Yep. These are so much steady wether is on jumping, landing, sudden weight transfers etc.. No matter the surface. That's always mind blowing.

The suspension of these cars is insane, look at how the angle of the car was when landing and it took it like it was nothing
The level of punishment those dampers can deal with is absolutely mental. A road car would grind to a halt about 100m down the road with the whole thing in pieces.
Crazy to hear he thought it felt wrong but he managed to keep the outside front tire just barely on the track. Masters.

@@user-jz4sy2wn2cAbsolutely right , I used to instruct at a rally school on gravel and a student insisted to take his Subaru Impreza around slowly just to see how it felt , well after two punctures two damaged shock absorbers and a scraped front spoiler and underside he won’t be doing that again in a hurry !

This is why I respect Rally events so much. Because the amount of balls you gotta have to drive on really harsh and hazardous terrains while maintaining composure and focus in your driving. Most especially being a co-driver because you are basically telling your driver what turn is ahead or what jump while also experiencing that stress.
Their laughs are contagious.. having great fun.. rally drivers and their cars are the best..

Being born in 2000 and growing up loving the WRC, my dream job was to be a rally driver. Even today, but I don’t think it’ll ever happen hahah.
That’s great to aspire to 👍🏻 I had a group B Metro 6R4 in the late 80’s and went on to instruct at rally schools also drive a rally prepared Subaru WRX STI at Prodrive for fast laps , my dream job !

racing seats have bare minimum cushioning so these landings hurt like hell, especially for the lower back
As long as they are good quality (which these ones would be) they are actually pretty good.
And the suspension is soo much better then in a road car.
