  • In July of 2023, I solo-hiked the TMB over 11 days. I spent some nights camping, some in refuges, and some in hotels. In this video, I go over all of the gear I brought with me to complete this hike.

    Great to see how it all worked out. And I love gear reviews to see what everyone else is doing and incorporate their successes. Welcome back (assuming you're home)!

      Yes, I've been back for a little while now. Just takes some time to edit and upload all of the videos 😅 Glad you enjoyed seeing the gear!

    I'm planning on doing the TMB this year so it was great seeing your experience on it. Very much appreciate the videos you've made! If you ever find yourself wanting to do some trips in CO or WY I can give you many great trails out here!

      That’s so wonderful! I hope you have an amazing time hiking it. I’ve never been to Colorado. If I go there someday, what trail should I be sure to do?

      @@mikhailalynn Four Pass Loop is iconic but is a shorter trail(25mi). Collegiate Loop is around 150mi but has some pretty awesome views as well. My personal favorite other than the Four Pass Loop is to do sections of the Colorado Trail. The actual trail is over 500mi but the majority of it is gorgeous backcountry hiking so doing sections is definitely a good option if you enjoy the remoteness.

    What was the weight of your pack and gear that you rucked? If you mentioned it I missed it. Once again, well done!

    What was the temperature in the refugios at night? Is it cold?

    • @mikhailalynn
      @mikhailalynn  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It probably depends on the weather and time of year you are hiking. Rifugio Elisabetta was colder for me, but there was also a snow storm up in the mountains that evening (even though it was July). Still, I was comfortable and warm in my leggings and wool base layer top.

      I never got an exact measurement, but my estimate was around 25-27 lbs (11-12 kg). Thank you!
