I’m glad my XM4s are still holding up, I enjoy the GOD tier noise canceling. ESPECIALLY in ANC and battery!!
@@DopeBoysofatlanta idk bout that, there’s a lot of sound coming out of the XM4s. I also not a big fan of how some to even most are in a V shaped sound profile and it’s overall not a natural sound. In terms of bass yeah they ain’t the bassist but forsure they aren’t low on volume, and also have a MID sound presences that’s apparent when actually listening to them
@@BenNicholls well if you want “dead silence”, I can say they can hit “dead silence” for me especially when it comes to wind noise. High sounds not so much tbh. But I can’t speak for all pairs or expectations but I just hope they at least sound great. Personally, I do notice to difference. It’s a “suck the air out” kind of hearing at first.
So I figured out he issue with using each earbud independently. And I know this is going to sound dumb, but trust me this is how it is I've tested it multiple times. So if you have your assistant set to Google assistant or Alexa you can only use whatever earbud is set to bring up your assistant by itself. You can't use the opposite earbud by itself. And I even tried setting both earbuds to use playback controls so that you can technically bring up the assistant with either ear bud but it's still only works in one earbud. The only way to be able to use each earbud independently is to just leave the assistant set to the default assistant in the settings.
My LinkBuds S had that software glitch that didn't let me use the left side by itself. I had to reset mine for it to work correctly. Has something to do with the new "auto play" and "service link" modes. You turn any of that on and you lose the single use feature on the left side.
you have to turn off the auto play ("Auto Play (Beta).") feature to listen to the buds independently for those who may be having trouble. It wad a tested feature on review units i believe.
Just got these for $158 during prime day. I have the xm4's, buds pro and buds 2 also and these fit wise blow them out of the water. Definitely the small package I was looking for without skimping too much on the hardware/features. If you can get these on sale I highly recommend.
Yeah so a bit of a shame on the price, you're right. These are kind of like they could be your everydays but then you might still need some headphones or something when you want to feel that bass slapping against your ear, but for $300 (here in aus) that kind of money is what you pay for your main boys when you don't need a 2nd pair. Looks-wise man these are fucking clean though. I love that matt black look and how it fits right in your ear, if these DIDN'T have the robotic transparency, shit - I'd be all over buying these just for zoom meetings.
The Soundcore LP3 are the GOAT for zoom meetings just due to the mic and multipoint. Take a zoom call and then take a phone call right after. Can't beat that for the 130 price tag.
You should make a video showing us what tech you take on a vacation/trip, would be interesting to see what pair of headphones you take of the hundreds you have
I got the XM4 thanks to you and I'm still glad I did. Personally, I find the foam tips wore out quickly but getting rubber tips to fit cost almost nothing. The XM5 headphones will be next. Big love from Down Under!
Before I continue watching the whole video I will say, the Sony link buds s are actually pretty good, coming from someone who is extremely picky with earbuds these are good believe me, if you like bass then these are the ones, you just have to adjust the eq good, that being said, I will warn anyone who likes to blast your music loudly; these are fairly loud but, they get muddy & it seems like all the mids just get pushed forward so much & drown out the bass & that’s probably why some people think it doesn’t have a lot of bass, again just crank it at whatever volume you’ll always be at & adjust the eq
For the money... repeat for the money. Nothing beats this 18.00 Sounds Peats. No they don't have noise cancel but for the money they're the best buy on the market. I also have the good Sennheisers but for the money....

I liked the idea of the original link buds. Good transparency mode for the office and light weight earbuds. The fit of the original was a deal breaker for me. These seem better but I recently bought the LG tone earbuds after flossy’s video. I’ll rock with those for now.
Got the linkbud S (£120) and love them. So are so comfortable and light that I forget that nwearong them. The case is brilliantly small (not having wireless charging isn't an issue for me). I got the Technics AZ60 after watching your top earbuds video. I’ve tried all the major buds and man the technics are absolutely awesome. If money is unlimited I’d go with the B&W PI7, but for the price and size the technics are mind blowing. The only thing I do wish these had is wireless charging
Great review! This is exacly what i was looking for. I work as a cleaner and I wear my" in ear" every day 6-7 hours. So they need to be comfortable. I think i will buy linkbuds s! Thanks
Oh floss the ambient mode sounds a bit less robotic when you turn off focus on voice it’ll allow the low frequencies back in and the animation picture will show the car and the people! I hated that about my xm4’s until I realized
I like the bass and noise canceling on these and the phone quality is amazing the fit is amazing I love em Is very good sound very balanced I was inside a Starbucks and I had these on I couldn’t hear no noise it canceled most noise definitely must buy I’m telling u and about that independent use Floss go into the services thing and disable it and u will be able to use both earbuds independently
Hundred percent agree with you Floss I recently got them and transitioning from a $50 soundpeats earbuds the sound is trash compared to that. Now I can say they were able to make up somewhat with the ambient and anc feature and the app support. Plus I find that the touch controls compared to that earbud was very responsive. But the price for product doesn't match in my opinion when it comes to the Sony's if soundpeats were to catch up with their truengine 3se it wouldn't be much work needed to be done the only problem I really had with that earbud is the fit that's why I needed up with the sony's but now I regret paying so much for something mediocre considering the price I paid. The bottom line is if you paying over 150 for an earbuds the sound quality must have some standard and I dont think I this meets that standard especially when I can find a cheap earbuds that can play way better. I can even go as far as to compare these to my 1more Anc buds and the one more would kill it in sound quality.
Plus they advertise LDAC the funny thing is I'm using a Samsung galaxy s8 and everytime I click on LDAC and go back to music and then close settings and go back into settings it switches back AAC and in the sony app it doesn't even switch to LDAC in the first place. I dont know if I'm doing something wrong but y'all can help me in the comments if there is something I need to do.
XM4 are great no brainers but unless you can fit and handle the weight then there's no point. Also I got the Linkbuds S for $155 so definitely worth it.
I tried the Sony 1000xm4 ear buds and the noise cancelling is good but they are incredibly uncomfortable. The sound is okay even with LDAC. The Galaxy bud 2 pro after updates has near identical noise cancelling and they sound better especially after they added the eq. Another great pair of ear buds are the Soundcore liberty 3 pro but they don't have as good of noise cancelling as either of them.
The XM4’s were too big for my ears and stripped my skin raw but these are great I bought them on release and I use them for work 8-10 hours a day and sound very similar with a little less volume.
To be honest I kinda prefer the Whch710n headphones. Earbuds don't do anything for me. Although that being said the WFC500 earbuds do it for me and I highly recommend them. The only downsides to them (aside from losing em) is that there's no ambient sound or noise cancelling on deck.
I'm disappointed in the linkbuds s. I was hoping they'd have great transparency mode close to the 1st linkbuds. If a manufacturer can make something close to those with the bass like a normal in ear (at least like the c500) I'd get them even if they were over 300€
There is a setting that if you use the spacial setting or Google assistant it will not work in mono mode. But without those settings it can be played individually
Omg thank you for this info! It was the one thing nagging me. I'm used to having either L or R in my ears with my Samsung Buds 2 and wanted the same feature on my Link buds S 😅 You're awesome for sharing this trick!
Flossy i own the beats wireless power beats pro Got then bc you loved them I also bought the beats fit pro Best ear buds by far...bc you loved them I have the sony xm 3...bc you loved them I trust your judgment Will be few years before i buy any more headphones bc i feel i got the best of the 3 kinds that matter
Actually whoever said you can't play out of a single earbud was half right. If you have your assistant set up with the earbuds, then you can only listen to one earbud at a time. The left ear bud I believe, so if you put the left one in the case the right won't play. Weird, but I found this out after I set up Google Assistant then had to look up what the issue was.
Yo flossy u need to start using TIDAL rather than TH-cam music cuz then u can talk about 360 audio and playing every song on hifi for best results on Sony products
No multipoint in a Zoom meeting world? When will companies understand that people are jumping from listening to music on their phone to having to jump on a call on their pc? I'm tired of the leave video call, go into windows Bluetooth settings, disconnect from device, go on my phone reconnect to Bluetooth life.
well at least Pete was mentioned :p .. i actually like these i had to change the beats fit pro because i have them literallt all day and the beats fit start to hurt about after 2 hours so i went with these for an all day support and so far for this use its great
Yo Flossy I have spent the last 2 hours watching your reviews for wireless airbeds and I'm both educated and entertained!. I think I'm sold on the Sony LinkBuds S but what is the best HEAVY BASS ear buds? Thanks Bro!!!

@@FlossyCarter Quick question Flossy, I'm rockin the galaxy buds pro but having some issues with fit and ANC. Would you recommend I look at these linkbuds S for better noise cancellation? Cheers!
Imho, de OG linkbuds are business orientated earbuds. You dont listen music on these, if you do you need to be checked for some form of psycopathy. These are for listing to podcasts. The main feature of these are the mic when making phone calls. These have the best sounding mics of all headphones i tested. People wont even notice that you are one headphones. Thats the main reason i EDC them.
@@FlossyCarter True, but after the first go everybody will come to the same conclusion: don't waste your time on these for music. Except from a convenience standpoint. Everything else they actually shining man. Sony should had marketed them for anything else but music. They don't get the love they deserve because of the ANC crazz.
This what I’ve noticed with my wf-1000XM4. you can’t use only the left side if Alexa is enabled but when it’s not enabled in the Sony app then you can. I have an iPhone and I ran Into this issue. Maybe those linkbuds are the same way idk anyways great video flosss💯
I'm needing a little more reference for these. Seems like they generally compare to the Earfun Free Pro 2. Especially with claiming to be the lightest and smallest. $200 is a lot. There's some amazing earbuds out there for similar or less.

Thanks for sharing
Think you just crushed Pete's dream of being a TH-cam reviewer by calling him a noob. 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Even if I'm being to cheap to buy the product I still stay to watch the vid. Thanks floss 🤣
What would life be without Floss and his reviews? I don't even wanna know lol
I bought the senheiser sports and I’m pretty satisfied with them . I own three pairs of Sony earbuds. I don’t think I’m getting these
Great review!
My guy!!! I love these damn headphones lol first pair of Sonys that I’m actually keeping ✊🏾
Bought the linkbuds s. As usual quality product from Sony
It's great to see Flossy review Sony products! 👌 💪
It's true, no one wants to pay a lot of money for products that have a cheap felling...
@@curtisgrogan6106 what soundpeats model do u have

XM4 are great no brainers but unless you can fit and handle the weight then there's no point. Also I got the Linkbuds S for $155 so definitely worth it.
I tried the Sony 1000xm4 ear buds and the noise cancelling is good but they are incredibly uncomfortable. The sound is okay even with LDAC. The Galaxy bud 2 pro after updates has near identical noise cancelling and they sound better especially after they added the eq. Another great pair of ear buds are the Soundcore liberty 3 pro but they don't have as good of noise cancelling as either of them.
The linkbud S is so much more comfortable
Been waiting for Floss to review these to decide whether or not to buy them. Let's Go!
👍👍👍👍
The XM4’s were too big for my ears and stripped my skin raw but these are great I bought them on release and I use them for work 8-10 hours a day and sound very similar with a little less volume.
@@benjialex2084 Thanks for the real-world review.
To be honest I kinda prefer the Whch710n headphones. Earbuds don't do anything for me. Although that being said the WFC500 earbuds do it for me and I highly recommend them. The only downsides to them (aside from losing em) is that there's no ambient sound or noise cancelling on deck.
I need to upgrade my original galaxy buds and I thought about this one but if floss says they are ok, I’ll wait to see what the googles buds pro bring
@5:36 was not expecting that. Had me dyin
This Sony review makes me want to buy Senheiser.. Great stuff floss
Love to see the best loop around the ear Bluetooth wireless headset.
I'm disappointed in the linkbuds s.
I was hoping they'd have great transparency mode close to the 1st linkbuds.
If a manufacturer can make something close to those with the bass like a normal in ear (at least like the c500) I'd get them even if they were over 300€
Perfect review, light weight and comfortable, not the best sound but good enough.
just copped some for $60. great deal
There is a setting that if you use the spacial setting or Google assistant it will not work in mono mode. But without those settings it can be played individually
Thank you, had this problem
Omg thank you for this info! It was the one thing nagging me. I'm used to having either L or R in my ears with my Samsung Buds 2 and wanted the same feature on my Link buds S 😅 You're awesome for sharing this trick!
I just got multipoint on mine last night! Works perfectly!
Flossy i own the beats wireless power beats pro
Got then bc you loved them
I also bought the beats fit pro
Best ear buds by far...bc you loved them
I have the sony xm 3...bc you loved them
I trust your judgment
Will be few years before i buy any more headphones bc i feel i got the best of the 3 kinds that matter
When it comes to real purchasing... Bro I don't need the technical anything I need the real world results. I come here thank you
I appreciate the amount of cat-in-frame time you provided with this video
Who else can't wait to hear, I Love My White Shoes, I Love My White Shoes, White Shoes Calm Down!!!
Shoes at 2:40 killed me 🤣🥺🐈
Actually whoever said you can't play out of a single earbud was half right. If you have your assistant set up with the earbuds, then you can only listen to one earbud at a time. The left ear bud I believe, so if you put the left one in the case the right won't play. Weird, but I found this out after I set up Google Assistant then had to look up what the issue was.
Win or Lose is my sh*t! ALC killed that beat!
Yo flossy u need to start using TIDAL rather than TH-cam music cuz then u can talk about 360 audio and playing every song on hifi for best results on Sony products
Tidal is trash, They don't have my kinda music
@@FlossyCarter but u can see the 360 audio in there so you can give it try !
I already have Amazon music
@@devansh9437 c’mon bro what makes you think I never heard it 😂
No multipoint in a Zoom meeting world? When will companies understand that people are jumping from listening to music on their phone to having to jump on a call on their pc? I'm tired of the leave video call, go into windows Bluetooth settings, disconnect from device, go on my phone reconnect to Bluetooth life.
100%
Jabra or technics, even the liberty 3 pro, oneplus buds pro
I love ur energy xd, thanks for the review, I just bought them!
well at least Pete was mentioned :p .. i actually like these i had to change the beats fit pro because i have them literallt all day and the beats fit start to hurt about after 2 hours so i went with these for an all day support and so far for this use its great

I READ A RUMOR ON THE NET THAT SAID THE LINKBUDS S ARE MADE WITH XM4 PARTS
just got them and I love them. I work in a movie theater and the ANC kills all noise from the projectors(large exhaust fans).
Floss please compare these to the Pixel Buds Pro when they come out! I need that comparison from the realest!
Yo Flossy I have spent the last 2 hours watching your reviews for wireless airbeds and I'm both educated and entertained!. I think I'm sold on the Sony LinkBuds S but what is the best HEAVY BASS ear buds? Thanks Bro!!!
Did you get anything yet?
@@FlossyCarter I did I bought both the LinkBuds S and the Baseus MA10S and listened to both on my flight home to visit family in So Cal and was so disappointed in the Sonys... bass was OK but volume was not loud enough. I was very impressed with the Baseus especially for the price so kept them but I but I'll probably also get the JBLs which you say are very loud with great bass. Once again bro thanks for your vids!
You're a legend Flossy cheers mate!
Cheers bro

Unfortunately you can't say "don't listen to music on them" when Sony is clearly advertising them as "thunderous bass and eipc sound"
@@FlossyCarter True, but after the first go everybody will come to the same conclusion: don't waste your time on these for music. Except from a convenience standpoint. Everything else they actually shining man. Sony should had marketed them for anything else but music. They don't get the love they deserve because of the ANC crazz.
Awesome video flossy!!!!
Another amazing vid Floss
This what I’ve noticed with my wf-1000XM4. you can’t use only the left side if Alexa is enabled but when it’s not enabled in the Sony app then you can. I have an iPhone and I ran Into this issue. Maybe those linkbuds are the same way idk anyways great video flosss💯
Lmfao calling him out on the newbie lmfao to damn funny 🤣🤣🤣😅🤣 you are the truth flossy 👊🏾
I just got a pair of certified refurbished linkbuds S for $59 on eBay with 2 year warranty. I’m hoping I like them
What’s your thoughts on these with the new pricing
I just noticed that Flossy was listening to some Kay Flock. That’s how you know he’s a hardcore drill head from the heart New York.
👍👍👍👍👍
Floss check out the Astell&Kern AK UW100!!! Not a lot of TH-camrs are reviewing it. They sound amazing
What are the ear tips made from on the LinkBuds S?.
Flossy Carter, your review vids speaks the truth. That's why i like watching your videos.
I'm needing a little more reference for these.
Seems like they generally compare to the Earfun Free Pro 2. Especially with claiming to be the lightest and smallest.
$200 is a lot. There's some amazing earbuds out there for similar or less.
These are definitely better than the Earfun, way cleaner
Look at white shoes looking mad 😍
Actually the smallest earbuds with ANC are the 1More Comfobuds Mini
The best review on yt.
3:01 the doughnuts 😂😂😂
I think that you should test out some audiophile earbuds/headphones like some fiio earbuds because in my opinion they sound great.
