shouts to the drummer because his drums are on point alongside these Dilla grooves
+Metro Library Music yeah not to mention Dilla drums are insane! ^^
that's right
word
Bassman and drums so locked in with the dj, dam
AJ Jenkins on the drums, Charleston’s own, we are so happy that you appreciate his contribution to the performance, he is incredible!
People need to understand the greatness of this album. Every song from start to finish had a message to the listener. We listened to a man go through the stages of death and the emotions that come with it.
so what you’re saying is he knew he was going to die very soon when he made the album ?
right as you said this i skipped to his track Stop which samples “is death real”
@@EASFromTheWest yes absolutely. It's his personal living eulogy. The album itself is an infinite loop meaning the last track goes right into the first track. So in essence the last album he completed is the continuous circle of life. It technically does not end. He died 3 days after the release.
@@EASFromTheWest actually in Stop, the main sample is Dionne Warwick "You're Gonna Need Me". Also Dilla is actually stretching a sample of Jadakiss's words said in his song "Why" with Anthony Hamilton. Kiss is saying "It's that real". Dilla stretches the words to sound like "Is Death Real?"
@@EASFromTheWestyes he made the album while in hospital
I love when hip-hop is it's truest element ..

GOBSTOPPAAAAAaaaaa!! one of my favorite Dilla joints from Donuts!!
I only just realised J Dilla has made one of the best indie tracks of all time in "Workin' on it"
very beautiful. jay changed my life
Groundbreaking album, amazing job recreating the Dilla sound/feel in live situation. That’s very difficult complicated music, everyone did there part time bring the music to life. Im a drummer so I really appreciated how the drummer here kept so tight with the bass player. They were both terrific, very cohesive to give the music its trademark lope/swing feel.
Tears...only tears.....of JOY, and sadness..so much respect for your tribute. It is BEAUTIFUL
man audience... great times
I discovered Dilla just a couple of weeks ago. He is my new musical hero.
3 years later and I guarantee you haven't heard em all... lol

Концовка с гитарой волшебная
Yes the ending of the medley is so pretty, Lee Barbour is incredible and his interpretation of the guitar parts really blossomed in this performance!
This version is nice, good work integrating all the elements - if you could release this out of a studio minus the crowd noise that'd be great🔮✨✌️
this needs the crowd to give it the true vibe
Crazy. I hear Frank Zappa from the "Tinseltown Rebellion" album!
Suave ¡
Anyone know what snare the drummer's using? Sounds incredible!
the crowd is such a BT
I'm curious to know what happened to this band. I saw no recent uploads.

Jesus look at that drummer...
I wouldn't want to get on his bad side.
Nice upload...too bad the soundman wasnt up to the task. Should've gotten the guy from tiny desk concerts...this would go down in history!
There’s a difference between recording in a club and an office, just in case you were unaware
this is awesome
