An absolutely fantastic episode. The gentlemans faithfulness is amazing. Always recall watching the 12th parade and looking forward to seeing the Queen Elizabeth and Thornliebank parade. Both the bands walked with Sandy Row district then.
A true legend
The word "LEGEND" is used loosely these days but Harry is the true definition LEGEND and he is credit to the band scene and more importantly his family.

A LEGEND OF A MAN 🇬🇧
A legend and a gentleman
Followed them along the U.K.'s longest street, without a cross street that is, MacLellan, in about 1968 and was told the big drum major was an ex Rangers player. Saw the band a few years ago at a church parade and asked a band member if this was true. Sadly not, he told me but was widely thought to be true and he had no idea how the rumour started. A great band with an amazing history.
I thought Harry might have mentioned that City of Glasgow ABOD was founded by SOU members and I believe has attracted many current and former bandsman.
