Today we put two M3 Bradley to the test to see how well they can do against a T-90M in War Thunder. This is based on an actual battle. What will happen? You might be surprised but let’s find out.

armor fatigue/weakening isnt a thing in warthunder. This is an important factor when using small caliber auto cannons to damage heavy armour.
I don’t think they actually damaged the armor all that much(as in the crew survived obviously that thing got pretty messed up but full pen non really.) It’s just in war thunder you can’t actually have your optics destroyed so it’s kinda impossible to replicate accurately plus when your third person you have an insane edge in situational awareness a real crew ain’t getting

repeated impact can destroy or cause a glitch in the system resulting in unwanted inputs
later the turret even stoped spinning after hitting the tree and after that the turret was even turned into the EVAC(Evacuation) position to allow the driver easy exit can be seen on photos after the FPV drone hit the T-90M
my guess is electronic got a glitch due to repated impacts and after the turret got forcefully stoped by the tree Il guess the electronics snaped back or maybe the gunner changed to emergency mode(assuming the have it) or manual mode turret controlls
it was either gunner pannicking or fire control system trying to match the gun with sight (which was destroyed) and resulting into continious spin. after tree hit gunner probably turned off the FCS and ratained control of the turret. electronic systems on tanks are not easily taken out because they are made to sustain rough sitouations, it was most likely glitch due to sight destruction and not the hits themselves
And the Ukrainians cope so hard, you don’t even have to look particularly hard to come across them. The tank was initially in a strategically bad place, the tank was rendered harmless by damaging the electronics, optics, the smoke grenade emission systems were damaged, the "Volnorez" electronic warfare station was damaged, and before that the drones did not reach no way. At the same time, both side crews were at a decent level; not everyone could have thought of stopping the rotation of the turret after hitting the tree. The main thing is that the crew survived, then the tank was finally destroyed by drones

Наводчик мог просто выключить и включить тумблеры и башня работала нормально, но экипаж был не обучен и не знал даже привычных вещей.

1. in real life, if the optics are broken, they should’ve be not able to aim at all.
2. you can’t estimate the location of enemy in the smoke by shooting your machine gun and seeing hit mark.
3. the noise of T-90’s engine is much bigger due to higher HP, so it won’t be easy for T-90 to hear Bradley’s engine sound like in WT
4. ERAs attached on T-90 should’ve explode right away after the impact of first 25mm chaingun round.
5. T-90’s main gun is much longer than Bradley’s one, and it would’ve give very big disadvantage for T-90 in real life when they’re fighting in those small village.
6. Russian thermal sight quality isn’t that good as their paper spec, But everyone knows that US has one of the best thermal sight technologies.
I like the fact that dead Bradley's can still give advices about position and other things about the enimy

This is why i wish destroying optics in war thunder did something. Maybe covering your screen in cracks and broken glass or something. Goes to show how well trained the bradley crews are to take out an MBT they couldnt penetrate.
From what I heard, there was an fpv drone that first crashed into the top and exploded
taking out the optics, then the footage starts with bradleys, firing AP at first then HE after the AP emptied out
ERA did start exploding and all, there was a massive explosion (ammo crates probably), then a few more rounds made the turret ring get stuck on rotating, got fixed by crew or something stopped it from rotating, another fpv drone attacks top, all 3 crew abandons tank
from what i know, this was at the frontlines, so maybe the crew returned, and the tank got repaired, or maybe not

It sounds like you ran into a coping Russian.
TheT-90M was firing at the Bradley's during the entire video, which means they didn't lose their optics beforehand.
The turret rotation was stopped when the driver slammed into a tree and the main gun hit the tree while rotating. That fixed the issue, the crew backed off from the tree and then bailed. Tank was then finished off by a drone.

The T90M was destroyed by a drone , Bradleys damaged it but did not lead to its destruction
the bradleys did make it so it was destroyed,
Destroyin g the turret rotation which made it spin uncontrolable, making it blind, aka destrying optics
the tank never stood a chance with its poor optics. The tank was so heavily damaged that it wasnt gonna be operational in this war, no matter how hard they tried. It was abandoned by the russians and was in this case pretty much destroyed. this shows how war thunder believes in its russian bias.@@Mal101M

The T-90M was not taken out. They pierced his armor and the explosion seen was from the ERA. The tank was disabled by a drone on cam

Great video. Thing is, it's a video game. It can't take into account the 10 million different variables in this situation. A micro crack in the armor. The air temp. The angle of the vehicles at the time of the attack. So many factors to what really happened. Not to mention the game totally favors Eastern European vehicles. Either way...super cool vid.

Are you really arguing about the realism of a computer game? In American computer games like Call of Duty, 1, an American Marine exterminates several hundred Russian soldiers. And yes, based on the quantity and price, there should be 2-3 Russians for 1 Western tank.
So, you may not believe me, but when i was doing some armor analysis after hearing about this even i went to see where on the front there would be a weak spot that could have disabled the T-90M. Well i did end up finding it, It was a turret ring shot, its verry small and hard to hit, but it's a disabling blow that would have taken out the tank. It's on the left side of the barrel just under the breach. it's hard to hit, but it works.

I bet 9М117М1 outperform this outdated wire-guided missile. It can be launched on the run, it have also tandem, and its laser guided. Plus overall distance is 5.5 km.
@@benitocarbone2123 the tow missile is the older wire flown one from pre 2000s yes, kinda outdated but could work as it doesn't have laser guidence, not alerting a tank of lasers pointing at it
Ok so there are many factors of why the 2 Bradley's won against the T90M since so many of you are bitching about it in the comments. Crew experience and training is a massive one. It doesn't matter how good a tank is for it to fail if you don't have a good crew. The Bradley's did exactly what they were trained to do. Split up and use overwhelming fire to confuse the tank. Make the tank focus on one Bradley while the other tries to flank. Hitting the optics, sensors even the tracks is part of the training. Even the US did these tactics with their Bradley's in the first gulf war. Confusion and panic is what really killed the T90. Imagine if your sitting in a tank and your constantly getting hit and blinded from the enemy, your optics are gone and sensors and now your turret is out of control you would panic too. The T90 probably didn't know how many Bradley's there were and if they had infantry support. For those saying, BuT! ThE! BRadlEys! DiDnt! WIn! tHe! T90! sURvivEd!! iT! wAS! ThE! dRONe! ThAT! TOok! IT! oUt!. That's not the point people were trying to make. Ya the T90 might not blown up and the turret lunched in to space cause of the Bradley's. A disabled thank that tank that 1. is optics and sensors are destroyed and 2. The turrets is disabled so they gun cant be used correctly pretty much makes the tank fucking useless until it can be repaired. It would be the same if it happened to an Abrams or Leopard.

For those that were wondering. The Bradley only disable the T90M turret and didn't actually destroy the MTB.
The crew later got out it seem thankfully they got out alive from that last I heard and the MBT was hit with something some time after that attack.
The Crew/Bradley that later talked about it in news report the Commander also made a video later showing the Bradley was taken out.
Either way too much talk about this and not enough reality checks were reported on it and let's be honest mostly rhetoric.
If the the roles were reverse the same effect, beside anything can get taken out in real combat with forces that have the means to fight each other in context to the type of combat they are in respectfully on both side.

The crew abandoned the vehicle, the video starts with the T90 already damaged and it is apparent this damage was not called by the bradley's 25mmauto cannon. There is also no proof the T90 was destroyed and that the Bradley's auto cannon penetrated it.
The ERAs on the T-90M looked completely fine after all those shots when they took a picture of it
The bradleys didnt destroy it. FPV drone strikes and artillery were the main reasons.
It counts as a mission kill for the Bradley's since they damaged it to the point it became combat ineffective, The drones just put the nail in the coffin

The thing is, in the video the Bradleys first engaged the t90 with darts which is evedent by the sparks, obviously they carry a certain amount and when they were out they changed to the other amo, is possible either that or one of the 2 fpv drones damaged the turret ring or traverse mechanism as well as optics, when the tank was abandoned the 3 crew seemed relatively unharmed which means there was probably no penetration or if any very little damage done, the crew probably shit themselves big time
I think most people forget the actual context for this encounter and only see 2 IFVs and 1 MBT, whereas it was more complicated
I love that the media blows the event up and give the kill to the 2 bradleys, instead of one drone who hit turret rear after the T90M hit a tree to stop the turret spinning.

The T90 was hit by something in the beginning of the video , maybe a drone who knows . And this already disabled the turret , optics or whatever , the t90 took a few shots but all went into the ground . Without that the Bradley would be toast , as he crossed the street right in front of the T90 . So they propably knew that the tank got hit or they have huge balls of steel . 😅
I would love to see more content like this, and that world war two series, recreating real life events.

the shrapnel from the bushmaster would immediately blind the t90 like it did in irl and they would almost certainly always have coms from a recon drone so he would know where the t90 is at all times
Was i the only one who noticed that T-90M was using HEATFS
T-90M in real battle did not loose control, after loosing all periscopes and sights it might have tricked the fire-control system which in turn started rotating the turret, after which gunner simply turned it off. the driver was still able to drive the tank but obvously couldnt see where he was driving. Even ERA in real combat was not taken out. Only FPV Drone hit damaged tank enough that it lost engine and crew had to abandon it. So yea, war thunder is pretty realistic about that
That final round, Bradley's do carry more than two tows which are loaded by the people in the back if they are carrying troops
as far as i understand the real scenario - T90m was first hit by artillery (or maybe drone) blinding it, then bradleys kinda distracted it, made it panic (it still fired at them but missed) & and possibly turret rotation until a drone finished it off.
So it was a joint effort from a large amount of forces to disable a t90m.

T 90 s are a beast of a tank and Ukrainians bs ing abt how they took it out using bradley of all tanks
from what i know. it damaged the sight and turret but didnt destroy the vehicle. when the turret got damage enough it started turning around in circles causing the T90 to crash into tree then the crew bailed out and ran
In the event Bradley was using HE ammo because APFSDS feed of the bushmaster jammed. T-90M lost control because of the sensor issues. Turret drive is controlled by the gunner sight so when gunner sight got damaged for some reason it kept the turret spinning. Of course stuff like this is not reflected in war thunder.
im almost certain that i saw a the extended video of this an it shows the crew getting out and then the tank getting taken out via fpv drone. but still it counts as a mobility kill for the bradley
last time i checked there wasnt a helicopter constantly giving information to the bradleys
There were actually several drones. An FPV drone was the first attack on the T-90 but it failed to deal any meaningful damage, there was the camera UAV the whole time, and after the Bradlies engagement another FPV drone struck the tank.

The simulator game mode making The experience more harder but the Adrenalin to destroy with less help communicating with the team in battle would make it ideal for combat sim in real purposes
in real life destroying optics will be detrimental to a tank
and the turret was out of control for some weird reason, but it was not destroyed
they were likely just got confused by the auto cannon fire and rotated the turret too much
If I remember, the person who piloted the Bradley mentioned he played war thunder, and understood where the weak spots were
u can also try on some killer drone in some if they exist and t90 driving and then u hit him with it so its maybe be posible to lose control because drive mode when u drive its be hard to hit

War thunder need to add a thing were if you hit and damage the Gunner sights your turret stops and you cant see through the sniper mode
The Bradleys more or less caught the T-90 by surprise. But if the T-90 was aware of them and fought back, the first attempt would have been pretty accurate if the T-90 caught the Bradleys. The second attempt would was close to the real encounter, except the T-90 was face-on, rather than facing the other way.
The fact is that they damaged the tank, but did not penetrate it. They jammed its turret. Then the video shows that the entire crew gets out and runs away.

They did not "take out the tank". Crew of the T-90 survived with minimal damage to the armor, but the Bradley's took out the "vision" of T-90, thus T-90 had to retreat.
It wasn't just the bradleys, the T-90 got wrecked by a combination of artillery, infantry and most importantly drones that were coordinated well. Any tank stuck in that T-90s position would suffer the same fate.
drones came after, bradly shot at the turretring and after some shooting turret ring buged and startet spinning, later drones came and hit it
one thing you got wrong in this b sim , is that the ukrainian gunner said his AP rounds where malfunctioning so he used HE to only take out modules. The T90 did not have any member killed by the bradleys. It was just disabled and abandoned, then a drone actually came in and destroyed it while it was abandoned.
Its just about the crew and war thunder to beat either of these.
War Thunder sim mode is so fun, I wish we had ground sim EC.
Don’t forget to add 2 FPV drones (with a chemical and cumulative projectile), which was used to attack the T-90 before the battle with 2x Bradleys, where the T-90 received heavy damage to its armor and systems. And he was already almost helpless. BUT NO WAIT WE NEED TO SUCK THIS TOPIC AS WELL AS A VICTORY TOPIC

War Thunder of course always assumes that Tanks are fully equipped with all bells and whistles. It has been an Occurrence with the Russian Army that the Outside ERA on their tanks some times was just fake, filled with Cardboard or something else, thus defeating the point of the ERA. We don't know what the Equipment status on the T-90 was when it faced the Bradleys.

Actually, the gunner of the Bradely took the T-90's sights and the horizontal drive out when T-90 exposed their sides and the crew have to bail out from the vehicle and then the suicide drone came in and done critical damage to the T-90.
The Bradley crew got hit a week later and it got destroyed anyways the rotation system got damaged when they hit the 90's crew drove to a tree stopped the turret from rotating and the crew survived and abandoned ship i'd don't say shi* when you don't know what happened but you were partially right

I’d also like to note that the Bradleys supplied to Ukraine have only been given HE. No APFSDS has been given to Ukraine for the 25mm.

The T90m is a recent adittion to war thunder. He didn't learn where to shoot from war thunder.
the T90M is very similar to other tanks, and its weakspots, for example the T80 which has been longer in the game has same weakspots as the T90M.

Well in real-life loosing optics and taking out track gives very big advantage
and turret control was lost because somehow pierced ring and it jammed the mechanism. Probobly because irl if you hit something multiaple times it gets more damaged with every other hit.
Like I'll try to explain about how huge of advantage is tracking enemies irl is :
only 11 leopards 2 got destroyed (from ~130) and all of them got destroyed because they had to leave it after getting tracked and getting pushed by pidorasi
but this woks both sides, there is insane amount of tanks that Ukrainians destroyed because it got tracked(I didin't found how many, but there is insane amount of videos in TH-cam/Telegram). And after just burning it down by nading engine or exploding ammo from behind (there is a weak spot on its back)
It wasnt killed by the bradley it was a drone
The turret of the T-90M was disabled and forced spinning in the real engagement and an Army member mentioned that the rounds being used by at least one of the bradley's was AP ammo with incendiary and that's why there was so much sparking from some shots. Also, it was mentioned that most of the bradley's in Ukraine are using either APDS or M919 ammo since that's what they were allegedly shipped with.
That's just the info i've come across in my looking into the engagment and digging for all the info I could about the situation.
p.s. --Allegedly one of the men who was involved in the fight also stated he remembered 'playing video games, and where to shoot' so there's a case of evidence that WT or another game involving vehicular combat of military vehicles was where he learned weakspots of the T-90, or just in general of most Soviet/Russian vehicles.
Another problem is you need to not do this like you're playing WT [whoever was in the T-90M]. The T-90M was injured already remember having a dead turret stuck spinning in circles and never fired a round at that bradley's implying it's FCS was damaged as well. The T-90M wouldn't have pushed senselessly like the driver of the T-90M did in the video here, he might've moved to continue sightlines, but I highly HIGHLY doubt he'd be raging right in popping the bradley's right away, as well as again, he couldn't use the main gun so that wasn't represented either.

The T-90M was NOT destroyed. The crew all got out of the tank all safe. The optic to commanders sight was damaged and there’s a warning when something is aiming at it and the turret would turn to the target and what’s what the Bradley hit and fucked up the T-90 from.
I don't really get the suprise over this in the media? Bradley was designed so it could have some answer to enemy armour and if some 50cal machine guns have got mobility kills on tanks then a 25mm autocannon will have no problems
