I also like to play in my lap and the flat profile of those sticks are too low so I have to angle my arms more the. 90 degrees and that puts more pressure on my muscles over long term sessions.
      And the buttons are placed in an uncomfortable layout for my hands. That is prob a unique thing for me tho.

    But if you have larger hands (like myself) I am pretty certain you will be hitting that edge either way, compared to a flatter designed controller.

    • @TrickyEileen
      @TrickyEileen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is totally fair too. I have small hands 🙌. I still do not recommend resting you hands on the stick when playing. Always float your wrists like you’re playing piano or touch typing. Light and loose hands are fast accurate hands

      Haha, I totally get it! The Victrix Pro FS is an awesome piece of gear, but switching from a controller to a stick can feel like learning a whole new game. 😅 It’s definitely a challenge, but once you get the hang of it, it can really elevate your play. Take your time with it and practice bit by bit-you’ve got this!

      Switching from pad to stick is definitely a big change. It's cool you're giving the Victrix Pro FS a shot.
      Taking it slow and practicing bit by bit is smart. What parts are you finding the toughest to adjust to?
      Are there any specific moves or techniques you're excited to try on stick once you get more comfortable?
      Don't worry if it takes a while to feel natural. Everyone's learning curve is different.
      Have you thought about starting with simpler characters to get used to the stick movement?
      Keep at it! Even if you end up preferring pad, the stick practice can give you new insights into the game.

    • @dsc5957
      @dsc5957 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think they are trying to say that getting sent a $300 controller in exchange for speaking about the controller to your audience is a form of sponsorship.
      I personally don’t feel that your review suffered from bias, but acknowledging that there is a conflict of interest is fair. If you or any other reviewer was consistently critical of products, I think they would start to get sent less products over time. That’s just common sense.

    • @TrickyEileen

      My first review was of the haute 42 and I just railed it for the short review. Sponsored vids they pay you to do with actual money. But yeah that’s why I said they sent it to me so people can have the context. If I was buying with my own money, I’d likely wait to see what the sapphire will cost and maybe get that. Cuz 350$ or whatever is too expensive

    These incredibly overpriced $300+ leverless controller vs a Haute42, Snackbox, or even a Mayflash F500 flat(that despite the name is the thicker type box) is not going to determine whether you become a top player or not. So, instead I'd say do the smart thing (unless you can just throw away money or get these for free...) and get the much more reasonable priced leverless (and an adapter for around $30 or less, not sure where $60-70 came from...), and then if you happen to become a pro caliber player you'll be sent any leverless you want for free. Even if you want to spend a decent amount I don't know why you would buy this before at least waiting to hear more about the Sapphire since it looks much more interesting than this in my opinion.
    Also, I always use a small memory foam pillow on my lap when playing, even with just a regular handheld controller, it feels way more comfortable in general.

    • @TrickyEileen
      @TrickyEileen  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      atm we don't know what the sapphire will retail for. This stick is priced around where other premium high quality sticks are tho. The haute is a fantastic entry model device. I do still think it's kind of expensive, but the buttons are likely shooting the price up a lot. You can get standard buttons if you want too. I hope they can find a way to reduce the price in some way to make it more competitive
