Platoon, Battalion, and Young Guns gave me some of the best nights out. And the CDs and tapes were always playing on our band bus trips. Lisa is right about our songs being outdated and a bit samey for each track. Some of them can still only be bought on vinyl if you are lucky enough to come across one. An up to date version of some of them could make another great album, or two. Other avenues of getting the songs out there, need to be looked at too, EBPB have a load of their CDS on Spotify, and I would think they get some sort of reward from doing so. More bands, and groups need to explore that now, as well. That is where music is going, and the younger ones probably couldn't tell you what a record, cassette or CD is.
definitely need a refresh of some songs and some new ones written as well. The online streaming market is where everything is going, just doesn't pay very well unless you are in that high bracket of plays. Easy enough to get your music on there, services like Ditto make it accessible to anyone who has ever recorded music
I get what Lisa is saying when she says English Loyalist Culture is footbally, im a former Scottish Orangeman with family ties to the north of England, I found that in most places that have orange lodges outwith Liverpool, the thing that united most younger orangemen is a support of their local team and Glasgow Rangers but ive also found that many of them become great Orange Brothers once they are in the Order. Great Podcast PS Lisa favourite song to sing is "carrickfergus"
We made CDs and USBs recently from Chris himself as well. USBs did prove to be very popular we have just had to place another order there this week. Come with the casing and tune list just like a CD.
always listened to Lisa , what a singer
Brilliant Lisa , a true Ulster girl who is proud of her country and her heritage , never change …👏👏👏

Very reasonably priced as well.
I wonder if the residents of Beirut ever describe any of their areas like Belfast. Aside from that, a great interview.
lol How mad would that be? Glad you enjoyed the interview - Lisa was a great guest - very natural and friendly convo
