    Nice job Harvey that really long 10 mm bolt that really sucks when you forget to put that thing in and you have to pull out the cam again.😂

    Agreed. If this was your only bike you might get a wee bit more thorough with the refresh but in your case its not like your in short supply so not smoking is better than smoking and fixed is fixed

    Hahaha I forgot to put that bolt by the cam in after I had my whole motor back in the frame! I learned the hard way

    I gotta do a top end job on my atc200s. It's burning oil and has timing chain noise. Do you have a video showing how the timing chain guides go together?

    Can you please show you actually timing the motor and installing the cam.

      Nope, he explains everything over and over and works with 1 hand holding the camera with the other. Never will generally ever...set it down pointed at the arena where he could show you the steps, or a camera head strap.. anything allowing 2 hands and thorough steps is pretty much out 😆. But he'll explain everything with 1 hand holding and the other touching everything, again and again.. you'll get it eventually... maybe..😆

    Hey Harvey I picked up a 88 Honda fourtrax 200sx and I found out the stator cover was busted so I took it off welded it up nice and put it back on with a new gasket changed the oil and all that but now that I got it all back toghere it runs and pulls over but if you give it a little gas while pulling it rips the cord out of your hand like it has to much compression any ideas things dangerous when it pulls back lol

    You indicated that the piston should not have any movement once installed on the crankshaft. It should have some left to right movement as the piston slides on the wristpin, correct?

    Neaver place ring gaps towards front or back of piston,it gouges sleeve

    • @dukatiwho
      @dukatiwho 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just fyi, they move around as the engine runs. It doesn’t matter where you put the gaps at all

    What did you use to compress the rings to reistall piston into the bore?

    Fingers crossed 🤞 start on first try ! Harvey I might be coming out to New York in the middle of July and was wondering if there is something you might want or need or would like to trade for ? If so give me a wish list and I’ll see what I can get together from here that you might want .

    This is very cool. Love it. Thanks but I have a little question. When one measures the pistons where do we measure at with the mic?
    Also on my little boys Honda XR50 motorcycle his pet cock is leaking. I’m thinking the seal is bad but they list several different sizes on eBay. How do I mic it to see what size I have? Thanks for helping if you can.

    Hi Harvey, thanks from South Africa for another ATC Video! I have been using your videos as a guide in doing a top-end rebuild of my 1983 185S but have hit a stumbling block, hoping you can help. I have no spark (tried two new GY6/Chinese CDI's) but not sure what the problem is - I have done a video cranking it with multimeter readings hoping you can have a look at give me any suggestions?
