And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?
From real life stunt man and director David Leitch, the blockbuster director of Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and the producer of John Wick, Nobody and Violent Night, comes his most personal film yet. A new hilarious, hard-driving, all-star apex-action thriller and love letter to action movies and the hard-working and under-appreciated crew of people who make them: The Fall Guy.
Oscar® nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land, Drive) stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health, is drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie-being directed by his ex, Jody Moreno, played by Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place films, Sicario)-goes missing.
While the film’s ruthless producer (Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham; Ted Lasso), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson; Bullet Train) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt will find himself ensnared in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt.
Inspired by the hit 1980s TV series, The Fall Guy also stars Winston Duke (Black Panther franchise) and Academy Award® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

I saw this film because the movie I wanted to watch didn't have any schedules. This was such a phenomenal movie from a technical point of view. The cinematography, the sound design, the action sequences, the acting. The way I see it, I gave it the highest rating since Grand Budapest Hotel. Not to say there weren't any great movies in general in between the 2. But it was just superb.

Ryan Gosling is having a good time these days. With Barbie and now The Fall Guy, man is certainly having a lot of fun with these two roles in showcasing more of his range. As good as he is in dramatic roles like Drive and Blade Runner 2049, the man is absolutely wonderful in comedy movies 👍

Makes sense… some of his earliest roles leaned toward comedy. He was Young Hercules and on some syndicated sitcom about a high school on a cruise ship.

Gosling in this movie is actually perfect ! He played in 2 movies where his character was a literal stuntman - "Place beyond the pines" + "Drive". Now this is the Gosling I know.
Two incredibly versatile leads with great cast chemistry. I'm gonna watch this in theater.
Oscars should honestly create a best stunt choreography/Practical Effects category. VFX/CGI and Practical Effects are two completely different tools and both should get the right recognition.

I imagine they don’t yet because they don’t have an really clearcut way to judge it because watching the movie you don’t really know how many more stunts is more complicated than another movie because you’re just watching the finish product. Or what work went into it because you’re not seeing the behind-the-scenes of all these movies to judge.

The Driver ends up in a coma after the events of the first movie. Continues to find work as a stuntman, and builds a new personality, until the wrong guy pushes him too far in an elevator in 'The Fall Guy' and suddenly he... "Beats the shit out of him..."

I'm disappointed, Lee Majors character wasn't some bumbling guy, Yes he was a stunt guy, but when he wasn't working on a film, he was also a bounty hunter. he had a compartment in his truck to hide his bounty while driving them past corrupt cops, I loved the series, but not loving this trailer sorry.

I saw the movie and it is a blast. Great acting, great lead chemistry, and plain old fun. Plus, you get to see how stunts are performed on a movie set. I love this movie. I could watch it again and again!!
I just saw this in the cinema.. I absolutely loved it! So refreshing! The cinematography was amazing, the actors and stunts were brilliant! The story is so funny, romantic and yet so exciting filled with action!!! I can’t wait to see it again! 10 out of 10!!!! 🎉💪

Just watched it. And I REALLY hope it doesn’t flop after its underwhelming opening. It’s a fun, entertaining, crowd pleasing action movie. The comedy, action, romance, mystery, and creativity is all there! 8/10, definitely recommend

So I saw an advance screening of this…..the practical stunts they pull off in this is unreal. And it’s a tier 1 romantic action comedy.

It shows the three stunt doubles for him: Justin Eaton, Ben Jenkin and Logan Holladay. Yes Ryan was on that street and yes he did part of a fall. But his stunt doubles did most of the stunts. Do not discount what those men do.

Gosling is arguably the best comic actor at the minute. Anybody who has seen The Big Short, Crazy Stupid Love, Barbie and The Nice Guys knows he can deliver the comedy chops as well the other emotions needed for balanced comedy.

David Leitch's rise as a filmmaker has been so impressive. So much high profile work with a distinct style and consistent quality. This movie looks like a bonafide move into Michael Bay territory.

Watched it. Kind of a throwback to better days. Highly recommend it as a date movie. Gosling and Blunt have great chemistry. Some of the action scenes go on forever though. No message, no real thinking involved, just happy vibes, lets you forget the world for a bit.

I saw this movie yesterday in a special screening we had in mexico and it was such a fun time!! it was a secret movie so we were all excited to see what it was going to be. i was not expecting to see this one, i thought it would be an already released movie. emily blunt playing a director feels so natural and ryan's charisma is better than ever. great soundtrack and visuals too

Bullet Train is great! The rare movie that is better than the book it is based on, and it isn’t just. Little bit better, it is a lot better.
This movie is perfect. It’s everything a movie should be. A movie that transports you and takes you on a ride of a lifetime. It’s so incredibly fun, exhilarating, inspiring, funny, massive, touching, heartfelt, awe inspiring, loving, daring, extremely well written and performed and made. It’s a complete and utter blast. I smiled legit the entire movie. And so far seen it twice. It’s everything a movie should be. Absolutely perfect for the theater, I wanna seen it everyday till it leaves. It’s just so cool. So fun. I absolutely loved the film! Loved learning and seeing this side of movies. I want to be a stunt performer now!
It’s become such a bright spot in my life right now.
I wish I could explain better how amazing this film is and how much it means to me.
The music is incredible.
The credits. The beginning, middle, and end. The twists. The action. The comedy. The romance. From the very moment it started (that pre film texting clip included!) to the very moment it ended. A perfect film.
I’m so grateful for these guys, for everyone who made this movie, for stunt performers. Thank you for stunts. Thank you for this. Thank you for what you do. Thank you for in a small part doing it for us. I’m eternally grateful. And thank you for this movie. It’s absolute blast and new all time favorite.

Just came back from the theaters, and this movie hit hard! It was a bit corny and predictable at times but I haven’t seen something so charming and wholesome while entertaining from Hollywood in such a long time. Ryan Gosling never misses🤍
