That's the best-looking front fascia of any of the new Mustangs. Love the hood. Honestly for 170 grand they couldn't have put a Cobra on the steering wheel.🤯
As a Shelby GT500 owner and Team Shelby member I can say that all this is is a heavily modified gt mustang. You'll loose a lot of money if you ever sell it because it's not a true born Shelby mustang.
For those of us who are over 50 and have learned and love manual transmission driving ... Thank you Mr. Shelby for creating this dream beauty that only sadly few can enjoy ... I know it's not just money that motivates you, it's the perfection of the art of a sports car ... Thank you ... Thank you very much ...

Problem with other options in that price range simply that they do not have a manual transmission. Folks thinks its crazy but shifting makes you feel very powerful.
And he said 170k CAD that’s almost 50k more than it would be in USD. Definitely worth it as it would hold its value a lot more than the already valuable GT500
I think I get it now. I was always confused on the Shelby Super Snake, the GT500, and the GT500 Super Snake. I thought they were all the same thing. Correct me if I'm wrong. The SSS is a regular Mustang GT sent off to Shelby which isn't "Ford Factory". The GT500 is stock from the factory. And the GT500 Super Snake is factory but sent off to Shelby to make it even faster.
The 2014 super snake is still the best car long gears and the 5.8 besides being built for speed it's reliable you don't hear a lot of complaints except the interior. And the 14 super snake is still 100k... And is my all time dream, but I'm happy with my S550
This is an amazing car and to be honest the price tag is justified by the insane amount of labor involved to make it. Could you find a faster car for cheaper sure but like most actual shelby's in time it will be worth WAY more than you paid for it
No this is a waste for the money. A RTR spec 3 is a legitimately a better car for 23k above base price. Even with a fully speced gt, the price would be 85k max. Exactly. A 200% markup just for mods is ridiculous for any car, let alone a Mustang. Imagine buying a Corvette Stingray for $60k, then dumping another $120k (i.e., *two* more Corvettes) into it just to have *one* ZR1-caliber Corvette. And just like a ZR1, a Dodge Viper ACR or GTS will not only give you essentially the same performance, but it’ll let you pocket $50k on top of this Mustang too. Or hell, go nuts and buy a used European exotic. You can get a proper, well-kept Lamborghini Mercy or Ferrari 458 reasonably close to that neighborhood. I’m confident you’ll have way more fun in one of those than a juiced-up Mustang. Personally, I’d go with a C-7 ZR1 and nearly $50k in my pocket. A stock ZR1 would handle this Shelby SS all day.
The reason the Mustang steering isn’t as sharp as a Camaro or like the Gt350R is why the Mustang sells more than the Camaro, a lot more. It’s great for people that understand and can handle it but that quick sharp steering is more than most people like. Same with the complaints about the soft rear end, other than the R. It’s got great bones in the rear and double ball joint set up in the front. That’s not very comfortable on the road tho for most of the people that drive these since most drive on the road, not the track. That’s a lot of money tho. Needs a shelby horn cover at least

Uuuuu as much as I love Shelby and appreciate his influence in the car world...for literally half the price you can get a Saleen s302 Black Label with the same power and track capabilities with a proper supercar-like interior 😬
What a shame.. that thing, although manual, doesn't even measure up to the GT500. For starters, the GT500... with every available option... will run $106K. That's with all the carbon fiber, and even the painted racing stripes. After paying some BS mark up, you can get it cheaper than this SuperSnake. A SuperSnake that misses the mark. No carbon wheels, 4S tires, non functional wing, no strut tower brace, no active exhaust (from what we could see), no B&O sound system... and to top it off a Pony for an airbag... and a Pony key fob. If you ask me... the price on this thing should be about $80K and that's pushing it. (I'm a GT350 owner for the record... so probably some bias in my opinion)
PaulCYC_ MTB it’s so over price especially for something not even from a manufacturer, Dallas performance offers a 900hp mustang for half the price of this.
@@BMWROYAL Agree. The fact these guys track the cars makes up for the soft way they talk lol. Good content
There are so many other options out there for 170k. Tje steering would be a big negative for me. I love tight steering and why they put a mustang instead of a super snake on the steering wheel is beyond me.
I would like to see this on a track vs the new gt500 carbon package. I feel like it’s not worth $40k more for a lesser technologically advanced car.
Would it be possible to upload the images of the Shelby in the end of the video! They look amazing and would make a great wallpaper
I think the appeal of this car isn’t the comparison to others on paper, but just the brutal HP and terrifying driving experience.
I’m a Chevy guy! Love the LS plat form! But I’ve always wanted a GT500!
7:33 “a Cum stang” 😂😂😂
9:24 Ultimate millennial statement: 'I did two tours in Vietnam' ;-D
Funny because it's your generation that's always bitching
Uuuuu as much as I love Shelby and appreciate his influence in the car world...for literally half the price you can get a Saleen s302 Black Label with the same power and track capabilities with a proper supercar-like interior 😬
ROLF that intro was epic. haha
Honestly, I think the majority of this purported cost is coming from the performance dealership that's doing the work, and the fact that there's going to be a very limited amount of these built. That said, it's still just a 5.0 with a bunch of mods... not even hardly worth $100K... let alone $170K.
PaulHD_ CYC mine as well get a 1971 gt500 euroshelby or a 1967 gt500 convertible
