thanks for sharing . love this just think of how many times you are fishing for panfish or bass ,walleye and you hook a musky on a small jig . if you read Rizzo's books he talks about fishing with jigs and minnows
I just started jig fishing this season. Bouncing the esox cobra jig and swimming the raptor grave digger. Got a 44 last week! For sure a new fall strategy for me.
A Medusa, Baby Beaver, and a Bulldawg... are jigs. But we tend not to think of them as a jig. We think of them more like a traditional jerkbait, but they're really jigs with the weight inside the body rather than on the nose. I have a couple of those Curtiss Creatures jigs, but I never used them. I don't know why. Brian, next time you're deadsticking a sucker rig next to the boat, try using one of these jigs near the sucker. Use the jig to attract the muskie to the sucker. Rich used to speak at my Twin Cities Muskie Inc chapter back in the 90's and early 00's. I've met him a couple of times. Rich was also friends with Todd Cleveland of Phantom lures before Todd passed. I used to hang out with Todd in his workshop. He showed me some lures he got from Rich, but I don't remember what lures they were.
Cougar Baits are awesome quality fish catching baits made by a good dude
This is the kind of musky presentation I have always been curious about!
It works
Thank you Brian for getting an absolutely legend on film for our future angling nerds to dissect. Would love to shake that man’s hand.
@bradylewis1502 It's always fun talking with Rich. Never a dull moment!
