I have the xr model. The back of your legs get warm when going above 45 mph. I'm putting in heat shield and sound dampening material next week. Other than that, excellent machine! I was riding on gravel roads on about a 10 mile trip when I discovered this problem. I would imagine kawasaki will correct this problem myb in next year's models.
Yes you are correct. Now I'm hauling ass going down gravel roads and it's 105 degrees outside here in Oklahoma. I still really like the machine. I've tested it out for 300 miles now and the thing rips on the trails. I would say it's more capable than the defender and ranger in offroading. I've owned both.
they flat out lied about the heat and noise ; aka manufacturer butt smootchers. The forums tell the truth about the heat and noise. On the forums ; doors that dont align, tailgate latch breaks and flops open ,seriously sucks gas and of course the heat under the seat with the noise to go with it. These two guys will never tell a truthful review. And yes I have a limited!
Because of the tire size?? 😂 you do realize you can swap them out fairly easily hey? Most dealers I know will pay you for the factory tires and resell them. Not quite a dealbreaker in my opinion!
@@pajamatime5750 shouldn’t have to, Kawasaki should get with the times. Other manufacturers are listening, nobody wants to spend another $800 right off the bat. The Ridge doesn’t offer anything the other brands don’t already have except an extra cylinder which they detuned to have less power than the competitors. It’s not just about the tires.

27" tires come on Kawasaki. Nobody is going to buy these, two years from now you'll be able to buy a nice leftover is my guess.
