I’m from Sandefjord, and everyone around the club fell in love with this man. His style of play is a lot simular to Kompanys Burnley (last season) and i think he will be a success at qpr from What i’ve seen. And thats not mentoning how great of a person he is. He really cares about his projects, fans and players. And he also puts all his effort and dedication into managing. I said years ago that he will reach the top, and i think he will take this team to new heights.
Thanks for your comment, that’s so reassuring to hear! I really hope he’s a success here, on paper he sounds very promising. I just hope he can implement his style with what is a very limited squad right now.
Cifuentes is a good manager, he had some roughy times this season at Hammarby but only lost one match this year since August. From a Hammarby supporter myself I think he will do good at QPR and hope the best for the club and the manager!
Iam in Australia..one of the bosses is a Manchester United supporter.... he's always taunting me .. about being in league one next year...I suppose it didn't help I would play the audio of the Aguero goal to him all the time
To be honest I’ve never heard of him, sounded like Warnock was a done deal. I’ll keep an open mind until I’ve watched a couple of games. Seems risky though considering the position we’re in at the moment.
Warnock was on TalkSPORT this morning said he would of been more than happy to help us out till the end of the season. Hope the powers that be have done the right thing ….
His ideas and style of play is the right direction to try to regain a more control based game and long term its the right appointment. The worry is we've been through so many managers with different style of plays and GA was the polar opposite im not sure how well and quick the players will adjust especially with the attitude they've been showing.
I think this is a brave appointment. I think as you say back to the long term plan to play attractive football [ hopefully ] in a 433 Barca way?. As a few said, it is Oct not Jan so don`t panic just yet. There were disadvantages with Warnock going back etc.. At least they appointed quickly. Cifuentes will have Jan loans etc. to try & shape the Team.
Obviously hope this works out for him and for us, but what a tough situation to walk into for your first appointment in England. Championship is incredibly difficult, you’re taking over close to the bottom, and the players seem incredibly fragile mentally and 3-4 seem likely to try and get a red in any given game. Something something, “fine line between bravery and stupidity.”
Exactly that Nick. It’s probably the toughest Championship there’s been for 10 years! Equally, no guarantee that a relegation specialist could have sorted us out.
I can't believe this, what are we thinking. 2nd from bottom and in desperate need of wins we hire a very random coach with very limited experience at our level
Cifuentes started strong in Hammarby last year. This year we have sold many strong players. Hammarby recruted some players, but Marti had a tough time make it work until this summer i Europa league games against FC Twente. After these two games Hammar by played stronger. But the last 5-6 games it was a disaster. I´m cuite glad he left! He are a bad match manager, Do some strange subs, whish often result the team to be weeker.
Well they have well and truly put their necks on the line now. If this do4snt work then Hoos and the owners need to take a long hard look at themselves. I hope I am proved wrong but.....😮
The fans wanted Neil Warnock. Marti has got just 4 games to prove his credibility. Lee Hoos is taking a massive gamble and could end up with lotsa egg on his face and would need to resign. Then perhaps the Board would relent in welcoming Warnock at Double Pay !!!
Marti WHO? I honestly think the board have lost the plot. They must think they've signed Pep meets Graham Potter, but just because he's a Catalan doesn't mean the sun shines out of his Barcelona, if you know what I mean. We needed someone with clear experience of our league, someone who could get us out of the relegation zone. At this point even Ainsworth has more experience in a Championship relegation scrap than this fella. Don't want to immediately get on his back and have a go at him, I hope he does an amazing job. I wish him all the best, come on you Rs and all that. But the last few luxury foreign coaches we've had haven't exactly set the house on fire (Di Canio, Sousa, Hasselbaink). What does he know about the kinds of players needed for the Championship when compared to Pearson, Rowett, Warnock, Eustace, or even dare I say it (Ian) Beale? Even if Cifuentes does have a bit of an insight into the Championship, what is the overall plan when we haven't even got a new director of football? This appointment just says to me that the board have done it to save some money. It makes no sense. I just don't get it 🤷♂
It’s a huge gamble that’s for sure, and one I didn’t see coming. Then again, I half knew they wouldn’t make the choice that was there on a plate to be made (Warnock). Maybe that shows that relationship isn’t as good as many think it is. To that point - would any of the managers you listed touch us with a barge pole?
@@HoopsaTH-cam That's a good point re Barge pole. Maybe Cifuentes was the only one willing to take the job on? As a Catalan he should at least know how to get the best out of our two number 10's- Chair and Willock. Hopefully he get's us playing attractive football again. I wanna give this guy a chance, I mean it's not his fault our board don't seem to know their Rs from their elbow. But still, it's a bizarre appointment.
@@Barrettszippo It’s the timing that makes it so weird. Make that appointment last or next summer and he’d be see as an exciting unknown prospect. Right now it feels like another throw of the dice. Agree he should get our best midfielders ticking again though. I just want to see entertaining football again, that will be a start for me.
Warnock was the ideal man for the situation , the fact we have no director of football is really started to tell. GA was appointed by the board, disaster, Les resigned when he saw GA players required , now this , beginning of the season fine but not now
In marti cifeuents we believe he can keep the club up. So to all fans just had chris dillion who is a Lee hoo fan speaks to me and is so deluded he thinks Lee hoo is doing a good job I told him all the fans want him out he is shitten and he hates fans hates the club no passion and chris dillion is deluded that he has saved the club going bust vose a load of shitten
What a huge gamble this is!
Big time!

Hmm we shall see.

I think he will do ok and I have never heard of him before. Thanks bro.

Great love a gamble!

It’s strange many outlets were reporting Warnock was done!
@@HoopsaTH-camWarnock has more sense than he's given credit for, even he knows a dead duck when he sees one, League 1 awaits I'm afraid.
@@johndublyoo2553 He's in a position where he can pick from any four/five bottom Championship club as well, who will all turn to him if needed.
I think this might be the change we needed. Hopefully he has a pair of bollox and is a straight talker.
Warnock was on TalkSPORT this morning said he would of been more than happy to help us out till the end of the season. Hope the powers that be have done the right thing ….
I hope this goes well.
I would have loved Neil back but now have to wait and see how Marti gets on.

Agreed Luke, although this squad wasn't exactly taken with GA's lump-it-long style, so maybe Cifuentes' style will be a more natural fit.
The board has obviously gone mad.Who is he?

I agree re: Warnock, there was no guarantee that would have paid off (and if it hadn't, people would have questioned why we went back).
He's a doppelganger of Michael Beale! Brother from a different mother.. 😂
Beale with a beard and Spanish accent 😂

Fantástico

It really could backfire. Sounds like he's a knowledgeable coach but can he really get something out of this squad?
