Definitely a proper enemy. Always keeping you on your toes at all ranges and having to deal with the different Pirate Troopers during the fight puts him on S in a tier list.
If you can beat *any* boss in *any* Metroid game without taking damage, you have my respect. They're loads of fun, but the difficulty can range from mildly irritating to downright soul-crushing.
I know this has been said before but it needs to be said again, the amount of detail put into this game is absolutely amazing and I hope it sells well enough that Nintendo decides to remaster both Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3.
I really hope they bring 3 to switch. I never played it because I didn't own a wii. It's the only prime game I've never beaten and only 1 of 3 metroid games I've never played with that ds one and Other M. If 3 is anything like the first two prime games then I'll keep my fingers crossed for that
@mushy prime two had a bit more of puzzle solving traveling between light and dark world. Primer 3 was a bit more like 1 being straight foward and few puzzles

I am literally playing the original on the Gamecube and the controls/camera are fn horrible. You can only look around with the left analog stick. The only way to use the right analog stick is if you hold the right trigger button first and then the left trigger to lock on and the A button to shoot. It is soooo annoying. I don't care how good the game looks and everything else if the controls and camera are almost unplayable.

The point here is all over the place when you're playing an outdated version of the game. The point isn't about the graphics in anyway it's the design, which is utterly superb. @@greasy8394 Left control stick and right trigger was the way to 'look' around as you stood stationary. 90% of gameplay is focus on left trigger and left control stick. you barely do 5% of right stick since that is all for changing the arm cannon's fire function. Nothing more is done on the right stick. Even Prime 2 has similar. The main deal is you'd use B to strafe left/right to 'Dodge' things from hitting you. Dual stick controlling as other first person shooter games isn't the same on this because firstly this game ISN'T a first person 'SHOOTER' It's a First Person 'ADVENTURE' game. I'd have to say that playing with focus on left stick. Is way better then Wii or 3DS's Fed forces style of controls. It gives the B-strafing dodge way more focus and less lag trying to switch to hitting B all the time left and right. I Played OG Prime 1-2-Hunters -3, 3DS fed Force. And i think the dodge strafe is way faster on the 1-2 gamecube systems then the trilogy clone for Wii/Wii-U or 3DS fed forces. But as Daniel said. Skill issue. New kids now adays won't understand us oldies and the 'True' games that were real. Unlike the lame games that make to easy for you new youngsters.
Wow the graphics got 2 decades worth of upgraded visuals. This original game came out over 20 years ago. This is how much game graphics has come. Stunning 🤩
There's a few particle effects I don't like as much (the Incinerator Drone flames looking blander and not changing the lighting and the lack of purple bits in the power beam are the ones I can think of) but these are minor in comparison to the sheer love and attention the Prime series has gotten because of this remaster. That won't be necessary. IIRC, I heard that MercurySteam wanted to do a remake/remaster of Fusion, but then they decided to change that decision by bringing Dread back instead and to help move the storyline forward. I'm glad they decided to make that move instead.

Let's be honest: the soundtrack during the wasp hive is one of the best ever made in gaming history. :) While the one during the Plated Beatle right after it has returned in Echoes.
It is still scary knowing the lore about Phazon, that it simply came from a meteorite that it does this kind of level of damage to the whole planet. All in an effort to remake the world, it crashed into another Phaaze and continued the process once again.
Original prime is old so if you played that one you have played this one an also this version is easier because new modern controls, would be harder with original gamecube controls.

Corrupted the chozos into undead violet spirits, ECT ECT, and then you fight in the leviathan. and find that 1 Metroid has evolved into the Metroid prime.

It’s not just a leviathan that evolved from a Metroid, it is the very source of Phazon, itself. I deduce that it’s the fully evolved form of a creature identified in Prime 3 as the ‘Phazon Seed’. It would only become Dark Samus because of its chance defeat and last ditch effort to survive by ripping the Phazon from Samus’ suit, as well as a sliver of her DNA.

Sadly the system YT is doesn't favor the average joe. At most there are always an outlier, but for people like BossRunner, myself and others, we are in a position where it's rigged against us. To find good stuff like this, you have to start digging.

did you leave out the fight against three chozo ghosts atop flaaghras remains where you get an artifact? thats usually considered a boss fight, despite the ghosts being regular enemies (like the sheegoth and plated beetle)
Let's say they aren't unique enemies, as you already did. But as far as I remember, the Elite Pirate is one for he only appears for getting the artifact.
Omega is actually quite squishy for a boss. Its just he has the troopers distracting you and he staggers quickly while regenerating his armor (and that can go rather fast uninterrupted) so long as you are quick on the draw and know how to manipulate his teleports to keep up the pressure he will go down easily in one round before getting armor back even once

You need to use the regular power beam (not wave, ice or plasma) to damage the chozo ghosts. Also note that color coordinated enemies like pirate troopers and fission metroids require beam switching for you to be able to damage them. 😌

All depends on Ridley's chosen attack animations once you enter his grounded phase. If you can slam him hard enough every opening to essentially stagger lock him, usually some of the statues can survive. But even after that, leaving and returning will remove all the statues to mark that you have the temple in the crater access state and not in the Ridley boss state

Not sure why anyone would think to use that rather inefficient weapon on ridley when usually the preferred options are charged plasma, super missiles, or rapid fire missiles. Wavebuster just doesn't do enough damage fast enough to really stagger lock ridley from what I recall let alone actually damage him fast enough to not run out of missiles before ending the fight
@Craig Funk you'll think so? In GC, I'll finish him in less than a minute, holding the Wave Buster nonstop. You'll have to start to charge the wave beam at the start of 2nd phase. Then, when Ridley starts to roar (before its rushing attack), release the wave buster right to its mouth and keep the lock on there so it goes back and forth from its chest to his mouth and hold the shooting button. It'll drain quickly the missiles but worthy to beat that way if you dont want to keep long it's second phase.
@@Spiderdragoon considering I fought him on remastered's 'normal' difficulty, which iirc is more in line with the GC version's veteran difficulty, it was taking along the line of a super missile's worth of damage to stagger ridley, so I don't think wavebuster would do enough damage fast enough to stagger him even on his longer openings. Unless you are specifically on the lowest difficulty

Why Chozo Ghost missing? I cant seem to damage it at all
You need to use the regular power beam (not wave, ice or plasma) to damage the chozo ghosts.
Also note that color coordinated enemies like pirate troopers and fission metroids require beam switching for you to be able to damage them. 😌

can a chozo statue be saved during meta ridley fight?
All depends on Ridley's chosen attack animations once you enter his grounded phase. If you can slam him hard enough every opening to essentially stagger lock him, usually some of the statues can survive. But even after that, leaving and returning will remove all the statues to mark that you have the temple in the crater access state and not in the Ridley boss state
@Craig Funk Can the Wave Buster nonstop combo still works after the remake? Only in 2nd phase.
@@Spiderdragoon wavebuster on ridley? Not sure why anyone would think to use that rather inefficient weapon on ridley when usually the preferred options are charged plasma, super missiles, or rapid fire missiles. Wavebuster just doesn't do enough damage fast enough to really stagger lock ridley from what I recall let alone actually damage him fast enough to not run out of missiles before ending the fight
@Craig Funk you'll think so? In GC, I'll finish him in less than a minute, holding the Wave Buster nonstop. You'll have to start to charge the wave beam at the start of 2nd phase. Then, when Ridley starts to roar (before its rushing attack), release the wave buster right to its mouth and keep the lock on there so it goes back and forth from its chest to his mouth and hold the shooting button. It'll drain quickly the missiles but worthy to beat that way if you dont want to keep long it's second phase.
@@Spiderdragoon considering I fought him on remastered's 'normal' difficulty, which iirc is more in line with the GC version's veteran difficulty, it was taking along the line of a super missile's worth of damage to stagger ridley, so I don't think wavebuster would do enough damage fast enough to stagger him even on his longer openings. Unless you are specifically on the lowest difficulty
