    Great job Canon and Jem! Glad to see Canon has not given up on the R5C. Hoping Canon would create a better battery just for the R5C in the future that can give us a longer record time, yes keeping the camera the same size.

    I found your series and while only 9 minutes into Part 1 I like your presentation style and can see I will be watching them all. I want to add that even though I was focused on what you were walking us through shutter angle. Your little friend (9:05 approx) was a great easter egg making a grand entrance. LOL

    The camera should be able to shoot far higher frame rates at 1080P resolutions, I really hope we see that in an update soon 8k60p should easily equate to 240FPS in 1080 or even 480!

    I wish I could adjust the shutter speed in lower increments. My R5C is moving by 10° each adjustment. On my GH5 I was able to adjust in one degree. That helps me a lot when adjusting for flickering of bulbs in my office.

    Thank you for your insightful video. Do you know if there is a way to remotely view and set the focus area on the R5C while in the Video mode? I know that start/stop recording can be triggered by a remote shutter button. And, will
    the R5C connect to the Canon Camera Connect app when paired with an external Wi-Fi grip? Thank you, Alan

    Could you please help me with the following issue: my Canon R5C camera shuts down during video recording, the LCD screen goes dark, and the viewfinder also goes dark. When I switch the power to "OFF", the camera does not turn off. I have to remove the battery and reinsert it, after which the camera works for a while and then freezes again. This is very frustrating. What should I do in this situation?

    • @CanonUSA

    What is the difference between an R5 and an R5C?

    • @WildHorseProductions
      @WildHorseProductions ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's the cinema hybrid version. I own both and FYI don't buy it unless you're heavy into video and are willing to learn a new OS because it's very different.

    • @josemocha
      @josemocha ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a Camera OS and Cinema OS. The R5C toggles between them. The R5 has a recording limit of about 30min. The R5C can record for as long as you have a power source. The R5C doesn't have IBS.

    Been using this for photo and video heavily! In dust, in rain, in action, in still, mounted to cars inside/outside. This DOES everything! The only thing which is REALLY BAD, is the Canon techs who are fixing these, ABSOLUTE HORRIBLY REPAIR QUALITY! Got my R5C back with bad screw (corrosion at the viewfinder screw), lens was cleaned and came back with oil stains on the front metal ring which holds the last optics in place, that metal piece also slightly bent and the dust not properly removed (RF 24-70 2.8L). The camera shutter now is super loud and sounds like a cheap metal *PING* everytime I shoot mechanical, even people next to me notice! Display housing, the one under it got replaced and the texture feels cheap. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE CANON repair! I buy everything Canon, camera, lens, even printer but this experience makes me want to stop buying it, full stop. Unprofessional to the maximum! The R5C on the other hand is incredible itself, absolute gem of modern technology.
