I love the approach that the hair was styled before cutting, because it’s curly and that’s how she wears her hair. The hair shape after the cut however, was not favorable. It shifted from slightly rounded to sharply triangular. Also some hair needed to be trimmed in the back however, the amount was exaggerated by how far she was instructed to lean her head forward at 3:40 mark. Leaning excessively to any side will create an illusion of an imbalance especially on layers. I believe this lead to unnecessarily shorter hair. Her hair was not ruined but the length and shape did not meet the goal set at the beginning of the video and the before the cut was more preferable, in my opinion. Cutting curly hair is not easy. But fortunately techniques can be practiced and perfected on mannequins. I think we are all here to learn.
It looks more triangular from the front than it did before. These cuts don't address hair health, in my experience. Need to blow it out to see what the ends look like and do a precision cut in order to get most of the split ends and damage. I've had a few dry curly cuts and they grow out terribly. Ended up having to take a lot of length off to get hair to look good again.
She's stunning, he's nice, thank you for explaining the process for this type of cut. I think it could have become a bit more round shaped and less triangular but it's pretty.
I think its also fine if a hairdresser specialises in one texture hair. They will be more knowledgable on that particulair texture and it will attract clients accordingly.
Great class! Loved how thoroughly you explained each step of the process and why. Thank you for such detail!
Loving this ! My suggestion would be to drape dark haired client in lighter color to see detail.
Gorgeous girl.
Great hair.
This was very good! Thanks

Agree.
after cutting the hair if she washes her hair later on and it drys and different curls form will the shape of your cut stay the same?
Sort of, for a while. That's why I cut my hair even in a blown out state. Curly cuts don't grow out very well, in my experience.
Curly hair
you had me until you started blowing the hair around
i could never have the patience to let someone play with my hair that much
