I'm glad you noticed the door is locked on a convertable. No one seems to notice Donny Osmond dancing behind Al. Al is brilliant. I wish he'd make more parodies.

As others have already mentioned, Donny Osmond was "dancing" in the background of some of the scenes. He was a contemporary of Michael Jackson. While Michael started out with his brothers in the Jackson 5, Donny and his brothers were doing the same as the Osmonds. Both went solo after a while. Donny even had a weekly variety show on ABC, co-hosting with his sister. It was called _Donnie & Marie._ This video is fun for us old guys, seeing Donnie strut his stuff.

Weird Al has been rocking epic parodies for 30+ years, an incredibly talented artist that can flex into any genre. Celebrities _LOVE_ to get parodied by him because he always does such a great job, and has been doing parodies since he was 16 (I'm not sure you would have ever heard of Dr. Demento - a fave for those of us with AM radios growing up within 200 miles of Chicago). 150+ parodies and original songs, he's a legend for parody.

This song both lampoons nerd culture and Hip hop but does so in a non judgemental way. It's basically asking the rappers "Come on you guys, isn't there a funny side to this?"
And because he's asking this in a non judgemental way and with a genuine rapping capability, the rappers go "Yeah, you're right there IS a funny side to it."

The funny thing about him doing this video, was Al couldn't see what Donny was doing behind him but the entire crew could see and they were hysterical the story goes, Al had to wait until he was done singing to ask Donny what was he doing behind him.
