I didn't see the thrust get set and there was no mention of the most vital part when going to studs, maybe the machine shop checked, align honed and set the clearances. If so I would throw a mention in the video to educate others, when going to studs from bolts it distorts the main bores enough to throw clearances out of spec. Good luck with the build/car, the performance world is a huge addiction.

That’s a decent amount of assembly lube if you’re running .250 clearance on the mains. If you were running .0025-.0035, all that lube squeezed out of the sides.

The crankshaft should have been spurn to check rotation.

Have you checked main cap bearing clearance before installation?

Hey brother, is this block painted Ford Corporate Blue? I like that color.

It’s actually about 7 layers of Dupli-color metal cast over standard engine primer

That is a awesome color. I am working on my first Ls swap. I found a Ls3 block for $500 and a set of low mileage 821 heads for $300 so that kinda picked my engine for me lol. Otherwise it would have been a 6 OH. It's going in a 03' Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I love how the Vics ride and perform. It's just the engine is way too expensive to get 500 horse out of it reliable without dumpping alot of money on it. So Ls it is. I don't care what's under the hood as long as it's reliable and has some POWAH!!! Lol.

@@GrandPitoVic That's awesome! Sounds like its gonna be a ripper! Those crown vic chassis do handle extremely well, but like you said its hard/expensive to get any power out of those 4.6 motors. You'll be amazed at how much room you'll gain in the engine bay with an LS. Plenty of room for turbos in the future lol
