why I jumped from my galaxy S22 ultra to a Pixel 7 Pro, but jumped right back!

    This was the first video of yours that the algorithm recommended. Rather than just watching this video and never coming back to your channel, I decided that I would give you some constructive criticism. I’m someone who has had Samsung phones exclusively since 2006. Last week was the first time that I bought a non Samsung phone, a pixel. I think that you approached this video completely incorrectly. You didn’t actually commit to switching from Samsung. You looked for reasons to go right back to what was comfortable. Part of the issue that I discovered once I switched to Pixel was just how much of a negative Samsung having their own apps that are redundant to what Google provides. Samsung does this to make it more difficult to switch so that more users will feel compelled to continue paying higher prices for their devices that are only marginally better than non flagship phones. The video would have been more helpful if you legit explored the positives that aren’t available on the Samsung devices like call screening, song recognition, and other AI features unique to Pixel. Your entire frame was to approach Samsung as being the standard and any deviation from that was taken as a negative rather than reviewing each as separate entities and evaluating them on their own merits. Just based on the limitations of this video I wouldn’t trust your reviews for other products. Hopefully some of that resonates with you as you continue your journey to improve as a creator. Good luck.

      I appreciate your useful feedback and I'll take that on for my next video, I do agree that I was referring to galaxy devices as the standard, but that's not surprising as I've only ever used galaxy devices since ending my use of BlackBerry phones. I do feel I highlighted some positives in this video although I could have spent more time getting used to it, I was however under pressure to return the device within the month to google of I wasn't happy with the phone. I'm not an established you tuber that gets phones given to me, just a working class dad of three that can just about afford a new phone once a year and as you can imagine I don't have as much time to create content as much as id like, but I squeeze out what I can when time is given.
      I do think the lack of creativity was disappointing as android has been known for letting users be creative and have more customisation. I've not needed to download a custom launcher for several years now and that's because Samsung one UI is good enough for me, long gone are the days of the glitchy touch wiz and although I like that we have the choice to download alternative lunchers, icons, as well as themes, most fathers in their 40s like myself just don't have the time to mess about with these things anymore.. so yeah it's just easier for me to stick with what I know and back up my galaxy devices for an easier transition for my next device. I'm currently using a S23 ultra and very happy with it. It's an overpriced phone yes but arguably the best phone on the market right now.

      @@tweefurspixel system software is better than Samsung, more intelligent and you can control any apps by pause option, editing instantly copied texts and images and more..

    Samsung has a lot of bloat = 60GB vs 15GB. That's a lot of extra storage

    For me, the best Samsung is the S23 Series, the rest is still not impressive. This year's S23 series is too impressive in all aspects. But I bought my Pixel 7 Pro 5/14/23 and I love it, I switched from my Pixel 3XL. I like everything simple.

    Hi, there. I found your review useful, from GPS point. Because, I use my phone's GPS a lot. You mentioned a problem with Pixel 7 Pro GPS. Could you, please, give a bit more detail on this? Because, I am planning to get Pixel 7 Pro, but after watching you review, I am questioning it. Thanks.

    • @tweefurs
      @tweefurs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I initially had a gps issue with my Galaxy phone's in that they couldn't always keep upnto date on my location, whilst in transit. I thought it was a samsung one ui software issue but I did the location accuracy worse on the pixel 7 pro. That's never an issue with finding your location initially but whilst driving it just didn't keep up with my movements quick enough and made ot almost impossible to use as my my main satnav. Since the the latest firmware update on the Samsung device seemed to have resolved the issue, although it still struggles at times. It seems that phones are not picking up all the GPS satellites available which results in poor accuracy, whether you use Waze or Maps

    thank you for choosing the same wallpaper for both, it really puts screens into perspective so to say... which brings me to my question, is it me or is the pixel's screen better? ultra's screen seems bad on whites and also angles.

    • @tweefurs
      @tweefurs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did think at the time during recording that the pixel looked better and that surprised me. Samsung have dominated in screens for so long, it was only a matter of time before others caught up.

    • @Swole_Gecko
      @Swole_Gecko ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idk what you're watching this on but for me the samsung looks better. The pixel has an extremely orange tint over everything thing and the white does not look white?

    • @tweefurs
      @tweefurs  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just realised why the Samsung screen may not have been a true reflection of what It can look like. I had the option ticked to dim the wallpaper when in dark mode. It's usually lots brighter. I just discovered this on my new S23 ultra

    wondering if you really explored the google 7 pro before making some of your comments. yes you can put your apps into group on your home screen . it is just done differently than samsung . Maybe explore it a bit better then review it.

    • @tweefurs
      @tweefurs  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate your feedback, but it wasn't the home screen I wanted my apps grouped together, it was the app drawer and that still seems to be a feature not available for the phone. Not important to most peole but Id like that option.
      I can't remember if I mentioned this in the video but I had a small amount of time before returning the phone so didn't have the time to use the phone as long as I would have liked to. So maybe it was more of a a first look rather than review. But the lack of customisable options put me off straight away and I haven't had to use alternative launcher for 10 years now so that was the main put off for me.

    So the Pixel camera is slower, but which is better?

    • @tweefurs
      @tweefurs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pixel camera is easier to use so most may choose that camera over the S22 ultra, I think the s22 has a slight edge over pixel though.

    Sorta in the same boat myself. Pixel fan since the 2xl but triwd out Samsung wirh the S22 ultra. The phone can do do much but the Pixel is more for me. Using a 7 now and love it. Just suits me better.

    One thing I will say I have not changed my phone in years I have a Nokia 8.3 5g phone absolutely no bloatware 512gb storage and looking to change I am looking at Samsung but two things the snapdragon processor is there which is great the S23 Ultra is there but the quality of their screens with the amoled screen problems in the corners is frightening for a pricey phone and the unveiling of Samsung s24ultra with Exynos again is too risky with lagging and overheating with possible screen problems throws me off them even though they are brilliant phones time will tell just shop around
