- Heart-pounding new drone footage shows the moment Ukrainian forces at the wheel of a US-built Bradley fighting vehicle blast a high-tech Russian tank to smithereens.
Video released by Kyiv’s 47th Mechanized Brigade shows the US-supplied vehicle hammering a Russian T-90 armored tank at close range in the town of Stepove in Donetsk - with the salvo disabling the target, according to a report from the UK’s Telegraph newspaper on Thursday.
After the Bradley’s guns disabled the tank, an armed drone moved in for the kill, the report said.
The crew of the heavy-duty Russian tank survived the initial barrage, but two were killed after fleeing the wreckage and a third was captured, the outlet reported.

If anyone hasn’t seen the update on this; the gunner thanked video games (possibly War Thunder) for helping him destroy it because he remembered where to shoot and the weak spots of the T-90 (that’s a rough recollection of his quote).

Just a reminder that when we're sending military aid to Ukraine, it's usually not a big pile of money. It's usually old weaponry that we're about to cycle out and the military is required to put a price tag on the equipment. This is what Ukraine is managing to pull off with those resources that we're about to be cycled out!

However, the hardware we're giving them is, to my knowledge, old variants of what we use. The Bradley entered service in 1981 and has received numerous retrofits and upgrades since then, making the ones the US uses practically unrecognizable to the base model, which is what we're likely giving Ukraine
The war in Ukraine has been a treasure trove of data for the US department of defense. The USA is getting to see it's hardware(albeit old) in real combat without risking any of their own. Meanwhile the money buying replacements is helping to stimulate local economies. The military wins by getting replacements for the old worn out stuff.
This is not true. The US is funding the Ukrainian government with actual cash. You can’t fight a war without a functioning government. Whether or not not this money is being spent correctly is up for discussion lol.

The M2 Bradley didn't do damage to The inside but messed up The smoke launchers (The explosion) instruments and The cupolas.
The Crew abandoned The tank due to panic and because The thing that locks The turret Ring was Broken so The turret started moving on its own. Later it was destroyed by a Kamikaze drone

@bradleystanley1184 they did state on the inside of the tank, but honestly, I can agree with you on this. That tank was effectively mission killed before a drone popped the chassis, rendering it usable only for the scrap yards.

The tankers first fired armor-piercing ones, but then switched to high-explosive fragmentation, blinding the enemy, knocked out optical instruments and damaged the control system, the tank turret began to rotate, the crew left the tank and the tank drove into a tree, then a kamikaze drone arrived
That explosion was probably from the reactive armor. I don't think it was from a high-explosive round.

If the optics, gun, turret ring, hatchs, and tracks are destroyed and the crew abandons the vehicle thats definitely taken out of the fight

This really shows whoever fires first has a big advantage. Second is that tanks are vulnerable to vehicles that cannot even perpetrate them, but simply destroy its ability to fight.
Bradley being faster and smaller certainly has an advantage also in this area.

They're 25mm, not 120mm Tank rounds that ostensibly should also bounce at least once or twice, but war is war.
So machine guns really do incapacitate a tank, like in war thunder.

If you watch the full lenght video, you will see 2 IFVs against the tank, the tank very soon got blind due the accurate IFV gunfire against the tank optics, the explosions shown are the effect of reactive protection and yes, it was a small victory because at the and the IFVs seriously damaged the tank, but from the other side, this tank protected the crew that safely evacuated the tank immobilized against a tree and on fire. The crew sholud thank the pilot who always offered the front side to IFVs insted to escape offering the less protected back side.

NYP, you need to hire some military veterans on your staff. That tank was not obliterated; it deflected all shots. The blast at the end were the smoke screen devices which were hit by a bradley round.

They blinded the tank. They destroyed all the cameras on the outside leaving the gunner and driver both blinded and deafened. Everyone lived from this encounter. T-90 hits a tree and gets stuck so the crew bails and runs. The Bradley's reposition to avoid any possible counter fire.

Why as that big blast away from the tank? It doesn't look like the T-90 got destroyed. More like a part its explosive armour blew outwards. And the fact the video ended before we could see the aftermath of that blast makes me think it wasn't destroyed.

Engagement was too close and fast paced for TOWs, and there were too many obstacles that could cut the TOW lines

it did not obliterate the tank, the T90 has reactive armor that works like flairs. The t90 also first got hit from a FPV drone and had it turret disabled, then the Bradley was taking shots at the front of the tank that isn't even penetrationmable from a Bradly. The American Abram tank legit died to a single drone and grenades. (Also the T90 crew survived and was towed back for repairs and was back on the front line)

It destroyed optics, and turret controls. They were blind and out of control until they hit a tree and abandoned the tank. Kamakaze drones took it out later

@@Dalgol21 another video shows that the turret is rotating without a problem, and about the sights we cant say if they are taken out. The T-90m has multiple primary and secondary sights. If im not mistaking 2 digital targeting sights( one primary gunners sight, and commander sight) and 1 or 2 optical gunners sights so i doubt that all of them were destroyed
Missing the big picture here. It disabled it's ability to fight. That's all you have to do disable the enemy's ability to fight be it an infantry man or a tank. A tank without a crew (that escaped) is worthless
Most likely 1 bradley because shots came from only one direction. They could've been side by side but the tracers say that only one Bradley was presently fighting the T90M

This tank wasn’t “obliterated”. It was ambushed and had its’ external sensors damaged, so it withdrew. Probably a day or two in the repair depot then back to action.
The gunner was killed and remaining crew bailed out. The tank was later finished off with drones.
Funny how the tank wasn't disabled, that explosion at the end is them firing a shell, if you had seen the whole video rather than this snippet you would see the tank reverse and leave without a scratch
Many people think that the last explosion was tank getting destroyed but reality is it was probably a smoke granade getting lauched by the crew or possible because of the bradley shot at the end bradley couldn't destroy the tank but letter got destoryed by a drone
I remember when I frist joined the Army, I was a dismount for the BFV. They move fast,and shoot fast,that was when it was still a Infantry mos. It was fun riding in the back of them, but I wanted to move my career, towads the groups.

What a false information in the title.. All we can see here are Bradley bullets ricocheting off the T90M. Explosion is from smoke granade of T90M, not Bradley’s ammo and tank survived it. Video is purposely cut from that point.
You are missing the point, the tank is still technically knocked out as all three of its crew sights are destroyed rendering the tank useless.
It proceeds to crash into a tree while trying to escape.
They would have been forced to ditch the tank after that.
There is a long version of this video that shows the tank being disabled.
It shows the tank turret being disabled and spinning wildly out of control while the tank crashes into a line of trees.

Wrong. T-90 MBT vs Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV). The Bradley is essentially an IFV (infantry fighting vehicle), designed to transport troops and equipment/munitions from point to point while laying down hate with its 25mm chaingun.

Well the Bradley itself didn't destroy it, there is no way a 25 mm cannon can destroy an MBT's frontal armor. Rather than showing how "bad" the T-90M is, it shows how bad russian crew training is

The Bradley didn't "obliterate" the T90. It just knocked out the T90s optics. The Bradley is a really effective IFV but the T90 absorbs the rounds pretty well actually.

Guessing these were depleted uranium rounds? I dont believe the Bradleys tungsten or HEI rounds can defeat a tank's armor like this.
If you look at the full engagement (other videos), the Bradleys didn't pen the T80 (though all the sensors are probably chewed up and the crew is probably deaf). The end explosion is probably from the IR / Smoke counter measures cooking off.
It’s an AFV for goodness sake. I’m willing to bet that atgms, drones and satellite intel are far more responsible than bradley’s. get real.
Only time it penetrated I saw was a hit under turret where there is almost no armor. But yeah, you destroy all sensors after the 5th Bradley round hit you and suddenly you are driving T-42.
They were probably using m791, which is a titanium dart. There ARE DU rounds, but they would have been more effective than the HE they were chucking at it.
The armor wasn’t defeated. They opened with AP, then decided to blind them with HE. in the fight, the sights got disabled and the turret malfunctioned. The crew bailed out and the tank drove into a tree/ditch.
Ever wonder why these events are worldwide news? Because they are the exception. This was the 2nd Bradley to engage this tank. Any guesses on what happened to the first one? The K/D is well in the Russian's favor.
A full week later and the bradley gunner who got interviewed uploaded a video of his disabled/destroyed Bradley. Idk if those random words he said were the code names of the other two crew members but he was all alone and not happy. Saying this is life. Other videos of the same area show a lonesome bradley abandoned on a road.
