Great interview about the band scene from bands was in years ago to now hoepfully inspired some of The younger generations to have have that same fire and will to join a band big supporter of North down defenders much respect from over the pond in Scotland keep going strong 🇬🇧🎊🇬🇧
A fantastic interview clearly displaying Nathan's development within the different bands. Now as Band captain it was interesting to hear his description of the role and his encouragement of the young 16 year old with obvious talent.
Thank you again for another fantastic episode! Keep at it you're doing a brilliant job and may Nathan and North Down Defenders go from strength to strength 🇬🇧🇬🇧🥁
Well done as usual Glen for anther brilliant podcast. Both you & Nathan put the best decision a band can e ever make out there, for all bands to take notice about & that's everyones points of view on decisions in the band, really counts.Im a member of Pride Of The Myle & when i heard how much getting to a practise was so much of a high for a member like yourselves, it's brilliant. That there's a new tune or a couple of tunes all coming from a good few of the lads, was somthing that couldn't come quick enough for me personally every practise. Its amazing. The way everyone all chips in on a tune, is what it's all about. The difference it makes to a band, is 2nd to none. Its 1 of the things our band had from day 1 & the thing that we all loved about the band.Ive always said, if i take 100 tunes down & we get 1 out of it, it's 1 more than we had the week before.Putting tunes on the top shelf or in the bin is somthing lads shouldn't worry or bother about.Glen picked up on that point that lads say, won't do that again, Nathan hit the nail on the head, if it's not liked don't be put off, onwards to the next 1 & give yourself more time on the 1 that was put on the shelf & the rest of the lads can all work on it aswell 😉 xxx
@@MadetoParade No problem Glen, it's magic to see young lads like Nathan who has all the right things for his band, the band scene & our history. His passion flows out the way ours has & always will do.Its young lads like Nathan who are the future of not only his band, the band scene in general, what a brilliant time ahead for the band scene.Well done Nathan, you've made an old man very happy son.Proud of you👍xxx
Your comments mean a lot mate 👏👏 the band scene is forever a part of me and will always try my best to shine a light on it, the inspiration came from a line of good men like yourself 👏💙
Yes, he is part of the reason I still play too. If he hadn't of sent me the book, for free I might add. I probably would only be playing the same tunes I played 20 yrs ago. Now I am learning tunes I have never even heard of before. Trying to find out how the tune should sound, if I haven't heard it before can be tricky sometimes.
@@NathanSandersNDD yeah I can play by ear too, but its always good to have the notes for those who can't. My kids are learning now too, they play it more than me now. Got them a wee drum pad as well. Great pod by the way just finished it there now
Thank you for having me on Glenn, no better platform to promote Loyalist Bands 🇬🇧👏
