Wow! those are fantastic! I love the way the mirror support is a continuation (or is it a premonition) of the scoop on the rear quarter. Very nice original design work. Any iAmerican car manufacturers have been working diligently to design and build cars that truly capture the essence of automotive excellence. However, it is unfortunate that some may find the design of these cars less aesthetically pleasing. Despite the challenges faced, the hard work put into crafting these vehicles should not be overlooked. It is important to remember that the art of car design is a complex process that requires time and expertise. While some may argue that the results may fall short, it is essential to acknowledge that the American automotive industry continues to strive for innovation and improvement.
G'day from West Australia😉 Thanks for sharing these builds. Keeps me motivated towards my true passion, and indeed training.40 plus years trade life. First part doing what I love, building via coachbuilding skills. Last 20 odd doing the hum drum work. A couple of months ago I started rebuilding a car originally built in 12 days in 2005. Yeeep stupid, it did help a young fella straighten out his life sooo that was good. The car weeeellll not so much.😊🙄😄😀🤣 So full rebuild of a car with the motor behind front cross member. Yep mid mount. Not a road car for sure, a race car, absolutely. Take my hat off to you both Nick. ( old school sign of respect from a world long gone). Thanks again for sharing🙂👍👍
As long as people enjoy watching what goes on a the shop we have much more on the way. I really appreciate your support Sir! And your project sounds really interesting!!! Could I trouble you for a few photos? info@invisionprototypes.com Thank you!
@@iNVisionPrototypes Would'nt be any trouble. I can send you what it looked like after 12 days. And what it currently looks like, a messy work in progress🤣😀😄🙄😊 Might see if I can find a couple of picture of what the standard car looked like when factory built in 1979.😉 Cheers for the interest👍👍 As a side note this time round it's still a no budget build, just scrap metal and determination to create a fun car. Thanks again Nick😉👍👍
I'm so glad you did R2, it looks so much better proportioned. It would pass as a "real" production car. The first one is an amazing achievement, but looks a bit weird. No offense meant. ❤❤😂
Non taken, I'm with you on the 'weird' haha! Too many great memories to cut it up though and people love it at shows or when they see it on the street. Thanks for watching!
Hi Nick, it's great to see your old photos and the hammer n dolly finishes Instead of the wheel. I do t have an English wheel and so it's all hammer n dolly. You dont see many finishes without the wheel so once again, you inspire the heck out of me. Back to the mgb once I've finished my cup of tea. By the way I wonder if an xjs bonnet can squeeze onto my project😂 . Joe
Those pics were taken with a 35mm camera that used actual film 🤣 How times have changed! As for the finish a lot more planishing that took place after that photo was taken.(and those fins @_@ .... where eliminated) Absolutely nothing wrong with working a panel using a hammer and dolly, just takes a little more time. If you watched me frenching the headlights on the '51 Shoebox I used a "strike 'n slide" technique with the wide faced hammer on the rings to give them a smoother finish. I'm sure you have a slapper/spoon - they help a lot. (If anyone is reading this comment and wants to see how to make one you can see a few photos on my facebook page facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.263247900385292&type=3) As for the xjs bonnet, I'm sure if you had one and did a little nipping/tucking/blending it could be made to work with the one the MGB. Thanks for watching!
I do use the strike and slide and often have a laugh to my self saying "who needs a wheel" but boy does my shoulder hurt at the end of a session. Thanks for the link on the slapper and.... there is a classic jag dpevialist just down the road from me, hummm? 👍🏻😖😁

It is important to remember that the art of car design is a complex process that requires time and expertise. While some may argue that the results may fall short, it is essential to acknowledge that the American automotive industry continues to strive for innovation and improvement.
Thanks for watching!
G'day from West Australia😉
Thanks for sharing these builds.
The car weeeellll not so much.😊🙄😄😀🤣
So full rebuild of a car with the motor behind front cross member.
And what it currently looks like, a messy work in progress🤣😀😄🙄😊
Might see if I can find a couple of picture of what the standard car looked like when factory built in 1979.😉
Cheers for the interest👍👍
As a side note this time round it's still a no budget build, just scrap metal and determination to create a fun car.
Thanks again Nick😉👍👍
That's awesome! Thanks 😀@@steveveness3829
@@iNVisionPrototypes Will see if I can put it all together in the next couple of day's. Sigh paid work first before fun🙄😊😀
@@steveveness3829 So true! Get to it whenever you can. 🤝
Great stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
There's a good dose of Aston Martin V8 Vantage (from the 70's). *compound curves btw
I've heard that as well.
This bring me when Connaught type was released..
Hi Nick, it's great to see your old photos and the hammer n dolly finishes
Instead of the wheel.
WOW !
Exceptional talent. Nice looking car❤,l.
Thank!!
GREAT work gentlemen! What is involved when registering and insuring a custom built vehicle in Ontario? Thank you.
Thanks! Best thing would be to have an in person chat with a rep at Service Ontario and call around to some insurance companies for that information.
The second design 😍 😲 omg

Someone has finally executed Homer Simpson’s car designs flawlessly - low and behold ladies and gentlemen, ‘the Homer’ a car for the “average” American.
AMEN brother! Thanks for watching and don't forget to share this video with your friends.
I hope to design and build my own supercar like you did
Cool! Check out some of my other build videos to see some of what's involved. All the best!
