It's apparently Gaelic, and is pronounced Gesh from most of the sources I've seen, derived from a word that means a magical or religious promise or vow
I don’t know if folks missed it or just didn’t want to talk about Ashton’s FCG reference with the coin flip line? They were really upset and I hope they unpack that sometime.
Yeahh it was weird to me it didn’t get addressed I feel like the cast might’ve missed the fact that it was a dig about FCG bc they didn’t really react to it outside the game either
I'm just amazed how well Matt Mercer rolled for the emissary (and in fact the whole episode) - the fact that it was a relative success in the most roundabout way is a miracle! The Chaos!
@@Luboffin I mean, narratively it makes sense, he's an emissary he should have some insane mental fortitude in a world full of magic but to resist that much?!? From Ira? The fate stitcher? Laudna?!? Mad respect. Shame he's now a shrub.
I like the idea that fearne is choosing to let gloamgut choose for himself. Her father forcibly bound him with magic but she can earn his trust with love. I want him to fly off but then in the final battle, deep within the moon, when everything is going wrong, i want to see this dragon that hates leaving the feywild coming as far as you can get from the feywils and arriving to help on the moon, but not alone. I want him to bring yu, and the rest of the fey as they come to fight for fearne, their fey princess, not bound by magic or pacts or deals but united by love and respect. I know its sappy and cliche but let me dream, lol.
I might be reading into it too much, but I did not connect the "You're the best" "I know" to another famous love confession that sounded like that until now. I know it's not a real love confession, but it's very sweet of Ashton. I love that scene at the end.
It was one of the first things I thought of cos my husband is a big Star Wars nerd and I made him a little cross stitch of that line years ago. It was a very sweet moment!
More juicy Luna to help me catch what I missed by watching the episode while working on other projects. Those rolls! And taming the dragon. And the creepy factor. And Oram. And and and…
@@Luboffin I just remembered! New Headcanon: due to the Feywilds weird relationship with time, Bells Hells is the reason why everyone does. not. go. to. the. theater. over there. @@Luboffin see I thought that but when he said let the gods run and we'll take over, it didn't make sense to me because he's one of the gods. Does he think Predathos won't go for him? Sorry but if I'm playing tag, I'm getting the guy who's just standing there, not the ones running away.
This episode pissed me off. Stupid fey advantage against charms and mind control. It was fun at first but nearly half of the episode was grinded to a halt by the problem.
I genuinely have no idea how to pronounce Geas just like Robbie, please feel free to roast me in the comments if I pronounced it wrong 😝
@@Luboffin I believe it's pronounced [Ge-sh]
I believe Geas is pronounced [ge-sh] and Geass is pronounced [ghee-ah-suh]

I've heard 'Geese with a lisp' is close
Hard G "gesh" 😅 but yep definitely have googled that in the past
I appreciate you showing the reactions of the cast since I can only listen at work so I miss them!
I’m glad it’s helpful! 🥰
This episode had some of the creepiest and most messed up stuff we've seen out of the mind of M Mercer, and I loved it!
Yeah it was brutal 😅 I loved watching everyone's different reactions
That FCG coin flip moment was a deep cut... damn Orym.
Zathuda, sometime, somewhere: "Moisturize me!"
👁️👅👁️

Yeah I still feel like they haven’t had much processing of FCG’s death 😢

Yeah those rolls were bonkers, I’m glad he did them in the open or I think no one would have believed it 😅

This episode was one giant cluster fuck in the very best way. From knocking people out repeatedly to all of the spell failures. Chaos. I love it.
I’ve been stranded thanks to the hurricane in North Carolina and haven’t been able to watch my episode so thank you for the recap!
Oof hope you get home safe!
I find it easier to watch both videos about the episode back to back, so here we are now!
Interesting to see how much we see Gloamglut in the future.
I need a t shirt with Mister on it that just says “Chimp Stuff.”
That moment was so funny 🤣

Nothing love with some sappy head canon 🥰

Proud to be a patron of your fantastic content! :)
There is a lot going on and even more to be played out, crazy in there but in a good way. Thanks for another excellent break down.
watching this now to prep for tonight, thanks for the refresher. :)
Glad it was helpful! ☺️
Watching a lot of Chimp stuff. Dying all over again. Thank you so much for the recap!
Can't say I like where it all seems to be going into some kind of second calamity but am morbidly curious to see what happens.
Wowsers!

When I watched this episode, I had a really smart comment in mind. But then I forgot what it was.
It’ll come back to you! 😁

Sweet kuddly kitties!
So which God answered Brais? The dragon?
I’m pretty sure it was Asmodeus, Lord of the Hells 😈

Hey what happened last week there was no episode or livestream if anyone knows anything let me know
They take a break on the last Thursday of every month. They'll be back with a new episode this Thursday.
I always forget about that break too

Yeah it was pretty wild!
