    Every doctor I have ever posed the question of "Is it possible to change
    /clean up my diet & fix health issues?", has laughed & said "once you have a disease - you have that disease for life - take the medication."
    Good for you for figuring it out & healing yourself.

      Thank you. And same- I think it’s rare that chronic illness is reversed with our typical lifestyle the way they are so doctors don’t think it’s necessarily possible. The great thing is - it is possible in many if not most cases.

      Thank you. And yes, the same for me. I think that is what they are taught in medical school and in most cases, people don’t heal or reverse disease on the typical western protocols and the standard diets and lifestyle so they are often “proved” correct.

    I have had RA for. 30 years and started the whole plant based diet in 2021. I am about 85% whole plant based but I am still taking drugs and it it horrible. I can’t get off the sugar; it makes my joint scream.

      It can be so hard. And sometimes we need specialized tweaking.

    The medicine are also very bad for your bones. I know that now .

      Yes, many are harmful to bone and organ health. Luckily we can often heal both using diet and lifestyle modifications.

    This video was great!! Her story is one of many reasons why I do not go to conventional doctors for my health. If a doctor doesn't check my diet or behaviors/habits before they write a prescription, I don't get it filled. If it's trauma care that's one thing, but for maintenance, it's best to check your foods, sleep, vitamin & mineral deficiencies, hormones, etc. It was almost always my food choices that caused my joint issues.

      Isn’t it crazy and cool that we have most of the power to control our well-being? I do wish more doctors would advocate for a healing environment and lifestyle modifications before giving (often dangerous) meds to mask symptoms. Eating healthy Whole Foods have no side effects. So why not implement that first?

    At 40 years old I started waking up with a few stiff fingers every day. I asked God for an answer and then randomly watched What the Health on Netflix. I decided to stop eating meat and dairy that day and in seven to ten days my finger flexibility was back to normal. The arthritis has never returned and I am now 54 years old.

    i have cut out everything out of my diet including coffee and milk organic, i ate meat yesterday and the pain in my knee was through the roof, i will start vegan because a few years ago i did the vegan diet for over three months and i remember that one day i felt no pain in my body, so there's got to be something bad in our shop meats that are making us sick with arthiritus

    • @laurielandry
      @laurielandry 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Meat and other animal products are highly inflammatory so it it makes sense that your knee and body pain is worse while eating those and better when not. I hope you can continue to eat the way your body feels best.

    Amazing story Laurie!
    When your rheumatologist said "There's no correlation between eating sugar and joint pain" sooo many people just stop there..and sadly stay in pain. I am so grateful for you not stopping and getting to the root cause!
    And Chef AJ it's so amazing you inspired her- thank you!❤️ Absolutely love this topic and thank you both for spreading this info!!❤️❤️❤️

    I had to substitute the dairy for a good while before I could start doing without.
    After that when I went back to dairy it tasted terrible to me!😂

      @laurielandry 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s good to know that it tasted terrible when you went back to try dairy. The thought of it makes me a bit grossed out. And yeah many people use non dairy alternatives to help them transition. There are some healthy, oil free cheese recipes in the vegan health bundle that I’m liking forward to trying- on sale right now until March 10th.
