I support this video 100%. I’m a vegan chef and a 7 time Nike champion I run over 4,000 miles a year and can’t lose. Food is medicine and diabetes runs in my family and my numbers are better than ever as I cook, sell and eat the healthiest meals on this planet. Plant strong! ❤

What runs in your family is you're dinner plates! You eat what they ate. So Naturally, you all get the same diseases! You are, what you eat. I suspect you eat a lot of of cooking oil (Liquid fat)
That is way too much saturated fat (Liquid fat) even for vegan. Stop eating Oil by the truck loads. I ate popcorn and gave myself a stroke. I was eating avocado oil like gravy, making popcorn, vegan right? The problem was I had sleep apnea causing High Blood Pressure. I went to ER three times with High blood Pressure 265/145 I was lazy and substituted Popcorn for dinner. (no salt at all, just dripping of avocado oil popcorn and seasonings). After a 18 mile bike ride and I couldn't walk after getting off bike. (stroke) now I take daily meds and it sucks. I'm stuck in the medical system. Still Vegan though. Had I not been plant based I would have died. Cups of Olive oil (Liquid fat) can't be burned off like cord wood!!! Running 10 thousand miles a year won't fix your vegan diet if you eat liquid fat!

The older I get the more confused I get about what is good healthy lifestyle when it comes to food. I personally don’t think that the answer is to eat a lot of meat, but also it is not to cut out every animal product either. I believe as long as you cut out the junk food, like cookies, cakes, ice cream, crackers, bread, pretzels, bagels, etc. and you stick to fruit vegetables, nuts, seeds, beans, and some meat it would be OK

Apart from the great content, I really enjoyed how she listened to the people she interviewed without interrupting them. That has become so rare these days. It had something soothing. I am totally convinced that this is the right way to eat, just have to find a way to get out of my sugar and dairy addiction.

Over the last 2 years I’ve massively cut down on processed food & no longer use seed oils. I’ve increased plant diversity to benefit my microbiome but I still eat some meat, poultry, eggs, dairy & fish. I also do intermittent fasting & I’m a stone lighter so no longer overweight & take no meds age 60+. A few days ago I listened to a podcast with Dr Anthony Chaffee who is totally carnivore & never eats plants. It’s so interesting (& confusing!) hearing such opposing views on what is a healthy diet. For myself I feel I’ve found the right balance without excluding any food group, except UPF, which really isn’t food anyway!

My husband & i don't consume milk, we've cut down on eggs too. Switching to vegan makes more sense, thx for the awesome advice 🙏🏼

I've heard this info many times, but I still need reminders. Thanks for stressing whole food plant based, not simply 'vegan.' When I eat vegan but not predominantly wfpb I gain weight and have more headaches and acid reflux.

The body needs heme iron. I think a flexitarian diet is the right path. If vegetarian diet was a the way to go it would not need to be supplemented with b-12 and other vitamins. Plus your body can’t absorb adequate iron from non heme choices. As long as junk processed foods are cut out then I think this is a good way to stay healthy and supply the body with nutrients it needs.

That's just not true. There's plenty of people who live without any chronic disease on a completely plant-based diet. I've been vegan all my life, and haven't cooked with oil for 10 years. Where does oil come from in the first place? From the olive. Eat the olive, the whole plant contains the fat we need. If nature would have intended for us to guzzle olive oil there would be olive oil trees.

Animal foods are loaded with fat and cholesterol. Fat and cholesterol leads to atherosclerosis. If you're doubting this information which has been well-known fact in medicine since decades, you're akin to a conspiracy theorist in my mind. Read the science about what causes atherosclerosis. Look at the cholesterol and saturated fat in meat / dairy / chicken / fish / eggs compared to in ANY plant! This is totally ridiculous that we're still discussing this topic. It's not even controversial amongst serious-minded experts.
