I finished the whole workout on my 2nd attempt. Some key tips for newbies that really helped me: 1. It's okay to rest longer than she does. Studies show the best rest period is the minimum amount of time needed to complete your set. If you find her rest periods aren't long enough, pause the video and finish the set at your own pace. 2. It's okay to back up the video, actually I recommend it. Watch the full exercise back it up and then start the exercise. 3. Get a mirror and something to prop up your phone. Check your posture regularly. It may even help to record yourself and review it later. I hope this helps someone! Enjoy your life and enjoy yourself.

I am 68. I added the ball to my 1.5-2 hour workout 4 days ago. Man, it is hard to balance. But I can see my balance is improving. It's fun doing it though.

Good workout. I just suffered a miscarriage at 12 weeks three weeks ago. This is the first exercising that I have done as I was high risk pregnancy and was told not to exercise. I will say there’s quite a few moves. I could not do because I’m simply not strong enough and definitely out of shape. However, I’m thinking I’m going to do this a few times a week to help build up at four.
I did it in a hallway, and the walls saved me a few times. One of the moves when you lay with your back on the ball and walk the ball in and out, the ball rolled and I ended up landing on my head. 😊
for the knee-chest with feet on ball, if the back and neck with head set on table completely flat, isn’t this exercise a lot harder? And also doesn’t this work the Abs primarily in order to move the ball towards you? Or my PT really sucks because it made my core work the hardest for this

I have spinal stenosis and spondylolesthesis in my lumbar spine so any exercises requiring me to lay on my back and moving my legs away from torso is not wise to do. What do you suggest I do instead?

Elizabeth, as a Pilates Teacher, I personally like the thicker mats for more padding on the spine and hips. There are many on Amazon or at Target if you want to touch and feel. Happy shopping!

This workout was a great introduction to using the exercise ball. I felt the burn in all the right places.
