I really can't understand playing trippier on the left every game when we have someone as good as Gordon sitting on the bench and hasn't played 1 second
I think you should judge Kane on his last 3 performances, he looks knackered & hasn't affected the game, get Watkins or Toney in & Super Sub Kane around 70 mark
Alan saying The Dutch only came 3rd in their group, they beat Poland, should've beaten France, unlucky with that goal disallowed, and the Austria game was just a great game, could've went either way they battered Romania, beat a good Turkish team, saying they haven't played a "big gun", England have played Serbia, Denmark, Slovenia,Slovakia, Switzerland hardly world powerhouses Netherlands have scored 9 goals to England's 5, The Dutch should be favourites on that form
Gotta take in account that the Dutch had to leave 5 (potential) midfielders home with injuries : Frenkie de Jong, Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners and Marten de Roon. and 2 Feyenoord players Quinten Timber and Mats Wiefer (now Brighton) are all injured ! With the midfielders Reijnders, Schouten and Veerman, they have just 24 caps between them ( with many as subs..) ! There are a lot of 'new' players that still needed to fit in like Xavi Simons (had to play wing in stead of '10' ) , Jeremie Frimpong ( a revelation at Bayer Leverkusen, but Dumfries has always been great in the NL team) , Micky van der Ven, Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee , Ajax Bryan Brobby ... There was a lot of puzzling what works best for the team ... Koeman still relies a lot on Memphis Depay , who was often injured the past 2 seasons ..
Questions for Gary, Alan & Micah. "Would England players discuss their club team mates weaknesses when playing against them at international level, even though this would give his England team mates an advantage in the coming Premier season?" eg Trent discussing VVD or Gakpo...
3 at the back push Stones forward Guehi/Konsa or in the middle on the right Walker left Shaw mid field Rice pushed forward right Saka Left Foden 10 Kane with Watkins and Toney up front

Hoping we give Shaw a run out for as long as possible from kick-off and then move Saka to the left if Shaw can't manage the 90 minutes. I think Kane gets many more chances if we're willing to swing in crosses from both sides.

Have I missed something. What has Foden done to get these plaudits for his performance against Switzerland. I was baffled by the HT analysis and I still am. @@Piqueblinders11Metronome? Lol he’s playing number 10, he’s not Xavi. And he created zero chances in the game and was dispossessed NINETEEN times. He had an absolute nightmare.
Nothing wrong with Kane, yet literally it was like having a back 4 for most of the game. English media are a joke they slate Ronaldo but Kane is contributing nothing to games. Wake up and see it or get battered by the Dutch.
Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are natural goal scorers, especially Mbappe. I don't understand why Mbappe isn't a striker. He would surely be scoring more goals if he played as a striker and who doesn't like scoring goals.
Toney to start would be my personal preference. He will make runs, he will press, he’s physically more of a presence than Kane, obviously he didn’t play a full season so he’s more fresh, I think he only returned from suspension in the middle of January so to me it’s a bit of a no brainer to start him, give Kane a rest. Southgate won’t do it though because England managers have a real hang up about Captains and dropping them. I don’t understand why we appoint permanent captains. Just appoint a Captain on a match by match basis and that gives you the freedom to drop one, or give it to the Goalkeeper

I really can't understand playing trippier on the left every game when we have someone as good as Gordon sitting on the bench and hasn't played 1 second
One is a full-back ……
He played on the right in the last game
@@Doctorjesus1982no he didn’t. The broadcast lineup was incorrect. Trippier started at LWB
He played 5 minutes (ish) against Slovenia in the group stages. Was very good too.
Southgate should of tried it he could play LWB
I think you should judge Kane on his last 3 performances, he looks knackered & hasn't affected the game, get Watkins or Toney in & Super Sub Kane around 70 mark
I see big meaks with that Friday quote! My neck and my back! 😂
Brilliant podcast episode. Best of all watching the couple in the background, wetting themselves at the show being recorded 🤣
Gordon can get past defenders, why has he had only 4 minutes of play the whole tournament
Fantastic banter and the best euros show to listen to. Nice to hear what they get up to as well, 😀.Keep it going boys. Come on England.
Kane has obviously been a brilliant player and still is, but he does not suit this setup and deserves to be dropped,.
Questions for Gary, Alan & Micah.
"Would England players discuss their club team mates weaknesses when playing against them at international level, even though this would give his England team mates an advantage in the coming Premier season?"
eg Trent discussing VVD or Gakpo...
Southgate will start and keep Kane on unless he gets "injured". VVD will have a field day against that statue.
Tony needs to come in atleast straight after half. Kane seems burnt out.
I love this channel folks….❤
3 at the back push Stones forward Guehi/Konsa or in the middle on the right Walker left Shaw mid field Rice pushed forward right Saka Left Foden 10 Kane with Watkins and Toney up front
Gary talking about how Walker is “so good defensively”
Please. Hes been shocking this whole tournament.
If Southgate was smart, he’d play Gomez at RB cause he trains against Gakpo every day.
Alan's changed his tune on penalties, he was the main proponent of the well trawled out phrase "penalties's are a lottery". Although it would be better if Alan could have said with a Brummie accent. :)
Micah with the sunglasses and a peak cap..... indoors, are the lights that bright or is Micah completely hung over?
I beleive this with every fibre in my body. Start Watkins and finish with Kane and/or Toney.
I fucking love Micah's energy. Man it would be a blast to have a drink with him.
Alan return to managing, the strikers at the moment need help apart from kane, hardly any 20 goals strikers
Yeah I'm worried about that ref.. how the hell has he got a game as big as this especially with Bellingham involved
Does seem like an obvious conflict of interest
That's fine, when we get knocked out we can use the biased ref excuse...
@@jasoncallow860 how about we don't use such a referee for such a big game especially when Bellingham basically called him corrupt... it's ridiculous...we could've avoided all this!
Start : Pickford- Shaw konsa stones walker / Gordon bellingham rice saka/ watkins toney... there you have it
Micha blatantly wanted to switch back to Spain when Gary chose them 😂
Where can I watch the bbc v itv pundits game?
3421, Shaw, Stones, Walker~ Gordon, Rice, Mainoo, Saka~ Foden, Bellingham~Kane.
I imagine the three of you with a guest star... Paul Gascoigne. It looks hilarious in my head 😄
If not the best, then one of the best goals I've ever seen is his one against Scotland in 96. And if not the best, certainly my favourite.
Zirkzee could be the surprise for everyone the dutch fans want him starting
One thing overlooked about france is they have been creating the chances but the attackers have been crap at finishing them. Mbappe, griezmann, rabiot, kolo muani, thuram have all missed sitters. It's not like the ronaldo situation
The best English goalscorer Kane over anyone. One chance. He scores.
Whos matey with his feet up and his misses just chilling behind micah the entire pod?😂
With all respect to Kane, a legend. I would like to see Watkins get a go.
Anyone else save these videos for when they sit on the toilet ?
Kane should be used if England go to penalties again. Otherwise he is just hampering the attack as he’s not as quick to get in behind. Toney would be better to start with
I'm guessing it will be Gareth Southgate v Didier Deschamps in the final. A European Cup trophy awarded without either team doing something as foolhardy as firing a shot on target in a 0-0 game.
Once Micah takes France, I know it'll be Spain for me!!!
Kane would be a great "plan B striker". Bring him on with 20 minutes to go when England need a goal and they need a man in the box.
Yes… as long as he is in the box and not on the half way line
His own box?
@@lukemclellan2141 Southgate shouldn't allow him to set foot on England's own half...
Great episode as usuall, guys!
Hoping we give Shaw a run out for as long as possible from kick-off and then move Saka to the left if Shaw can't manage the 90 minutes. I think Kane gets many more chances if we're willing to swing in crosses from both sides.
Micah’s deafness (shouting all the time), Gary’s nasal polyps (congested voice) and Alan’s shine (baldy head)…..feels like an NHS waiting room 👀
Le Normand born in France, has dual French and Spanish nationality.
When Toney is alienated upfront alone then it'll click. Our midfield don't create ANYTHING. The penny will drop further when Toney is a tad wasteful and you'll realise Kane would have buried em all.
Gordon on the left, Palmer on the right and Watkins up front. It's easy
lane might not be doing much himself but he does undeniably takes focus away from defenders. regardless if he’s on form or not, there will always be someone near him
Have I missed something. What has Foden done to get these plaudits for his performance against Switzerland. I was baffled by the HT analysis and I still am. He has been extremely average all tournament. If any other player played the way Foden did this tournament they'd be clamour to get him replaced
You clearly don’t understand football then. Do you not know what a metronome is?
Exactly he's been shit media bang on about him like he's messi it's a joke aha
@@Piqueblinders11Metronome? Lol he’s playing number 10, he’s not Xavi. And he created zero chances in the game and was dispossessed NINETEEN times. He had an absolute nightmare.
Nothing wrong with Kane, yet literally it was like having a back 4 for most of the game. English media are a joke they slate Ronaldo but Kane is contributing nothing to games. Wake up and see it or get battered by the Dutch.
If you hate English media then stop watching English media.
Top pod cast
Come on England
Time to start playing 🎉😮
where can i watch the bbc vs itv match?
On channel 4
Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are natural goal scorers, especially Mbappe. I don't understand why Mbappe isn't a striker. He would surely be scoring more goals if he played as a striker and who doesn't like scoring goals.
Keane showed up for the match but shearer was elsewhere lol
Big Meeks cheeky Friday reference 😂😂😂 hero
Timestamp? 😂
Anyone know where to find this bbc vs itv football match ?
loving micah’s watch collection through out the euros
Toney to start would be my personal preference. He will make runs, he will press, he’s physically more of a presence than Kane, obviously he didn’t play a full season so he’s more fresh, I think he only returned from suspension in the middle of January so to me it’s a bit of a no brainer to start him, give Kane a rest.
Southgate won’t do it though because England managers have a real hang up about Captains and dropping them. I don’t understand why we appoint permanent captains. Just appoint a Captain on a match by match basis and that gives you the freedom to drop one, or give it to the Goalkeeper
''I said they would win and theyve won, how can that be f*cking lucky''.. Alan Shearer 2024 5:30
Gary you Dont erm on these pods. It's refreshing. On TV you erm every sentence.
