wow. now I understand how to build a mass spectrometer. (and I feel like keanu Reeves narrated it for me) well done. I see everyone else here appreciates your method of explication. I think you really got something going here neo.
What if our y-axis uses particle count not percentages? I'm guessing that I would replace 100 by the highest value in my sample, not sure if that's correct. I need this for my homework!
Hi, I understand that the true (non-relative) masses of atoms are calculated with a mass spectrometer. using this relationship: Centripetal Force = Force due to magnetic field(B) But i was wondering how masses of atoms were calculated before the mass spectrometers were invented.
If you had a compound, like a drop of blood and you turned it to vapor, you could determine the elements and their proportions in that volume? Is that so?
FINALLY someone who explained it simply, thank you!
This is the best and simplest explanation of all time. Thank you so much!!!

Hi. 9 years later
Great way of explaining something so complicated in an easy way. Thanks for the Vid!
This is a great video. I will be sharing it with my IB Chemistry HL1 students in Michigan, USA. Thanks for your work!
Best simple video ever! Thank you!
those two examples are so easily explained, thanks a million bro
interesting! thank you for the best explanation!
Great video💯
Holy cow this explanation actually made sense. Thank you!

Thank you Sir.
Awesome!
thank you for elaborating on its applications
the most helpful explanation out there, thank you for this!
Thanks, your video is very helpful !
Thank you!
Such a good video!
9 years later and I am still watching this. Legendary.
Okay now we can build a mass spectrometer at home and cause a Resonance Cascade lol.
I LOVE U SM OMGGG FINALLY I UNDERSTOOD IT
Thanks for explaining
Thank you!
So do the 85 and 87 isotopes of the rubidium sample exist in the same sample simultaneously?
I appreciate
Great Video !!!

When my teacher explained this in my class it was like an unknown language for me but now I got the idea thanks
talking less helping more 😂
nice video very helpful
My chemistry teacher told me to watch this the school system is broken
He told you that because children have different ways to learn. Maybe you learned better from this video
Your teacher lead you to knowledge. Doesn't seem broken
Very good and simple explanation thanks man!!!!

Thank you sir
Thanks for this great video! I'm in IB chemistry and this really helped further my understanding!
it is understandable
