I said this on Twitter, but since i don't have Twitter Blue noone saw this but, with the 10 year anniversary shows, the NYCC show is a M9 one shot for Fjord & Jesters Wedding... Now i am guessing that we are going to get a cross over even where the players take over all characters from each previous campaign (including VM), since as a both DM and Entertainment value, it would be incredible unsatisfying to have all that happen on the off screen. So my question is... with the oneshot being a year away, what if the M9 TPK, what is the contingency plan for that?
I've no idea where this is going but it seems possible that everyone might die and the whole world could end. There's no plot armor in D&D even for couples about to get married. I suppose they could still get hitched in the afterlife, provided one remains.
The funny thing is, Caleb saying turning into a goldfish would help is kind of correct, bc he knows if physics of the world was consistent, Kiki couldnt have died, since the 20d6 that kiki would hit could not have killed her (it was just matt forgetting the rules and accidentally bringing us the best scene in the show, lmao)
I don't think Matt has ever indicated in game that he's set a limit to how much damage you can take from falling. It would seem fake if all characters of a certain level could never die from falling.
@@Dunybrook He did, based on capping it in the past when keyleth used fall damage offensively and defensively in the past. So in world, the character would know that dropping something from an airship as a nonflying beast didnt kill it, allowing it to come back after them later, and she knows she dropped as the keyteor before and knows how much damage that did to her. Like Keyleth was correct when she said "we're practically gods" at that level you literally could drop from that high. Also if you're using real world physics, turning into a goldfish also would have saved her, because terminal velocity of a goldfish is much less than a person, and the air friction would have stopped her, like a parachute.
Thanks for this. It was great to see the players having so much fun but there really wasn't anything in this episode for people (like me) who didn't watch C2. I couldn't finish it but maybe I'll go back and try again.
18:06 Taliesin is so ridiculously good at Caduceus, god. It's stunning how wise he is. I don't think I've ever seen high wisdom / low intellect portrayed so well
Ok, this has been bugging me for a while. If Bell’s Hells pull of freeing Predathos who then chases away the gods ,because they haven’t told anyone their plans they are going to be seen by most of Exandria as traitors to the cause and become the bad guys in history. They really haven’t thought this through.
I do think that we can have BH reunion streams where they go and actually DEAL WITH THE HELLS, as both Fearne and majorly Braius are marked by the hells, and we know that no one crosses Asmodaddy and gets away with it. I also think we may get some more Unseile in potential future conflicts.
I really enjoy these recaps a lot, but I would love to see more conspiracy theories, both from you and from people on Discord or in the comments, even if it’s just 2 minutes long, that would be enough.
Yeah I understand! I tend to get more time to talk about that stuff on stream. Unfortunately though we’re kind of at the point where there isn’t always new stuff to theorise about and the major questions I feel I’ve hashed over my theories a bunch already. Hopefully the next few episodes we’ll get some juicy lore drops!
Am i the only one that noticed that the toys Caleb put out were a cat (obviously) a t-rex and a gorilla, thus implying that Chetney inspired his go to polymorph forms.
Clearly, Orym has heard a slightly adjusted telling of the fish story from Keyleth, and was told about how she ingeniously saved herself from falling that far XD
In 2014 rules, changing into something very hardy like a bear would stop you from dying because the HP goes over your own and acts as a shield. The new rules wouldn't work this way but Liam has the right idea. Also the most she should of taken was 120, you can't get more than 20d6
Sam has frequently leaned into trolling the cast through his decisions rather than servicing the story. But he also makes some of the best decisions for the story that have ever been made by the cast (SPOILER ALERT: FCG's sacrifice...a moment I will never forget). His creativity has ups and downs but I will gladly still gladly take it.
Well ever since the EXU Dorian gravitated around Orym. Their friendship and little moments were more subtle but if you go back do C3 ep1 you will notice how Doriam is always focused on the leads (for battle and other decisions) Orym gives.
I made a LONG list of it, if it helps? If you have time to read all of it, of course. There's more but these ones are the most notable for me. EXU: - Robbie: 'I don't know why I keep looking at Orym, so I'm going to look over at Orym.' (Episode 1) - Liam: "Orym shoots Dorian the kind of look that a spouse gives to a spouse." (Episode 3) - Parts where Orym can't seem to help but watch Dorian (Episode 5, Episode 6) - Dorian: 'As he typically is, Orym's right.' (Episode 5) - Conflict between Orym and Dorian about the crown of the spider queen, and Dorian letting it go because he cares more about Orym (Episode 5) - Dorian always looking out for Orym and feels bad not being able to help him: "And I'm going to give Orym a wistful look as I leave, because I feel fucking bad about bailing [from the battle]" (Episode 6) - Before separating ways with the EXU crew, Dorian decided to follow Orym's lead: "I look to Orym like I always have for direction, and see if I'll follow." (Episode 8) --- C3: - Dorian always looking at Orym for guidance / leadership: "In any sort of conflict, first things first: I'm going to look straight to Orym" (C3E1) // "You're the leader." (C3E1) - Dorian always looking out for Orym even in battle. Dorian: "No debts between us." [After Orym thanks him for saving him] (C3E3) - The way Orym worries about Dorian. Liam: "as soon as Dorian gets back, Orym untenses his hand and realizes how hard he's been gripping Sending Stone." (C3E6) - Liam: "As he bends down a blue flower blooms out of Orym's hand and is now tucked into Dorian's hair." (C3E6) - Orym being protective of Dorian: " It's simple, I'm Orym. I'm Dorian's friend." [As Liam does the 'I'm watching you' gesture at Chetney for being mean to Dorian] (C3 E8) // "Orym is scanning the room, too, for anyone who might be eyeballing Dorian, just because of the way Artana Voe sized him up for looking similar." (C3E13) - Dorian: "God, I just want to touch Orym." (C3E3) - The way Dorian wants Orym by his side: "Orym, you said you'd like to stay with me. Would you?" (C3E12) // The same with Orym: "I'll be with Dorian." (C3E12) - The way both of them highly regard each other. / Orym: "Dorian has talked us out of 20 different situations." // Dorian: "There is no one more capable or qualified to hold onto this than Orym." (C3E12) - Kissing Orym's forehead (C3E14) - All of Orym's sending stone messages for Dorian while they're apart. And Orym using the stone as comfort when it stopped working for a while. - The way Orym misses Dorian after he left: "I was about to say that it was like having Dorian around [when Imogen turned blue] (C3E18) // "I think of our friend who we said goodbye to a few days ago." [After Orym finds the Chromatic Rose] (C3E17) //"Hey, friend. Missing you here. Could really use your special brand of creative optimism right now. Don't know where you are. Hope you're happy." (C3E31) // "I really miss Dorian, and sometimes I think that's okay, and sometimes I think it isn't! (C3E79) - Orym reaching for the sending stone before falling from Otohan's blade. "As it stabs, you see Orym's hand which was reaching into his belt, and the blue sending stone goes, bump-bump, onto the ground." (C3E33) - Orym's distraught that Dorian didn't answer when the sending stone started working again. (Orym: "Why do you think he didn't answer? / Imogen: "The stone?" / Orym: "Dorian. He didn't answer." (C3E86) Orym tackling Dorian for a hug upon his return (C3E93) Orym: "You remember when I held a blade to your chest and told you not to put that crown on your head? I think about that every day." // Dorian: "Every step of the way, I've thought about you." (C3E95) Dorian telling Orym that it's okay to rely on them and believe they could make it; that he doesn't have to save everyone. (Orym: "I tried to reach out a lot, but you still got me through. // Dorian: "I wouldn't be here without you, and now, I'm here with you." (C3E95) "Orym: In the last 10 or 15 minutes before falling asleep, he goes back to just watching Dorian sleep, he goes back to just watching Dorian sleep, which is something that he's done for a very, for a long time." (C3E104) "Liam: But I think because of how integral the relationships between fathers and sons are to Orym and his history and how much he loves Dorian-" (C3E105) Liam: "Orym totally blue screens." [After Dorian's speech and summoning his mount] (C3E105) "Orym: (to the Raven Queen) Do you ever miss your mortality? It's pretty great-[Liam looks to Robbie and shares a smile with him]-living a lifetime." (C3E109) Dorian: "I think you can smite them all, but I would say that is a plan, but if there's anyone among them who could stand up against your mighty deceit, it's probably that little man's strength and honor. // "I do think he is the best of us and I think he leads us in a way he doesn't know. " (C3E110)

i see Braius more as Teenager that lashing and hating his parents just because they disapoint him and he discover they werent perfect individuals. and im not saying thats not deep, on the contrary i think we center so much in the idea of him being this example people wrong by the gods, that we forget that he probably will give everything to just be we people that acept him, is just the situation that the lord of lies give hims that posibility the easy way. i think Cadecius say it perfectly, what let him down was the people, his belives never change, was the people he learn them from that hurt him. all of this is just my opinion, and probably sam see it differently, but i belive the Briaus pre Jester an Nott is the one that it actually with the BH rigth now he just put this mask of loving the betrayers because he want to make it hurt the people that disapont him

Like Keyleth was correct when she said "we're practically gods" at that level you literally could drop from that high.
Also if you're using real world physics, turning into a goldfish also would have saved her, because terminal velocity of a goldfish is much less than a person, and the air friction would have stopped her, like a parachute.
Caleb being a CPopper was my favorite thing ever.
Braius when kicked out as refugees lost his "Greene" card.
I don't think I've ever seen high wisdom / low intellect portrayed so well
Why was it not until watching this that I realised “Of course the nein don’t know about what happened to Ryn-the players don’t!”
We still don't know what their plans actually are. Can't believe the Arch Heart would actually betray the other gods like that. So strange.
13:40 Bone >harp
I do think that we can have BH reunion streams where they go and actually DEAL WITH THE HELLS, as both Fearne and majorly Braius are marked by the hells, and we know that no one crosses Asmodaddy and gets away with it. I also think we may get some more Unseile in potential future conflicts.
Always love your recap- even when not much happened.
I laughed so much at Fearne going "i want my own collection! *I want the five* 😠" I want that one shot
Hopefully the next few episodes we’ll get some juicy lore drops!
chetney is the "what if harrison ford was a gnome?"
Am i the only one that noticed that the toys Caleb put out were a cat (obviously) a t-rex and a gorilla, thus implying that Chetney inspired his go to polymorph forms.
I did not notice! That’s super cute
Clearly, Orym has heard a slightly adjusted telling of the fish story from Keyleth, and was told about how she ingeniously saved herself from falling that far XD
I think that was Liam messing with Marisha.
In 2014 rules, changing into something very hardy like a bear would stop you from dying because the HP goes over your own and acts as a shield. The new rules wouldn't work this way but Liam has the right idea. Also the most she should of taken was 120, you can't get more than 20d6
She definitely would have spun that story
I saw in this episode its that The Mighty Nine are more close with Gods....
If Dorym dont get their happy ending i can never watch anything ever again
Pocket bacon is why the Hellhounds in Hunt: Showdown only go for me!
that is 'Icky Thong' please 😁
Sam has frequently leaned into trolling the cast through his decisions rather than servicing the story. But he also makes some of the best decisions for the story that have ever been made by the cast (SPOILER ALERT: FCG's sacrifice...a moment I will never forget). His creativity has ups and downs but I will gladly still gladly take it.
Lucky for me I started on season one like 2 years ago and basically binge watched to present so no spoilers for me. lol.
Feaire and jester talking is like those two blonde popular girls in high-school that just chatter constantly in the high pitched voice
What is that Symbol on Sam's shirt a reference of... 4:14 from Campaign 2. I thought maybe the film Hero at Large, but it doesn't look quite right.
Hellz with a Z😊
Can anyone give past references about orym and Dorian hinting their feelings? I was so caught off guard
EXU:
- Robbie: 'I don't know why I keep looking at Orym, so I'm going to look over at Orym.' (Episode 1)
- Liam: "Orym shoots Dorian the kind of look that a spouse gives to a spouse." (Episode 3)
- Parts where Orym can't seem to help but watch Dorian (Episode 5, Episode 6)
- Dorian: 'As he typically is, Orym's right.' (Episode 5)
- Conflict between Orym and Dorian about the crown of the spider queen, and Dorian letting it go because he cares more about Orym (Episode 5)
- Dorian always looking out for Orym and feels bad not being able to help him: "And I'm going to give Orym a wistful look as I leave, because I feel fucking bad about bailing [from the battle]" (Episode 6)
- Before separating ways with the EXU crew, Dorian decided to follow Orym's lead: "I look to Orym like I always have for direction, and see if I'll follow." (Episode 8)
---
C3:
- Dorian always looking at Orym for guidance / leadership: "In any sort of conflict, first things first: I'm going to look straight to Orym" (C3E1) // "You're the leader." (C3E1)
- Dorian always looking out for Orym even in battle.
Dorian: "No debts between us." [After Orym thanks him for saving him] (C3E3)
- The way Orym worries about Dorian.
Liam: "as soon as Dorian gets back, Orym untenses his hand and realizes how hard he's been gripping Sending Stone." (C3E6)
- Liam: "As he bends down a blue flower blooms out of Orym's hand and is now tucked into Dorian's hair." (C3E6)
- Orym being protective of Dorian: " It's simple, I'm Orym. I'm Dorian's friend." [As Liam does the 'I'm watching you' gesture at Chetney for being mean to Dorian] (C3 E8) // "Orym is scanning the room, too, for anyone who might be eyeballing Dorian, just because of the way Artana Voe sized him up for looking similar." (C3E13)
- Dorian: "God, I just want to touch Orym." (C3E3)
- The way Dorian wants Orym by his side: "Orym, you said you'd like to stay with me. Would you?" (C3E12) // The same with Orym: "I'll be with Dorian." (C3E12)
- The way both of them highly regard each other. / Orym: "Dorian has talked us out of 20 different situations." // Dorian: "There is no one more capable or qualified to hold onto this than Orym." (C3E12)
- Kissing Orym's forehead (C3E14)
- All of Orym's sending stone messages for Dorian while they're apart.
- Orym reaching for the sending stone before falling from Otohan's blade. "As it stabs, you see Orym's hand which was reaching into his belt, and the blue sending stone goes, bump-bump, onto the ground." (C3E33)
- Orym's distraught that Dorian didn't answer when the sending stone started working again. (Orym: "Why do you think he didn't answer? / Imogen: "The stone?" / Orym: "Dorian. He didn't answer." (C3E86)
Orym tackling Dorian for a hug upon his return (C3E93)
Orym: "You remember when I held a blade to your chest and told you not to put that crown on your head? I think about that every day." // Dorian: "Every step of the way, I've thought about you." (C3E95)
Dorian telling Orym that it's okay to rely on them and believe they could make it; that he doesn't have to save everyone. (Orym: "I tried to reach out a lot, but you still got me through. // Dorian: "I wouldn't be here without you, and now, I'm here with you." (C3E95)
"Orym: In the last 10 or 15 minutes before falling asleep, he goes back to just watching Dorian sleep, he goes back to just watching Dorian sleep, which is something that he's done for a very, for a long time." (C3E104)
"Liam: But I think because of how integral the relationships between fathers and sons are to Orym and his history and how much he loves Dorian-" (C3E105)
Liam: "Orym totally blue screens." [After Dorian's speech and summoning his mount] (C3E105)
"Orym: (to the Raven Queen) Do you ever miss your mortality? It's pretty great-[Liam looks to Robbie and shares a smile with him]-living a lifetime." (C3E109)
Dorian: "I think you can smite them all, but I would say that is a plan, but if there's anyone among them who could stand up against your mighty deceit, it's probably that little man's strength and honor. // "I do think he is the best of us and I think he leads us in a way he doesn't know. " (C3E110)
@@Xaychedelic wow! Amazing! I didn't get to finish EXU so maybe it didn't click for me like others. But then again I've always had this issue even for myself where I miss the signs coming at me - I literally thought it was best friendship.
Thank you so so much 🙏🏽
@@Sky-xf7nx see this is where I'm bad with signs like these 😂 my now spouse had to spell it out for me when we were dating.
@@rjbramirez I completely understand.
There's a compilation of "Dorym" (their ship name) that have a lot (its an hour long) of cute moments that u can watch to get how their slowburn came to that """"suden"""" passionate confession.
Luna is the Gilear plush new? I've never noticed it before, despite having my own Gilear in view most of the time I'm watching your videos🤣😅
Haha nah it's been in the background for a while, always watching 😛
I have to admit I’ve never vibed with BH like I did with the Mighty Nein, and I’ve never really been able to articulate why. Having the Nein return in this episode and the one-shot a few months ago showed me that it’s more the characters than anything else that’s left me feeling disconnected from C3. (And don’t get me wrong. I still love the show. And I *love* some of BH. But the Nein are my CR party.)
Braius is totally lying!!! I bet he'll reveal his total faith in Asmodeus at the very end!
ARe you going to liveshow in sydney/melbourne?
Hopefully Melbourne if I can get a ticket!
damn... robbie is good :(
i see Braius more as Teenager that lashing and hating his parents just because they disapoint him and he discover they werent perfect individuals. and im not saying thats not deep, on the contrary i think we center so much in the idea of him being this example people wrong by the gods, that we forget that he probably will give everything to just be we people that acept him, is just the situation that the lord of lies give hims that posibility the easy way. i think Cadecius say it perfectly, what let him down was the people, his belives never change, was the people he learn them from that hurt him. all of this is just my opinion, and probably sam see it differently, but i belive the Briaus pre Jester an Nott is the one that it actually with the BH rigth now he just put this mask of loving the betrayers because he want to make it hurt the people that disapont him
To be honest i hope Campaign 4 has zero references to any of the other campaigns. thats just my opinion
