Swans fan here. Clive is such a gem for QPR supporters Loft for Words is compulsory reading for me after QPR play the mighty Swans always balanced, always fair, always a good, well written read.

Clive should be compulsory viewing/reading for all QPR fans.

I really enjoy the intellectual responses from Clive.

Agreed. Especially compared to the other clown who struggles with basic English.

I've been on the bench far too long to do this, but I've finally gotten around to joining and donating to the LFW Patreon. Love LFW (I havent posted in years) but want to show my support for Clive and the thankless task he has running that ship. I hope others get off their can like I finally did and donate at least a cup of coffee a month. Thanks, Clive for all you do🤘

The board clearly like this guy, he was in the running when Beale got the job
If we go down we may as well go down with the long term plan guy in place
If we stay up matey would be elsewhere/more expensive 🤷‍♂️
Warnock ain’t long term and we all know it

    Great podcast chaps.
As a 🐝💤 fan, I think you should have at least given Gareth until the end of the season … the flags are at half mast in Hounslow High Street..

Great listen and I’ll be at Rotherham on Saturday and can’t wait to witness the dawning of a new era and a move away from the prehistoric dinosaur Flintstone-ball that Ainsworth was serving us up… I’m confident that my 500mile plus round trip from the Kent coast will be an enjoyable one and welcome aboard Marti…💪🏻😎

We’re in trouble that’s for sure

You were in trouble as soon as you appointed Ainsworth
A 60s throwback who could only play hoofball.
Stick a big man up front and by pass midfield
He may have got Wycombe promoted a couple of times but nobody could watch that every week

I know its only a small amount of time but I think now up until Jan is a very important for Rangers cause we will see if the players buy into the way he [Marti Cifuentes] wants to play and then we as fans will see a difference in individual performances from players and as a team and from this see if the players are on board long term because this is what we want to see 🤞🤞🤞 BUT your right we don't score enough goals, having Dykes as our number 9 = DOOM!!! LIKE YOU SAID EARLIER "play with no forward [number 9] just play x2 number 10 's instead" Cause playing Dykes is a waste of a players spot put someone in who can do what there put there for, Dykes doesn't do hIs job = SCORE! ppl will say "he doesn't get cross's in to score etc BUT good number 9's then create there OWN chances!!!

However, not sure about Clive's comments about LH. Being a Chairman is a 'very' small part-time role. You are essentially chairing a meeting with the shareholders when they choose to turn up. I would still see LH in the CEO role at the end of the season.

Many of the players at QPR right now played this style Marti wants under Warburton & Beale so should not be too difficult to install in the team, and dont forget he was at Millwall for a fair time so has knowledge of English Football

I'm sure Warnock was just the Telegraph filling space.

GA was at Wycombe for 8 years before promotion to the championship, there were relagated in the lst season, QPR were setup to lose under GA.

Wycombe fan here. Sad it didn't work out for Ainsworth at QPR. When GA took over at Wycombe, the club was close to disappearing completely, with millions in debt. We were one game from going out of the football league. With no money, he built a team that got into the Championship and nearly stayed up. His style of play was to win the only way you can win when you have no money. And he was brilliant at it. Listening to this with honest hope that QPR stay up - this "play the right style" is BS. If you could play football, you wouldn't be where you are in the league. The fact is the economics of football these days - you need millions investment to be in the top 2 leagues in England. And i'm sorry to say - you ain't got it.

  • @thebuildreview

Let's be honest, the squad isn't great. They would struggle under better managers.. GA couldn't find a way to get them to play his style and the rest is history. Marti will find it tough going, but what interests me is the exodus at the top, TF, AB and LF, something is amiss there. Clive, you should have your own show, no one knows Rangers better and your writing is first class!
